Abstract

The Kepok Unti Sayang variety is a superior type of banana that is resistant to fusarium wilt. The high demand for Kepok Unti Sayang needs to be balanced with good seed production. One of the methods used for multiplying superior seeds of Kepok Unti Sayang is through tissue culture. This research aims to obtain the optimal concentration of Naphtaleine Acetic Acid (NAA) in the subculture media for the growth of root numbers in the Kepok Unti Sayang Banana. The second objective is to determine the optimal concentration of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) in the subculture medium for shoot number growth in Kepok Unti Sayang bananas. Another goal is to identify the best treatment combination that can produce the highest number of shoots in Kepok Unti Sayang bananas. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology at Sebelas Maret University from February to July 2025. The study was conducted with 4 levels of NAA treatment: 0; 0.5; 1; and 1.5 ppm. The BAP treatment was administered at 4 levels: 0; 1; 2; and 3 ppm. The variables observed in this study were the time of shoot emergence, number of shoots, time of root emergence, root length, and final height of the planlet. Data from each variable were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with an F-test at a significance level of 95%. Significantly different data were then followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a significance level of 95%. The significant combination of NAA and BAP on the observed variables was then reanalyzed using regression tests. The results showed that the application of various concentrations of NAA does not affect the growth of the number of roots of Kepok bananas var. Unti Sayang. The application of 2 ppm BAP is optimal for the growth of the number of shoots of Kepok bananas var. Unti Sayang. The interaction between 1 ppm NAA and BAP at 1-2 ppm produces the most optimal average shoot emergence time.

Abstract

Biduri (Calotropis gigantea) was a wild plant that had many benefits in the health and textile industries. In the health sector, biduri was used as a herbal plant, while in the textile industry, used as the main raw material. Biduri could be used as a substitute for kapok as the main raw material, therefore it was necessary to develop cultivation technology to met the needs. This research was conducted at the Jumantono Field Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture UNS, Karanganyar using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), which consisted of 2 factors, namely cow dung fertilizer, and mycorrhizae. Cow dung fertilizer consists of 0 ton/ha, 10 ton/ha, and 20 ton/ha. Mycorrhizae consisted of 0 grams/plant, 5 grams/plant, 10gram/plant, and 15gram/plant. There were 36 treatment combination that consist of 12 treatment combination repeated 3 times. The interaction between cow dung did not significantly affect all physiological observation variables. The results showed that the application of 20 ton/ha of cow dung fertilizer gave the best results on the width of stomata openings, the rate of photosynthesis, and the rate of transpiration. Inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi had no significant effect on all observations of physiological variables Keywords: Calotropis gigantea, cow manure, mycorrhiza, physiological

Abstract

Hasil pengabdian kolaborasi sosial UNS dan UNIMUDA Sorong yang membawa semangat tourismpreneur berhasil membawa mitra sasaran Rumah Etnik Papua dan Pemuda Karang Taruna Malasom naik level dari aspek omset meningkat hingga 525%, kualitas pengetahuan dan skill SDM terpenuhi 100%, serta aspek aksesibilitas digital (penerapan teknologi) terpenuhi 100%.Abstract: Geographically, Malasom Village, Aimas District has strategic potential because it is located in the city center and government of Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province. Based on the 2023 Sorong Regency Regional Development Plan (RPD), data was found that the level of community welfare is still low. This finding is supported by Sorong Regency BPS data which shows that the poverty rate from 2020 - 2022 continues to increase. Therefore, the objectives of this service are: (1) Increasing the turnover of target partners, (2) Increasing the knowledge and skills of target HR partners, (3) applying technology to production and marketing aspects. Community service methods include pre-activity (observation and interviews), implementation of activities (FGD, socialization, training and mentoring), as well as activity evaluation through target partner empowerment level analysis sheets and participatory interviews after program implementation. Results of UNS and UNIMUDA Sorong social collaboration service which carries the Tourismpreneur spirit, succeeded in bringing the target partners Rumah Etnik Papua and Karang Taruna Malasom Youth to a level up in terms of turnover increasing to 525%, the quality of HR knowledge and skills being met 100%, and the aspect of digital accessibility (application of technology) being fulfilled 100%.
