Abstract

Grumusol soil is a type of soil that contains significant amounts of silica. Silica content in grumusol soil can reach up to 90%. The aim of this research was to determine the characteristics of silica nanostructures in Grumusol soil. The stages of the research were carried out including the preparation of raw materials, silica extraction, and XRD analysis. The raw material preparation stage is carried out by cleaning the grumusol soil from dirt. The second stage was carried out by synthesizing silica with the base extraction method and followed by acid deposition. The final stage is X-Ray Diffracion (XRD) analysis. The results of the research that has been carried out is the FWHM value of 0.0900 (<0.1) which indicates that the crystals produced have very good crystals with a very regular structure. The crystal size which includes nanosilica is 39.5076-48.6633 nm for 3M NaOH with 1 and 3 hours extraction time and 5M NaOH with 1 hour extraction time

Abstract

Usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) kerajinan dompet kulit menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan pemasaran produk dan daya saing. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra yakni terkait pengemasan produk yang hanya dilakukan menggunakan plastik. Permasalahan yang kedua terkait pemenuhan permintaan pasar karena keterbatasan alat. Metode yang dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra yaitu dengan melakukan pelatihan pengemasan produk dan desain label serta pengadaan alat produksi. Pelatihan pengemasan produk dan desain label sangat penting bagi mitra sasaran karena sebagai identitas usaha yang dimiliki. Pengadaan alat untuk mitra juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap kenaikan jumlah produk yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

The formation of quality human resources (HR) is influenced by many factors, one of which is about the quality of health of young people at the best level. Borax is a chemical compound derived from heavy metals boron (B). Borax is an anti-septic and bacterial killer. In Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 722 / MenKes / Per / IX / 88 borax is stated as a hazardous material and is prohibited to be used in making food. Bulusidokare Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Subdistrict, is an area that is close to learning environments such as schools and Tutoring, so that it is vulnerable to foods that contain hazardous Food Additives (FA). Therefore, it is necessary to provide counseling training to housewives about the dangers of borax to health and how to analyze the content of borax in a simple and inexpensive way. The test material used is turmeric and toothpicks. While the samples to be tested are pentol, sausage, tofu, and borax. Borax is a FA which is very dangerous for health, the highest dose limit of 10-20 gr / kg of adult bodys weight and 5 gr / kg of body weight of children will cause poisoning and even death. Food ingredients that contain borax experience discoloration on toothpicks that have been soaked in turmeric solution which is red. The method of analyzing the content of borax using turmeric is a simple and inexpensive method because it uses ingredients that are always available at home, and the method of analyzing the content of borax using turmeric can be applied to food ingredients with soft texture.

Abstract

In 2016, Sidoarjo Regency became one of the districts with the highest number of SMEs. Embroidery is one of the results of its superior products, especially in the Tanggulangin area. However, currently Tanggulangin is only famous for bag craftsmen. Therefore, there is a need for assistance in boosting embroidery craft through a community partnership program (PKM). Some aspects of the problem that are prioritized in this program are aspects of production, product packaging, and marketing. From the aspect of production, the condition of partner production capacity 1 is still limited because partner 1 only has 1 embroidery machine. In addition, partner 1 does not have a soldering tool to punch holes in the applique. So the solution that will be given to the problem of the production aspect is to procure embroidery tools and production supporting equipment in the form of solder so as to maximize product preparation. The results achieved in this activity included labeling training, packaging, marketing and also machine purchases. Machine purchases are used to achieve the expected production capacity. The implementation of labeling and packaging training aims to make the products they market more attractive to consumers so they can increase the number of sales of their products. While online marketing training aims to make their products easier for the public to know.

Abstract

Duck breeders are the main occupation from the majority of Kebonsari villagers in Candi, Sidoarjo Regency. They process the eggs which are produced into salted eggs by various methods such as steamed, oven and grilled and salted eggs produced have a variety of flavors. One obstacle in developing their business is the lack of knowledge related to business financial management. Financial management training is conducted to enhance knowledge related to the importance of financial management and how to create a correct balance sheet. The result of the training that has been done is that now each member has their own balance sheet and can evaluate the business that has been run. It is expected that after this activity, each cooperative member understands how to develop their business effectively and efficiently based on the financial balance analysis they make.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid -19 yang telah dihadapi oleh masyarakat global , khususnya Indonesia , telah mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia. Pembatasan mobilitas masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mengendalikan penyebaran Covid-19 berdampak buruk terhadap perekonomian nasional. Dalam upaya mengurangi penyebaran dan dampak Covid-19 kepada masyarakat, tim PkM Fakultas Teknik Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo terjun langsung ke masyarakat untuk membantu program penanganan Covid-19 di Desa Rangkah Kidul , Sidoarjo. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pembagian masker gratis, edukasi masyarakat lewat pemasangan berbagai poster, kegiatan vaksinasi dan pembagian BLT dan sembako kepada warga terdampak. Kegiatan ini sebagai wujud kontribusi nyata civitas akademik Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo kepada masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Kerupuk ikan merupakan salah satu jenis olahan pangan yang berbahan dasar ikan dan mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi. Pengolahan hasil tangkapan laut menjadi kerupuk ikan menjadi alternatif pilihan masyarakat pesisir di Desa Kedungpandan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan. Salah satu ikan yang melimpah adalah ikan payus yang dapat dijadikan olahan kerupuk ikan. Kerupuk ikan payus mempunyai rasa yang enak dan gurih, bisa dijadikan camilan maupun teman makan nasi. Selain itu, kandungan gizi dari kerupuk ikan payus sangat bermanfaat untuk tubuh. Adapun tujuan dari program ini untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga nelayan dan mengubah cara berpikir masyarakat dalam mengolah ikan. Hal ini sebagai upaya untuk mengoptimalkan hasil tangkapan para nelayan di Desa Kedungpandan. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan dengan cara FGD (Focus Group Discussion), yaitu pemateri memaparkan tahap-tahap pengolahan ikan menjadi kerupuk ikan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung membuat kerupuk ikan. Saat praktik berlangsung, peserta dapat melakukan interaksi langsung dengan pemateri. Luaran dari program ini adalah terbentuknya keluarga nelayan yang mampu membuat dan memproduksi kerupuk ikan secara mandiri sehingga mampu menghasilkan produk dengan nilai ekonomi tinggi yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga nelayan.

Abstract

Waung Village is one of the villages located in Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency which has great potential in the development and conservation of toga. However, residents still have not optimized this potential. The aim of carrying out the Unusida HMTK PPK is as a form of synergy between students and the community to optimize the potential that exists in the village and create a healthy society. The activities carried out include socialization of the program, mapping of the biodiversity potential of medicinal plants in the village, training in planting and conservation of toga, as well as development of processing of toga products. The results of the implementation of the activities that have been carried out are the formation of a toga conservation area and the development of processed toga products in the form of telang syrup, telang chocolate and dry tea

Abstract

Biodiesel merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk mengurangi ketergantungan bahan bakar fosil dan mengurangi dampak lingkungan. Pemanfaatan limbah ikan patin menjadi salah satu pilihan bahan baku dalam pembuatan biodiesel. Tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu memanfaatkan limbah ikan patin (jeroan) sebagai bahan baku pembuatan biodiesel. Proses pembuatan diawali dengan pencucian dan pembersihan limbah ikan. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pengambilan minyak dengan cara di oven hingga ampas limbah ikan dan minyak ikan terpisah. Minyak ikan di uji kadar FFA awal untuk penentuan tahapan selanjutnya, yaitu esterifikasi atau langsung ke tahap transesterifikasi. Proses transesterifikasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan pelarut metanol dan katalis KOH. Hasil proses transesterifikasi didekantasi untuk pemisahan biodiesel dengan gliserol. Kemudian didistilasi agar biodiesel terpisah dari sisa-sisa pengotor dan dilakukan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan biodiesel berbahan baku ikan patin berhasil dilakukan dan senyawa metil ester menjadi komponen penyusun utama sampel biodesel yaitu senyawa 9-Octadecenoic acid (Z)-, methyl ester.

Abstract

Cane juice is the main raw material in sugar factories. The processing of cane juice to produce the highest quality sugar must be through the proper evaporation process. If the evaporation temperature is too high, the cane juice can be damaged and this will affect the quality of sugar produced. The type of evaporator that is often used to reduce water content in food is falling film evaporator. This study obtained to determine the effect of the flow rate of cane juiceon the temperature distribution at the interface and wall. This research was conducted using Matlab Software and the Runge-Kutta Method. The research variables used were the flow rate of 154, 243, and 301 l/hr and the air flow rate of 4, 8 and 10 m3/hr. The results showed that the smaller flow rate of the solution, the smaller temperature of the solution at the interface with the same position. The temperature distribution on the wall has increased at the beginning of evaporator operation, but then decreased due to evaporation.
