Abstract

Fenomena dakwah digital di era disrupsi teknologi menunjukkan kecenderungan reduksi menjadi sekadar content production yang berorientasi pada popularitas dan monetisasi, sehingga dimensi transformasi sosial-keagamaan kerap terabaikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjawab empat pertanyaan pokok: (1) mengapa dakwah digital terjebak dalam reduksi konten dan apa implikasinya terhadap transformasi sosial; (2) bagaimana tantangan epistemologis dan kultural dari ekosistem algoritmik seperti misinformasi, bias, dan radikalisasi memengaruhi praktik dakwah kontemporer; (3) metode dan pendekatan apa yang relevan untuk merumuskan strategi dakwah transformatif; serta (4) bagaimana integrasi nilai spiritual Islam, kesadaran budaya algoritmik, dan orientasi transformasi sosial dapat melahirkan model dakwah digital transformatif yang aplikatif dan berkeadilan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan critical discourse analysis dan digital ethnography. Data diperoleh melalui analisis konten dakwah digital di platform YouTube, TikTok, dan Instagram, serta wawancara mendalam dengan praktisi dakwah digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa logika algoritmik mendorong dakwah digital pada format singkat, emosional, dan sensasional, sehingga fungsi dakwah sebagai instrumen perubahan sosial melemah. Ekosistem algoritmik juga terbukti memperkuat polarisasi dan membuka ruang bagi narasi intoleran. Sebagai jawaban, penelitian ini menawarkan model konseptual Spirituality-Algorithmic Awareness-Social Change (SAS Model) yang menekankan integrasi nilai spiritual Islam, literasi algoritmik kritis, dan orientasi keadilan sosial. Kesimpulannya, dakwah digital harus bergerak melampaui reduksi konten menuju strategi transformatif yang adaptif terhadap budaya algoritmik dan berorientasi pada pembentukan ruang publik yang sehat, toleran, dan berkeadaban. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan studi dakwah digital, komunikasi keagamaan, dan teori transformasi sosial di era digital

Abstract

The development of digital da'wah demands a more in-depth, comprehensive, and data-driven methodological approach. However, contemporary da'wah research is still dominated by descriptive analysis that stops at mapping surface phenomena without exploring the underlying causal factors that determine the long-term effectiveness of da'wah. This weakness is increasingly apparent in the use of SWOT analysis, which has been widely applied in da'wah studies, but tends to be limited to producing categorization tables without an operational epistemic basis. Meanwhile, the era of digital da'wah presents a new, complex reality, where da'wah success is influenced not only by surface interactions such as the number of viewers, impressions, or follower growth, but also by latent factors such as audience cognitive motivation, platform algorithms, digital cultural context, identity construction, and societal value systems. This study aims to formulate a new methodological model through the integration of SWOT and the Iceberg approach to address this methodological stagnation. The research was conducted using qualitative methods based on literature analysis, comparative studies of strategic analysis models, and the construction of a conceptual model. The results show that the SWOT-Iceberg integration is able to produce a more multidimensional framework for digital da'wah analysis: SWOT diagnoses surface symptoms, while Iceberg explores patterns, causal structures, and mental models that shape phenomena. This combined model enables the development of more accurate, adaptive, and evidence-based da'wah strategies. It is concluded that the SWOT–Iceberg integration significantly contributes to the development of modern da'wah methodology by encouraging a shift from descriptive research to transformative diagnostic analysis, while simultaneously strengthening the scientific character of da'wah as an academic discipline based on a critical and measurable knowledge system.

Abstract

Islam was born in the midst of a society of ignorance, a time when a mother who gave birth to a baby girl would be buried alive, or if left alive, she would be subjected to ridicule, insults, and abuse. Islam came to eradicate intimidation and discrimination against women. Islam came with the principle that Allah created humans to serve Him without distinguishing between genders. At this level, Islam sides with women, but some conventional scholars' thoughts on women are still identified as considering “behavior” and “attitude of women” to be translated into “women's nature” which cannot be changed from its origin, namely “serving” men. Based on this background, the author uses critical reasoning to re-examine the theological aspects that legitimize male superiority. As a result, it is necessary to reconstruct the understanding of texts that contain gender bias. Islam lahir di tengah masyarakat jahiliyah, suatu masa ketika seorang ibu melahirkan bayi wanita akan dikuburkan hiduphidup, atau jika dibiarkan hidup ia akan menanggung cercaan, hinaan dan celaan. Islam datang untuk memberangus intimidasi dan diskriminasi perempuan. Islam datang dengan prinsip bahwa Allah menciptakan manusia untuk mengabdi kepada-Nya dengan tidak membeda-bedakan jenis kelamin. Pada taraf ini Islam berpihak kepada wanita, namun beberapa pemikiran ulama konvensional tentang wanita teridentifikasi masih menganggap "tingkah laku" dan "sikap wanita" diterjemahkan menjadi “kodrat wanita" yang tidak dapat diubah dari asalnya yaitu "mengabdi" kepada laki-laki. Berangkat dari latar belakang ini, penulis menggugah dengan nalar kritis untuk kembali menelusuri sisi teologis yang menjadi legitimasi terhadap superioritas laki-laki. Alhasil, perlu rekonstruksi terhadap pemahaman teks yang mengandung bias gender.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of algorithm-driven digital platforms has reshaped the epistemic landscape of Islamic da'wah. In this environment, the credibility of religious messages is no longer determined solely by scholarly authority, but increasingly by the logic of algorithmic visibility, audience engagement patterns, and the performative attributes of digital preachers. This study examines how da'wah credibility is constructed, negotiated, and contested within the algorithmic public sphere, and how digital literacy functions as a critical mediating factor for both preachers and audiences. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, digital observations, and documentation involving ten digital preachers, fifteen active social-media users, and two digital-literacy experts. The results indicate that algorithmic amplification favors emotional, sensational, and engagement-oriented religious content, often marginalizing substantive and scholarly-based da'wah. The study also reveals significant gaps in digital literacy among both preachers and audiences, contributing to the spread of religious misinformation and the emergence of popularity-based religious authority. This research contributes a novel integrative model that links credibility, algorithmic dynamics, and digital literacy within the digital da'wah ecosystem. The findings underscore the urgency of strengthening digital-literacy programs to maintain epistemic integrity, enhance critical consumption of religious content, and support responsible Islamic communication in an increasingly algorithm-governed public sphere.
