Abstract

The lack of variety in the use of learning methods causes the learning process in the classroom to tend to be monotonous and has an impact on the low active participation of students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of experimental methods in improving mastery of static fluid material. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with the subject of students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 57 Central Maluku, which amounted to 18 people, and was used as a single sample because there was only one class. Data collection instruments were carried out through tests (pretest and posttest), as well as non-test instruments in the form of Learner Worksheets. The results showed that before learning using the experimental method, all students were in the “Fail” category. After the learning process took place for three meetings, there was a significant increase in mastery of the material. The average achievement score of students is in the “Good” category. The N-Gain test results showed an average increase of 0.78 with a “High” qualification. This finding shows that the experimental method can significantly improve concept understanding and mastery of static fluid material. Therefore, the application of the experimental method is feasible to use as an innovative learning strategy in Physics subjects at the high school level.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) has the aim of implementing the development of a creative problem solving (CPS) learning model using...Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring(REACT) in science learning that is produced towards aspects of improving student achievement, support for the implementation of junior high school science teacher duties, especially in student-oriented learning design in combining theory and practice, implementing practicums and evaluating science learning outcomes in Southeast Maluku Regency. The expected benefits in this PKM are to motivate teachers to be creative in designing and preparing learning devices in the classroom and laboratory that are oriented towards students based on the environment, so that the learning process can take place properly. While for students, it can provide a clear understanding of the material presented by the teacher, so that students are able to find explanations and provide responses to what they are learning. In addition, students are trained to find out for themselves what they observe and try to describe the concept through student worksheets prepared with the help of the CPS learning model using REACT. Therefore, the CPS learning model using REACT in science learning that is designed is collaborated with several methods, namely reflective lectures, discovery, inquiry, demonstrations and questions and answers and recitations to express various concepts that are being studied in class and can be applied in everyday life

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) activities were carried out by providing training to teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah in Waitomu Hamlet-Negeri Hila. This activity aims to provide insight into the development of teacher professionalism, more specifically how deep the application of CRT in learning activities at school. This activity is expected to encourage teachers to improve their competence and motivation to become professional teachers. The activity was carried out in a structured and systematic manner in the form of providing in-depth material for teachers. The result of the community service is that subject teachers can develop learning tools based on local wisdom, namely CRT, which utilizes the surrounding environment as a learning resource. In addition, 100% of teachers like this activity, this is because there are many training activities both from the center and local governments, but CRT-based training activities are rarely delivered and are even new to teachers. The school hopes that lecturers can continue to provide assistance and training for teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah by sharing new things so that they can apply them in learning. By embracing CRT in learning, it can create an inclusive, interesting, and empowering learning experience that meets the various needs of all students and helps close the gap in learning

Abstract

Abstract

Students' errors in solving problems are caused by a lack of accuracy and calculation as well as the use of strategies in problem solving. So, to improve academic achievement, students need metacognitive skills so they can manage their cognition and find weaknesses so they can be corrected. This research aims to describe students' metacognitive skills in solving static fluid physics problems. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. Participants in this research were class XI science students at SMA Negeri 12 Ambon, a total of 26 students. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used are tests and non-tests in the form of essay test questions and the MAI metacognitive skills questionnaire. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that with a total of 26 students with metacognitive skills in planning and monitoring indicators in solving test questions, it can be seen that 21 students (80.8%) and 18 students (69.2%) have very good qualifications. Meanwhile, in the evaluation category, only 9 students (34.6%) qualified as very good. In this way, MAI can be used by teachers in solving students' physics problems. Therefore, students are expected to be more active and study hard, especially practicing solving physics problems with different problems in order to achieve good metacognitive skills

Abstract

The socialization of partnerships between teachers and parents in the implementation of deep learning is a strategic effort to build a collaborative educational environment centered on students’ needs. The main goal of this activity is to strengthen mutual understanding of the importance of synergy between teachers and parents in supporting a meaningful, reflective, and sustainable learning process. The socialization was carried out through discussions, counseling sessions, and the exchange of experiences and best practices between schools and parents. The results show that open communication and strong cooperation enhance support for character development, critical thinking skills, and students’ learning independence. Furthermore, this activity fosters a shared commitment to creating a positive learning atmosphere both at school and at home. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and parents in deep learning serves as a key element in improving the quality of education and can be used as a model for other schools, especially in areas with similar socio-cultural and geographical conditions.
