Abstract

Electronic Medical Records have been introduced to improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare services, as well as patient safety. This study aims to review the impact of the use of Electronic Medical Records on these aspects through a narrative review. The literature review was conducted using three databases, namely PubMed, MEDLINE, and CINAHL, with the addition of Google Scholar for wider coverage. The articles retrieved were limited to publications from January 2013 to October 2023. The implementation of Electronic Medical Records improves the efficiency of healthcare services by accelerating patient data access, reducing administrative costs, and strengthening coordination between healthcare workers. However, although the advantages of Electronic Medical Records are seen in increasing the accuracy and accessibility of medical information, there are risks to patient safety, such as data input errors and the threat of data leakage. Overall, Electronic Medical Records contribute positively to improving the quality of healthcare services, especially in chronic disease management, collaboration between medical professionals, and real-time monitoring of patient conditions, which have an impact on the continuity and effectiveness of care.

Abstract

Increasing citations and h-index are important indicators in assessing lecturer academic performance, which contributes to the reputation of higher education institutions. This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of lecturers and educational staff in optimizing strategies to increase citations and h-index through the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) platform. This activity was conducted in the form of a webinar using the Zoom Meeting application. The webinar included materials on scientific work promotion strategies, SINTA profile management, and academic metric enhancement techniques. Evaluation results showed an average increase in participant understanding of 37%. Participants also provided positive feedback on the relevance of the materials and the implementation methods. This activity had a direct impact on improving digital and academic literacy of lecturers, which has the potential to enhance the quality of scientific publications and institutional accreditation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerokok usia remaja dengan rentang usia 14-19 tahun, di Indonesia terus meningkat. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan mereka merokok di usia muda tersebut, salah satu alasan mereka merokok agar diterima dikalangan kelompoknya yaitu lingkungan sosialnya (keluarga, teman sebaya dan guru yang merokok). Permasalahan ini jelas menjadi topik yang sangat memerlukan perhatian mengingat remaja merupakan generasi penerus bangsa yang nantinya juga menjadi penerus untuk pembangunan negara ini. Tujuan : Menganalisis kondisi lingkungan sosial terhadap perilaku merokok remaja di Kecamatan Pangarengan Kabupaten Sampang. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian adalah explanatory research dengan rancangan belah lintang (cross sectional). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pelajar remaja yang berada di Kecamatan Pangarengan Kabupaten Sampang Madura yaitu sebanyak 1.610. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan Simple Random Sampling, maka diperoleh sampel penelitian sebesar 214. Analisis data menggunakan Chi Square. Hasil : Variabel lingkungan sosial yang mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap perilaku merokok adalah semua variabel yang ada yaitu lingkungan keluarga, teman sebaya, guru, idola, dan lingkungan budaya, karena mempunyai nilai P yang lebih kecil dari α= 0,05.

Abstract

Introduction: The report shows a decrease in stunting prevalence at the national level by 6.4% over 5 years.  The problem of stunting in the future directly affects prospective mothers. The aim of health education is to increase the knowledge of mothers of stunted infants and toddlers about environmental factors as the cause of stunting. Methods: The method of implementation in the health education program is through providing knowledge on stunting to mothers of stunted babies and toddlers in the Jumputrejo Village. The participants are mothers of infants and toddlers in Jumputrejo Village, totaling 18 people. The method for education to increase the knowledge of mothers of stunted infants and toddlers about personal hygiene, mothers of stunted infants and toddlers about environmental sanitation, and increase the knowledge of mothers of stunted infants and toddlers about environmental factors that cause stunting. Variables of this community services are knowledge before and after giving health education. Instrument of this study using questionnaire and data analysis using t test. Results: The knowledge increase before and after giving assistance, counseling, and health education about community-based total sanitation. The results of community service found that there was a difference between the knowledge pretest and post-test with a significance of 0.000. Conclusion: Knowledge about community-based total sanitation increased because they received proper education, awareness campaigns, and hands-on training on sanitation practices. Mothers of young children received health education, and afterward, community-led sanitation was covered through a question-and-answer format. Further evaluation can be done to measure the extent to which the increase in knowledge brings changes in the sanitation behavior of the local community and the prevention of stunting.

Abstract

Since 2022, primary healthcare facilities in Surabaya have adopted electronic medical records for patient admission services. However, an evaluation of the implementation of the program has never been conducted. Therefore, the objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of integrating electronic medical records in the admission department of basic healthcare institutions in Surabaya. The evaluation is performed utilizing the DeLone and McLean methodologies. The characteristics assessed in this study are system quality, information quality, service quality, usage, user happiness, and perceived net benefit.   The research was carried out using a descriptive approach and incidental sampling. The respondents of this study are nine admission officers from nine primary healthcare facilities in the city of Surabaya. The result of this study indicates that all variables are in good to excellent condition. The system quality is in excellent condition, with a rating of 55.56%. The information quality, use, and perceived net benefit are also excellent, with a rating of 66.67%. Meanwhile, service quality is at a satisfactory level of 66.67%, and user satisfaction is at a satisfactory level of 89%. The conclusion is that the implementation of electronic medical records has been highly successful, at 78%. It requires a step to implement to enhance the functionality of electronic medical records, including the incorporation of universal consent and the inclusion of patients' electronic signatures.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology that has spread to various sectors of life including health can result in the development of a computer-based medical record system. Computer-based medical records or better known as EMR (Electronic Medical Record) have been used in various hospitals in the world as a complement or replacement for paper-based health records so that they can facilitate the process of managing, accessing, and distributing data or information. Based on the results of brief interviews with health workers working in health centers, it turns out that medical records for obstetric cases are still hybrid. The purpose of this study was to implement the application of Electronic Medical Records using the Hot-Fit method in East Surabaya Health Centers Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive research using a questionnaire sheet as a research instrument. The results of the study obtained data that the application of Electronic Medical Records in East Surabaya Health Centers from system quality, information quality, service quality, system use, organizational structure, facility conditions, and net benefits were categorized as good while for user satisfaction it was suggested to be satisfied and support was suggested to be supportive. So it can be concluded that the application of EMR was given well. Suggestions for the Health Center are the need to improve the system and network, the need to complete the information in the EMR in detail, the need to provide training to health workers in the use of EMR, and the need for socialization by superiors regarding the policy on the use of EMR.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengambangan komunikasi efektif dalam pelayanan kesehatan adalah langkah progresif untuk meningktakan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan dan mengukuhkan hubungan yang lebih erat antara tenaga kesehatan dengan masyarakat. Melalui metode pelaksnaan yang terencana dengan inisiatif “Layanan Sepenuh Hati” berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan tenaga kesehatan akan pentingnya komunikasi efektif dalam pengelolaan kesehatan pribadi. Pelatihan intensif bagi tenaga kesehatan dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengambilan keputusan pelayanan kesehatan mencipatakan lingkungan yang responsif dan terhubung secara emosional. Hasil positif mencakup peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi tenaga kesehatan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan penerapan teknologi informasi untuk menyediakan informasi kesehatan yang mudah diakses. Pembahasan melibatkan identifikasi tantangan, strategi perbaikan dan peningkatan kesinambungan kegiatan ini. evaluasi berkala dan umpan balik menjadi instrumen penting untuk penyesuaian dan pengembangan lebih lajut. Menyoroti pentingnya kesinambungan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan kolaborasi lintas sektor, dalam menjadi keberlanjutan kegiatan ini, inovasi teknologi, penelitian lanjutan, dan keterlibatan pihak stakeholder merupakan elemen kunci bagi pertumbuhan dan adaptasi kegiatan ini. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini bukan hanya menciptakan perubahan positif dalam pelayanan kesehatan, tetapi juga menetapkan fondasi bagi model pelayanan kesehatan yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Lingkungan kerja yang tidak ergonomis dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah kesehatan bagi petugas rekam medis, seperti gangguan muskuloskeletal dan kelelahan fisik, yang pada gilirannya memengaruhi produktivitas kerja. Di Puskesmas Sukodono, unit rekam medis masih menghadapi kendala dalam penerapan ergonomi di tempat kerja. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan penerapan prinsip ergonomi oleh petugas rekam medis melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pemberian materi teoritis mengenai pentingnya ergonomi serta pelatihan praktis untuk mengajarkan pengaturan postur kerja, penggunaan peralatan yang benar, dan teknik peregangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan petugas sebesar 80% terkait ergonomi, serta 70% petugas berhasil menerapkan pengaturan postur kerja yang lebih baik. Evaluasi lanjutan menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta lebih sadar akan pentingnya ergonomi dan melaporkan peningkatan kenyamanan kerja. Meskipun demikian, penerapan berkelanjutan masih memerlukan dukungan fasilitas yang ergonomis. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan penerapan ergonomi, namun pengelolaan lingkungan kerja secara lebih sistematis perlu dilakukan untuk menjaga kesinambungan hasil yang dicapai.

Abstract

Proper implementation of electronic medical records (EMRs) is essential to increase health worker satisfaction, which in turn improves the quality of health services. However, the use of EMR can also cause dissatisfaction, in part due to limitations in sentence format when completing medical assessments in the EMR system. This study aims to explore the relationship between the use of EMR and the satisfaction of health workers in the emergency room of RSMM (Rumah Sakit Mata Masyarakat), East Java. With a quantitative analysis approach, this research used a cross-sectional design with 19 participants selected through a total sampling method. This research focuses on two main variables: officer satisfaction (free) and EMR use (bound). Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires, and statistical analysis was carried out using the Spearman test. Findings showed that 63.2% of respondents were satisfied, with 78.9% expressing confidence in the quality of EMR use. The Spearman test produced a significant p-value of 0.006 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between the use of RME at RSMM East Java. RSMM East Java is committed to continuing to increase personnel satisfaction by continuously improving the EMR system based on feedback.

Abstract

Statistik rumah sakit digunakan untuk mengolah informasi layanan medis di rumah sakit. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Grafik Barber Johnson untuk mengukur efisiensi manajemen tempat tidur. Menurut informasi yang dikumpulkan pada tahun 2022, terdapat jumlah pasien 22.260 dan 100 tempat tidur. Tujuan digunakannya indikator Barber Johnson untuk memastikan persentase dan efisiensi penggunaan tempat tidur dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan mutu layanan. Peneliti melaksanakan penelitian di Rumah Sakit Umum X Sidoarjo yang dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan metode kuantitatif dan teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu non probability sampling dengan jenis sampling jenuh. Populasi yang digunakan yaitu berupa data rekapitulasi tahunan rawat inap di RS Umum X Sidoarjo tahun 2022. Hasil perhitungan BOR Rumah Sakit Umum X Sidoarjo tahun 2022 menunjukkan angka 44,35%, LOS 2,65 hari, TOI 3,33 hari, dan BTO 61,05 kali. Dari perhitungan indikator Barber Johnson LOS dan TOI ditemukan titik yang di luar daerah efektif pada Grafik Barber Johnson, yang mengartikan bahwa manajemen tempat tidur masih belum efektif pada tahun 2022 karena angka BOR yang masih rendah yaitu 44,35%. Pengaruh tidak idealnya nilai BOR salah satunya karena infrastruktur dan fasilitas yang tidak memadai.
