Abstract

Latar Belakang: Adiksi terhadap media sosial memunculkan berbagai dampak salah satunya ketidakwaspadaan pada informasi yang diperoleh. Hal itu disebabkan tidak semua informasi yang dibagikan berasal dari sumber yang kredibel. Tujuan: Untuk itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan mengedukasi generasi muda di SMK PGRI 03 Salatiga untuk cerdas dalam bermedia sosial melalui penguasaan keterampilan memirsa. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan empat metode mencakup studi kasus, tanya jawab interaktif, latihan terbimbing, dan latihan mandiri. Hasil: Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukan bahwa peserta memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan memirsa dalam aktivitas bermedia sosial. Melalui penguasaan keterampilan memirsa peserta mampu mengenali informasi yang diperoleh melalui media sosial. Hasil lain yang diperoleh ialah peserta lebih bijak dalam merespons informasi. Hal itu tampak pada respons atas postingan, peserta memberikan komentar dengan bahasa yang baik dan santun. Kesimpulan: Simpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Melalui penguasaan keterampilan memirsa peserta mampu mengenali informasi yang diperoleh melalui media sosial.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Edukasi tentang etika berbahasa di media sosial bukan hanya penting, tetapi juga mendesak untuk diberikan kepada generasi muda. Hal tersebut disebabkan mayoritas generasi muda merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial. Tujuan: Membentuk generasi muda sebagai generasi digital dapat mengembangkan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang penggunaan bahasa di media sosial dengan baik, juga memaksimalkan potensi positif dari media sosial. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan strategi kronologis mencakup studi kasus, latihan terbimbing, latihan mandiri, dan pemberian materi yang relevan. Hasil: Berdasarkan kegiatan latihan mandiri, peserta sudah menerapkan etika berbahasa khususnya dalam konteks mengirimkan pesan melalui platform Whatsapp. Sebesar 100% peserta sudah mengirimkan pesan dengan bahasa yang sesuai dengan konteks. Yang artinya peserta telah menunjukan secara konkret penggunaan bahasa yang baik.  Kesimpulan: Pelatihan implementasi etika berbahasa dalam konteks komunikasi media sosial perlu dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya memberikan analisis komprehensif terhadap kesalahan ejaan yang terdapat pada skripsi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Semarang pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan berbasis korpus digital. Linguistik korpus digunakan sebagai metodologi pengumpulan dan analisis data untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan ejaan pada skripsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Semarang tahun akademik 2022/2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode campuran, yang mencakup data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik campuran sekuensial eksplanatori. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkap adanya kesalahan ejaan pada skripsi mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas PGRI Semarang tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang teridentifikasi melalui penggunaan aplikasi korpus digital. Teks tersebut mengandung total 2.646 kesalahan ejaan, yang dapat dipecah menjadi 62 kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital, 1.543 kesalahan kata depan, 6 kesalahan kombinasi kata, 310 kesalahan penulisan partikel, 446 kesalahan penulisan kata dasar, 93 kesalahan penulisan imbuhan, dan 186 kesalahan penulisan tanda baca.. Namun, tidak ditemukan kesalahan dalam penulisan unsur serapan karena keterbatasan pada korpus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi korpus digital dapat berfungsi sebagai pilihan yang tepat untuk menganalisis kesalahan ejaan dalam kumpulan data yang luas, sehingga menawarkan temuan baru di lapangan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemberitaan kasus “Polwan Bakar Suami hingga Tewas” pada laman media massa Detik.com berdasarkan teori analisis wacana kritis Theo Van Leeuwen dan berbasis korpus. Metode campuran digunakan dalam penelitian, di mana data dikumpulkan dari laman media massa Detik.com terkait kasus tersebut menggunakan teknik web scraping dengan aplikasi Octoparse. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan aplikasi Antconc untuk mengidentifikasi penghitungan kata, frekuensi, konkordansi, kolokasi dan kombinasi kata (n-gram). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya bias institusional dengan menyoroti aspek jabatan dan profesi perlaku maupun korban sebagai bagian dari anggota kepolisian. Media menampilkan institusi kepolisian dalam framing positif terlihat dari penekanan pada peran aktif kepolisian dalam menangani kasus. Selain itu, diksi yang digunakan dalam pemberitaan cenderung bersifat sensasional, dengan pemilihan kata yang memperkuat kesan bahwa pelaku melakukan tindakan kriminal yang keji dan tidak berperikemanusiaan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media memiliki peran signifikan dalam membentuk wacana publik, dan penggunaan Analisis Wacana Kritis berbasis korpus dapat mengungkap lapisan makna yang lebih dalam pada suatu berita.

Abstract

Phonological errors are one of the main challenges in learning Indonesian as a Foreign Language (BIPA). This study aims to describe the phonological errors made by BIPA learners during the Handai Indonesia Festival on the BIPA Kemdikbud YouTube channel. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques, then analyzed based on the identified phonological error patterns. The results indicate that out of 144 phonological error data points, phoneme substitution was the most dominant type of error (95 occurrences), followed by phoneme addition (25 occurrences) and phoneme omission (24 occurrences). These errors were primarily caused by first-language interference, with learners from Egypt and China exhibiting significantly higher error rates compared to learners from other countries. The implications of this study highlight the need for more adaptive phonology teaching methods in BIPA programs. Currently, phonological aspects receive less attention compared to grammar and vocabulary. Further research is recommended to explore the effectiveness of these strategies in reducing phonological errors and improving BIPA learners' speech intelligibility.

Abstract

Political speeches play a strategic role in conveying ideological messages and constructing meaning that influences public opinion. In the Indonesian political context, the presidential inauguration speech is a crucial moment that not only reflects the leadership vision but also serves as a means to construct a national narrative, strengthen leadership legitimacy, and symbolically convey the government's agenda. This study aims to describe the use of lexical features in President Prabowo Subianto's 2024 inauguration speech. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with distributional analysis techniques to identify and examine the lexical elements that shape meaning and ideology in the speech text. The focus of the study includes classification patterns, ideological vocabulary, lexicalization, meaning relations, euphemistic expressions, and the use of metaphors. The results of the study indicate that the speech represents a strong ideological construction, marked by the dominance of national narratives, calls for unity, and the affirmation of the people's role as the main axis of power. The choice of diction in the speech reflects a political communication strategy that is not only persuasive, but also ideological, thus playing a significant role in shaping public perception of national leadership figures. These findings confirm that lexical features in political speeches function more than just rhetorical tools for President Prabowo Subianto, but also serve as effective ideological instruments in directing discourse and shaping public opinion. This research demonstrates that the language of inaugural speeches needs to be understood not only from a surface semantic perspective but also from an ideological perspective, as it reflects specific interests and plays a crucial role in hegemonic processes. This research contributes to critical discourse studies in the Indonesian political context, particularly in understanding how power is mediated through language. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for further research on linguistic strategies in political communication.

Abstract

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often experience significant barriers in social interaction and verbal communication. This community service program aimed to explore the effectiveness of adaptive storytelling as a communication medium for children with ASD at TK Tunas Bhakti. The program engaged three children aged 6–7 years through four storytelling sessions using varied media, including real fruits, animated videos, and hand puppets. Activities were designed based on each child’s special interests and emotional readiness, emphasizing narrative participation and expression. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation before and after the sessions. The results showed a marked improvement across multiple indicators: the frequency of initiating speech increased from rare (0–1 times/week) to daily occurrences; responses became more relevant and timely; and story recall shifted from fragmented to sequential and detailed. Children demonstrated greater enthusiasm, expressive intonation, and peer engagement, indicating improved confidence and social interaction. The adaptive nature of the storytelling—tailored to sensory and emotional needs—significantly enhanced communicative effectiveness. The approach not only supported language development but also fostered empathy and emotional connection. This study highlights the potential of adaptive storytelling as both an educational and psychosocial intervention strategy in inclusive early childhood education. Future implementations are encouraged to involve larger participant groups and longer intervention periods to broaden impact.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Di lingkungan sekolah, kemampuan presentasi masih sering dipandang sebagai keterampilan tambahan yang kurang mendapat perhatian. Idealnya, setelah memaparkan ide, peserta didik seharusnya menerima umpan balik tidak hanya mengenai isi, yang selama ini menjadi tolok ukur utama kualitas presentasi, tetapi juga tentang cara penyampaiannya. Tujuan: Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan presentasi peserta didik secara menyeluruh melalui pelatihan yang mengintegrasikan kemampuan berbicara di depan umum, penggunaan teknologi digital, dan media interaktif  yang menarik dan adaptif. Metode: Metode yang diterapkan dalam pengabdian ini, yaitu: diskusi berbasis kasus, tanya jawab interaktif, latihan terbimbing, dan latihan mandiri. Hasil: Peserta menguasai teknik presentasi yang menarik dan interaktif dengan indikator rerata skor 86 yang difokuskan pada lima aspek penilaian yaitu penggunaan bahasa, kejelasan penyampaian, komunikatif, kesesuaian materi, dan ketepatan waktu. Kesimpulan: Melalui rangkaian kegiatan yang terstruktur, peserta tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman yang bersifat teoritis, tetapi juga kemampuan praktis dalam berpresentasi.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the inclusion and exclusion of social actors in online gambling news coverage on Kompas.com using a critical discourse analysis approach assisted by corpora. By utilizing this approach, the language patterns used in the coverage are systematically analyzed to explore how the issue of online gambling is framed by the media. The findings reveal that the coverage predominantly features the government, such as "Budi Arie", in a positive role as an active actor in the fight against online gambling (inclusion). The government is portrayed as the key and dominant force in addressing this issue. In contrast, the online gambling perpetrators and victims are more frequently ignored or concealed (exclusion). The perpetrators are depicted as destructive agents responsible for the issue, while victims are often portrayed as suffering individuals who require external intervention. The language use that emphasizes the government's role highlights efforts to reinforce their legitimacy in addressing this social problem. Thus, the analysis shows that Kompas.com's news coverage tends to present a discourse that supports the government's role in tackling online gambling, while minimizing the representation of perpetrators and victims.
