Abstract

This research is motivated by students' low understanding of the concept of fractions, which is abstract and difficult to visualize, especially in the material of multiplication and division of fractions. This research aims to develop an innovative learning media called PECAH Media (Pecahan Edukatif Cerdas Acrylic Harian) to help students understand the concept of fractions concretely. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the feasibility test showed that the media was classified as very feasible with a feasibility score of 94.1%, then the practicality test showed that the media was classified as very practical with a practicality score of 100% from teachers and 88.96% from students. From the effectiveness aspect, this media was able to improve student learning outcomes significantly, with an N-Gain value of 0.96 (high category) and an effectiveness of 96.77% with an effective category. These findings indicate that PECAH Media is a feasible, practical, and effective learning media in improving students' understanding of the operation of multiplication and division of fractions. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep pecahan yang bersifat abstrak dan sulit divisualisasikan, khususnya pada materi perkalian dan pembagian pecahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran inovatif bernama Media PECAH (Pecahan Edukatif Cerdas Akrilik Harian) guna membantu siswa memahami konsep pecahan secara konkret. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Hasil uji kelayakan menunjukan bahwa media tergolong sangat layak dengan skor kelayakan 94,1%, kemudian uji kepraktisan menunjukkan bahwa media tergolong sangat praktis dengan skor kepraktisan 100% dari guru dan 88,96% dari siswa. Dari aspek efektivitas, media ini mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,96 (kategori tinggi) dan efektivitas sebesar 96,77% dengan kategori efektif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Media PECAH merupakan media pembelajaran yang layak, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada pengoprasian materi perkalian dan pembagian pecahan.

Abstract

The problem in this research is whether the Problem-Based Learning model can improve the ability to write compound sentences in Grade IV of SDN No. 94 Kota Utara, Gorontalo City. This study aims to improve the ability to write compound sentences through the Problem-Based Learning model in Grade IV of SDN No. 94 Kota Utara, Gorontalo City. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection techniques used in this research include written tests, observation, and documentation. Initial observation results showed that out of 15 students, only 1 student (7%) was categorized as proficient, 4 students (27%) as less proficient, and 10 students (67%) as not yet proficient. In Cycle I, Meeting 1, improvement occurred with 2 students (13%) categorized as proficient, 5 students (33%) as less proficient, and 8 students (53%) still not proficient. More significant progress was seen in Cycle I, Meeting 2, with 10 students (67%) categorized as proficient, 3 students (20%) as less proficient, and only 2 students (13%) still not proficient. In Cycle II, the final results showed that 13 students (87%) were categorized as proficient, 2 students (13%) as less proficient, and no students remained in the not proficient category. ABSTRAKMasalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning kemampuan menulis Kalimat Majemuk Di Kelas IV SDN No. 94 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo dapat meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis Kalimat Majemuk melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Di Kelas IV SDN No. 94 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi tes tertulis, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa dari 15 siswa, hanya 1 siswa (7%) tergolong mampu, 4 siswa (27%) kurang mampu, dan 10 siswa (67%) belum mampu. Pada siklus I pertemuan 1, peningkatan terjadi dengan 2 siswa (13%) tergolong mampu, 5 siswa (33%) kurang mampu, dan 8 siswa (53%) masih tidak mampu. Kemajuan terlihat lebih signifikan pada siklus I pertemuan 2, dengan 10 siswa (67%) tergolong mampu, 3 siswa (20%) kurang mampu, dan hanya 2 siswa (13%) masih belum mampu. Pada siklus II, hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa 13 siswa (87%) sudah tergolong mampu, 2 siswa (13%) kurang mampu, dan tidak ada lagi siswa yang tergolong tidak mampu.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to write procedural texts through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model among second-grade students at SDN 99 Kota Utara, Gorontalo City. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected using observation, writing tests, and documentation techniques. Initial observations showed that only 4 out of 20 students (20%) demonstrated the ability to write procedural texts effectively. In the first meeting of Cycle I, 6 students (30%) met the success criteria, which increased to 12 students (60%) in the second meeting. However, this result had not yet reached the predetermined success indicator, which required 75% of students to score at least 75. Therefore, the research continued to Cycle II. In the first meeting of this cycle, 17 students (85%) successfully met the indicator, while the remaining 3 students received additional guidance based on their individual challenges. The findings indicate that the PjBL model is effective in enhancing procedural text writing skills among second-grade elementary students. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada siswa kelas II SDN 99 Kota Utara, Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, tes menulis, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, dari 20 siswa hanya 4 siswa (20%) yang menunjukkan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur dengan baik. Pada siklus I pertemuan pertama, jumlah siswa yang mencapai indikator keberhasilan meningkat menjadi 6 orang (30%), dan pada pertemuan kedua meningkat lagi menjadi 12 siswa (60%). Namun, capaian tersebut belum memenuhi indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan, yaitu 75% siswa memperoleh nilai minimal 75. Oleh karena itu, dilanjutkan ke siklus II, dan pada pertemuan pertama siklus tersebut, sebanyak 17 siswa (85%) telah mencapai kriteria keberhasilan. Sementara itu, 3 siswa yang belum mencapai indikator diberikan bimbingan lanjutan sesuai permasalahan yang dihadapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas II.

Abstract

The problem identified at SDN 16 Pulubala is the lack of teacher creativity inutilizing spatial geometry learning media, which leads to a lack of interest and motivation among students in learning mathematics. Therefore, the development of spatial geometry learning media is expected to help students comprehending the material on the spatial geometry. This research is a Research and Development (R&D). The objectives of this research and development are to develop adobe flash-based spatial geometry learning media and to assess its feasibility based on expert evaluations of content, media, and feedback from teachers and students. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data analysis techniques employed in this research are descriptive and qualitative. The results of the development of Adobe Flash-based spatial geometry learning media indicate that the feasibility aspects have achieved a very feasible category, with an average rating of 87,5% from content experts and 95%from media experts, making it suitable for trial. Furthermore, based on teacher feedback, the Adobe Flash-based spatial geometry learning media received 92,85% in the very feasible category, while student responses averaged 92,60%, also in the very high category. The media evaluation achieved an 87,42% score in the very high category. Thus, the overall score recapitulation is 91,074%. Therefore, the developed Adobe Flash-based spatial geometry learning media is highly suitable for use in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The research question addressed in this research was: Can beginning reading skills in first-grade students of SDN 2 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency, be improved through the use of flipbook media? This research aims to improve beginning reading skills using flipbook media for the first-grade students at SDN 2 Telaga. This research was classroom action research. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Initial observation revealed that out of 19 students, 15 students (79%) demonstrated poor beginning reading skills. Improvement was observed over the implementation of classroom actions through two meetings in Cycle I and two meetings in Cycle II. In the first meeting of Cycle I, only 6 out of 19 students (32%) showed improvement in beginning reading. In the second meeting of Cycle I, this number increased to 10 students (53%). In the first meeting of Cycle II, 13 students (68%) showed improvement, and by the second meeting of Cycle II, 16 students (84%) had achieved good and accurate beginning reading skills. The findings indicate that the use of flipbook media significantly enhances beginning reading abilities in first-grade students at SDN 2 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I SDN 2 Telaga, Kabupaten Gorontalo, melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran flipbook. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes hasil belajar, observasi aktivitas siswa, dan dokumentasi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Berdasarkan observasi awal, diketahui bahwa dari 19 siswa, hanya 4 siswa (21%) yang menunjukkan kemampuan membaca awal, sementara 15 siswa (79%) belum menguasai keterampilan tersebut. Pelaksanaan tindakan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada siklus I pertemuan pertama, jumlah siswa yang mampu membaca meningkat menjadi 6 orang (32%). Pada pertemuan kedua siklus I, meningkat lagi menjadi 10 siswa (53%). Selanjutnya, pada siklus II pertemuan pertama terdapat 13 siswa (68%) yang mampu membaca dengan baik, dan pada pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 16 siswa (84%). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media flipbook efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an E-Comic learning media for Lahilote Folklore that meets the criteria for eligibility and effectiveness in supporting Local Content learning, especially in regional folklore material for fourth grade students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model, which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The feasibility test was carried out through validation by experts. The results of the media validation showed a score of 28, which is included in the "Very Good" category, with a percentage value of 100%. Meanwhile, the material validation obtained a score of 32, which is included in the "Very Good" category with a percentage value of 100%. The practicality of the media was tested using a practitioner validation sheet, which produced a perfect score, which was 44 out of a maximum total score of 44 so that the average percentage of practicality reached 100%, indicating that this media is feasible to use. The average value of all validations reached 100%, indicating that this media is feasible to use in the learning process by elementary school teachers and students. The effectiveness of the media was tested through the results of the student response test in grade IV of SDN No. 76 Kota Tengah. Which gets a percentage of 100% with the category (Very Good) from student responses. Thus, the E-Comic of Lahilote Folk Tales is declared worthy of being distributed.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 7 Talaga Jaya, especially in the material of flat shapes. Data from initial observations showed a very low level of learning completion, where only 38% of students were able to achieve the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 75. Departing from this problem, this study focuses on testing the effectiveness of web-based learning media. The main objective is to find out whether the application of learning media using Google Sites can be a solution to significantly improve student learning outcomes on the material. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is carried out in two cycles. Important stages in this study include planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The subjects of the study were fourth grade students, and data were collected through learning outcome test techniques, observation of the learning process, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in learning outcomes gradually. In cycle I, the percentage of students who achieved learning completion increased to 48%. After the action improvements were made in cycle II, there was a very good spike, where the percentage of student learning completion reached 89%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of Google Sites web-based learning media has proven to be effective and successful in improving student learning outcomes in flat geometry material. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN 7 Talaga Jaya, khususnya pada materi bangun datar. Data pada observasi awal menunjukkan tingkat ketuntasan belajar yang sangat rendah, di mana hanya 38% siswa yang mampu mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yaitu 75. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini berfokus untuk menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis web. Adapun tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan media pembelajaran menggunakan Google Sites dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi tersebut secara signifikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tahapan penting dalam penelitian ini meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi pada setiap siklusnya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV, dan data dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes hasil belajar, observasi proses pembelajaran, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan secara bertahap. Pada siklus I, persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 48%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan tindakan pada siklus II, terjadi lonjakan yang sangat baik, di mana persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa berhasil mencapai 89%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis web Google Sites terbukti efektif dan berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi bangun datar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media called Fracmix Board to improve learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 9 Telaga Biru in the topic of mixed fractions. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results showed that the Fracmix Board was highly feasible based on expert validation, with average scores of 94.7%, indicating it is highly appropriate for use. It was also found to be highly practical according to teacher and student assessments, with an average score of 95.1%. In terms of effectiveness, the N-Gain analysis yielded a score of 0.72, categorized as "high." The effectiveness of the Fracmix Board was measured using pretest and posttest assessments. The average pretest score was 57.6%, while the posttest score increased to 88.4%. The N-Gain score of 0.72 indicates a significant improvement in students' understanding, with a learning gain of 30.8%. This demonstrates that the Fracmix Board is effective in enhancing students’ comprehension of addition and subtraction of mixed fractions with like denominators. Through a visual and manipulative approach, the Fracmix Board helps students concretely visualize fraction concepts. This media is recommended for use in mathematics instruction at the elementary school level. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif yang disebut Fracmix Board untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN 9 Telaga Biru pada materi pecahan campuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Fracmix Board dinilai sangat layak berdasarkan validasi oleh para ahli media dan ahli materi dengan hasil rekapitulasi nilai rata-rata 94,7% dan dinyatakan sangat layak di gunakan. Dan sangat praktis berdasarkan hasil penilaian guru dan siswa dengan hasil rekapitulasi nilai rata-rata 95,1%, serta efektif berdasarkan analisis N-Gain dengan skor 0,72 (kategori tinggi). Dalam keefektifan media pembelajaran Fracmix Board didapat dari guru membagikan soal pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur keefektifan media.  Total nilai pretest adalah 57,6%, sedangkan total nilai posttest mencapai 88,4%. Perhitungan N-Gain menunjukan nilai sebesar 0,72 yang termasuk dalam ketegori “Tinggi”. Peningkatan hasil belajar dihitung pada peningkatan yang didapat melalui nilai pre-test dan post-test dengan nilai sebesar 30,8%. Dengan hasil rekapitulasi ini maka Fracmix Board terbukti efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan campuran dengan penyebut yang sama. Melalui pendekatan visual dan manipulatif, Fracmix Board membantu siswa memvisualisasikan konsep pecahan secara konkret. Media ini direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of third-grade students at SDN No. 59 Kota Timur, Gorontalo City, in writing cursive letters by using word card media. The research employed a classroom action research method. The results showed that in the first cycle, first meeting, only 2 out of 15 students (13%) were able to write cursive letters, while 13 students (87%) were unable. In the first cycle, second meeting, there was an improvement with 6 students (40%) achieving the skill, and 9 students (60%) still unable. Since the target of at least 75% mastery was not achieved, the study continued to the second cycle. In the second cycle, first meeting, 10 students (67%) were able to write cursive letters, while 5 students (33%) were not. In the second cycle, second meeting, a significant improvement was observed with 13 students (87%) able to write cursive letters and only 2 students (13%) unable. The findings indicate that the use of word card media effectively enhances the ability of third-grade students at SDN No. 59 Kota Timur Gorontalo City. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I pertemuan pertama, hanya 2 dari 15 siswa (13%) yang mampu menulis huruf tegak bersambung, sementara 13 siswa (87%) belum mampu. Pada siklus I pertemuan kedua, terdapat peningkatan dimana 6 siswa (40%) mampu menulis dengan baik dan 9 siswa (60%) masih belum mencapai kemampuan tersebut. Karena hasil ini belum memenuhi target minimal 75%, penelitian dilanjutkan ke siklus II. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama, 10 siswa (67%) sudah mampu menulis huruf tegak bersambung dan 5 siswa (33%) belum. Pada siklus II pertemuan kedua, peningkatan signifikan terjadi dengan 13 siswa (87%) yang berhasil menulis huruf tegak bersambung dan hanya 2 siswa (13%) yang belum mampu. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu kata efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis huruf tegak bersambung siswa kelas III SDN No. 59 Kota Timur Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada upaya peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Concept Sentence yang relevan dengan karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini agar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek melalui model pembelajaran concept sentence pada siswa kelas IV SDN 25 Kota Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, Dokumentasi dan Tes. Objek penetilian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN No. 25 Kota Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal diketahui dari 10 siswa 2 atau 20% siswa mampu menulis cerita pendek, sedangkan 8 atau 80% siswa belum mampu menulis cerita pendek belum memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan 4 atau 40 % siswa mampu menulis cerita pendek sedangkan 6 atau 60% belum mampu menulis cerita pendek, Selanjutnya pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan menjadi 9 siswa atau 90% yang mampu menulis cerita pendek telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan dan 1 atau 10% siswa belum mampu menulis cerita pendek. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran concept sentence dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek pada siswa kelas IV SDN No. 25 Kota Selatan Kota Gorontalo.
