Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan minat membaca dengan prestasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri se-Desa Pangauban Kecamatan Katapang Kabupaten Bandung yaitu di SDN Cilampeni 1, SDN Cilampeni 2, SDN Cilampeni 3, SDN Katapang, SDN Babakan Sondari 1, dan SDN Babakan Sondari 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan penelitian korelasional. Jumlah populasi yaitu 355 siswa, teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dan didapatkan 235 dengan responden yang dijadikan sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji statistik deskriptif dan uji korelasi product moment untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel minat membaca dengan variabel prestasi belajar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebasar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 berarti terdapat hubungan positif antara minat membaca dengan prestasi belajar siswa. Diperoleh nilai korelasi sebasar 0,447 termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 20%, berarti minat membaca memberikan kontribusi sebesar 20% terhadap prestasi belajar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup yang positif antara minat membaca dan prestasi belajar dan variabel minat membaca memberikan kontribusi sebesar 20% terhadap prestasi belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts in grade III elementary school students through the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by the PhET application and conventional learning models. The method used is a quasi-experimental design and a nonequivalent control group design. Participants in this research were 63 grade III elementary school students. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this research are tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. The instrument used consists of a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of a description and is stated to have met the requirements for content validity, construct validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and differentiation. The data analysis technique for hypothesis testing uses IBM SPSS Statistics 2.6 software, namely the normalized n-gain hypothesis test. Based on the research results, students' ability to understand mathematical concepts at SDN Pancasila Lembang experienced a significant increase after receiving learning using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by the PhET application. This is proven by the results of the n-gain data test calculation, which is 0.36 in the medium category. The average posttest score obtained for the experimental class was 67.78 and the average posttest score obtained for the control class was 30.32. This means that the increase in understanding of mathematical concepts in the experimental class is higher compared to the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by the PhET application is recommended as an alternative learning model for improving students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to see the improvement of high school students' mathematical concept understanding through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of Quizizz. The method used is quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were grade X students in one of the high schools in Bandung Regency consisting of two classes, namely class X-H as the control class and class X-I as the experimental class, each totaling 36 students. The research instrument was a description test of mathematical concept understanding. The results showed that the improvement in the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students who used the PBL model with the help of Quizizz was higher than students who used the PBL model.

Abstract

This research aims to find learning obstacles students experienced during natural number multiplication lessons in third-grade elementary school. Learning obstacles were obtained from the Respondent Ability Test (RAT) analysis on students who had studied the lessons on multiplication of natural numbers. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects were respondents who participated in RAT, namely 22 third-grade elementary school students in Bandung, Indonesia. Data collection techniques use tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion. Learning obstacles found in natural number multiplication lessons are categorized into three types, namely ontogenic, epistemological, and didactical obstacles. Ontogenic obstacles occur when there is a gap in the students' thinking when analyzing concrete to abstract concepts. Epistemological obstacles may occur if students need help to apply the concepts they have learned in the context of story problems. Didactical obstacles happen when the learning carried out by teachers is only procedural, so students only memorize each multiplication result. Therefore, it is essential to analyze these learning obstacles and find the causes as a reference in finding solutions to design future learning tools that prevent these learning obstacles from happening.

Abstract

Background: Kampung seni dan budaya Jelekong di Kabupaten Bandung dikenal dengan kekayaan seni seperti wayang golek, seni lukis, tari, dan pencak silat. Masyarakat setempat yang mayoritas pengrajin lukisan dan wayang menghadapi tantangan dalam mempromosikan hasil karyanya di era digital. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan website dan media sosial untuk memperkenalkan seni dan budaya Jelekong secara lebih luas. Metode: Mitra kegiatan adalah Karang Taruna Kelurahan Jelekong dengan 20 peserta. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, presentasi, diskusi dan tanya jawab, praktik langsung di lapangan dan pendampingan. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest yang terdiri dari 30 soal pilihan ganda mengenai website dan media sosial yang disajikan pada google form. Hasil: peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengelola website dan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi seni budaya. Peningkatan kemampuan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil pretes dan postes. Rata-rata pretes yaitu 30 dan rata-rata postes yaitu 82, peningkatan (n-gain) yaitu 0,75 termasuk dalam peningkatan kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan digital masyarakat Jelekong dalam mempromosikan seni dan budaya lokal secara efektif dengan menggunakan website dan media sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audiovisual media and those using the conventional teaching model. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, using a nonequivalent control group design, involving one experimental class and one control class. Data were collected through tests, consisting of pretest and posttest, as well as non-test methods including observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques were performed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results of the hypothesis test on pretest data showed no significant difference in the average critical thinking skills between students in the experimental class using PBL assisted by audiovisual media and those in the control class using the conventional model, with pretest mean scores of 56.61 and 55.18, respectively. However, the hypothesis test results on posttest data showed a significant difference, with the posttest mean score of the experimental class reaching 78.39, higher than the control class's posttest mean score of 70.00. Thus, the use of the PBL model assisted by audiovisual media has been proven to have a positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) pada program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar pada Tahun Akademik 2021-2022 telah berjalan dengan beberapa program utama yaitu Kampus Mengajar, Pertukaran Mahasiswa, serta Magang Independen. Kegiatan ini adalah bentuk implementasi dari Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka yang didasari oleh Permendikbud Nomor 3 Tahun 2020 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi. Urgensi penelitian ini merupakan usaha perbaikan secara progresif menuju peningkatan mutu pelaksanaan program yang dilakukan secara sistematis dan berkelanjutan. Metode Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan deskriptif analitis yang digunakan adalah survei angket kepada mahasiswa yang dilakukan untuk mengukur pemahaman mengenai program MBKM yang telah berjalan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah sebanyak 231 mahasiswa atau sekitar 53% mahasiswa menyiapkan diri dengan cara mempelajari panduan MBKM dan kurikulum yang memfasilitasi MBKM, sebanyak 117 mahasiswa atau sekitar 27% mahasiswa menyiapkan diri dengan mengikuti seleksi kegiatan dan menyiapkan syarat-syarat yang dibutuhkan, dan sebanyak 86 mahasiswa atau sekitar 20% mahasiswa menyiapkan diri dengan cara Proaktif dalam mempersiapkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang sesuai. Kegiatan MBKM sangat bermanfaat untuk mahasiswa dalam pengembangan kompentensi/keterampilan sebagai bekal bekerja setelah lulus.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the STEM approach on energy material for 4th-grade elementary/middle school students in order to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The STEM approach was chosen because it is considered effective in integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to enhance 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The method used is qualitative research with a Research and Development (RnD) approach, adapting the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. The development process was carried out through learning needs analysis, the design of LKPD, and validation by experts in content, media, language, and STEM. The research results show that the developed LKPD has valid quality and can be applied in learning to enhance students' understanding of energy material with a contextual and interactive approach.

Abstract

Junior high school students often have difficulties in understanding linear equations in one variable (LEOV). Therefore, this research aimed to enhance junior high school students' understanding of LEOV by developing and implementing effective learning activities. The research was conducted as design research in three stages: preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The participants of the research were 50 seventh-grade students from two junior high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The data collected from observations, interviews, and student worksheets were analyzed using triangulation to ensure the validity and reliability of the research. The research explored how the teacher explained LEOV in four meetings and how they contributed to students’ understanding, where the first meeting dealt with open sentences, closed sentences, and the definition of LEOV from the context of distance and displacement, the second focused on solving LEOV from the context of two passing trains, and third focused on fractional LEOV from the context of jogging, and the fourth provided the students an opportunity to apply the LEOV concept from a dynamo-powered toy car simulation. The implication of the research is that teachers can significantly improve students' understanding of LEOV by implementing effective learning activities as identified here.

Abstract

This research aims to develop STEM-based teaching materials for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fourth-grade elementary school students. This development is carried out to meet the needs of 21st-century education. This research method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model stages. This research uses qualitative and quantitative data. This research was conducted in the 4th grade of MI Baiturrahim. The data collection technique in this study used interviews with the 4th grade teacher, expert validation questionnaires including material, media, language, and STEM expert, as well as student response questionnaires after using STEM based teaching materials. The results of the validation test on the content feasibility aspect received a score of 87%, the graphic of 82%, the presentation of 79%, the language of 94%, and the STEM pf 100% and 97%. all validation test results from the 5 validators fall within the criteria of feasible. The score of all student responses after using STEM based teaching materials on a limited and broad scale received a score of 95% with very good criteria.
