Abstract

This research examines the importance of strengthening character education based on Pancasila values in addressing the challenges of diversity in Indonesia. The focus is on integrating tolerance and global diversity values into the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile, which aims to enable students to live harmoniously in a multicultural society. Using a case study in Sukowono Village, known as Pancasila Village, this research identified best practices in tolerance-based character education, such as interfaith cooperation and joint celebrations of religious holidays. This qualitative research approach involved participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis to explore how Pancasila values, especially tolerance, were implemented in community life and formal education. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The study proposes an effective project-based learning model to internalize tolerance values in education. This model included stages such as introducing the concept of tolerance, field visits to places of worship, interfaith collaborative projects, and experience reflection. The research results showed that this learning model successfully enhanced students' understanding of the importance of tolerance and diversity, shaping more inclusive students who are prepared to face global challenges. These findings are expected to serve as a guide for educators and policymakers in developing curricula that support the character formation of Pancasila Students throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' learning motivation through an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in the Digital Business subject at SMK As-Salafi Balung. The problem addressed is the low level of motivation caused by conventional methods that provide minimal active and contextual engagement, leading to reduced enthusiasm and limited understanding of the relevance of learning materials to the digital work environment. The general objective is to improve the quality of the learning process to be more adaptive to digital technology development. Specific objectives include: (1) increasing students' motivation through AI-based PjBL; (2) evaluating the improvement of non-cognitive learning outcomes, particularly critical thinking and digital technology skills for real-world projects; and (3) presenting innovative strategies aligned with industry demands. This research uses a qualitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to assess motivation and attitudinal changes. The study expects to produce a contextual AI-integrated PjBL model to enhance motivation and 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendokumentasikan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di kelompok Batik Laila, yang berlokasi di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Budi Utomo Lumajang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi beberapa kendala dalam produksi batik tulis tradisional yang dihadapi oleh mitra, terutama terkait penggunaan alat tradisional yang tidak efisien dan waktu produksi yang lama. Melalui pendekatan ini, mitra diperkenalkan dengan teknologi modern, seperti canting elektrik dan kompor elektrik, yang memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Mitra juga diberikan dukungan dalam bentuk peralatan batik tulis yang lebih canggih dan efisien, seperti canting elektrik dan kompor elektrik, untuk membantu mereka meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi produksi. Mitra juga menerima pelatihan dalam pemasaran digital, branding, dan promosi untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar dan meningkatkan daya saing produk mereka. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mencakup peningkatan yang signifikan dalam efisiensi produksi, kemampuan manajemen usaha, dan perbaikan strategi pemasaran di kelompok usaha Batik Tulis Laila di PKBM Budi Utomo Lumajang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi learning loss melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan fokus pada pembangunan kemandirian belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kencong. Learning loss telah menjadi isu kritis dalam pendidikan akibat pandemi COVID-19, dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi pendekatan yang diadopsi untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar siswa yang beragam. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan fokus pada kemandirian belajar siswa telah berhasil mengurangi learning loss. Siswa merasa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar dan memiliki rasa tanggung jawab atas proses pembelajaran mereka. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk memilih metode belajar yang sesuai dengan gaya belajar dan minat mereka, yang meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dan keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, pembangunan kemandirian belajar melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk mengatasi learning loss. Dengan memberdayakan siswa dalam proses belajar mereka, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar dan mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di masa depan.

Abstract

PGRI Argopuro University Jember is a university with a vision of Quality Higher Education and National Competitiveness Based on Science and Technology in the fields of Local Wisdom, Entrepreneurship and Disability in 2030. The UNIPAR Jember Disability Study and Service Center provides assistance to students with disabilities as evidence of an inclusive education environment. By assisting students with disabilities, they are more courageous to start their own business, which helps them have sufficient human capital after graduating from school. This type of research is qualitative with data collection methods in the form of observation, documentation, and interviews This research was conducted qualitatively using a descriptive approach. The results of the research showed that the mentoring went well and the target fulfillment was in accordance with the steps of the mentoring activities that had been set. Participants already have entrepreneurial planning that will be followed up immediately. The business system management has been prepared in the form of work program instructions that can be used as a reference during the course of the business.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mereduksi atau mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi kademik yang dialami oleh siswa kelas VIII SMPN Sukorambi Jember. prokrastinasi adalah menunda dengan sengaja kegiatan yang diinginkan walaupun individu mengetahui bahwa perilaku penundaannya tersebut dapat menghasilkan dampak buruk. Oleh karena itu,penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meneliti apakah penerapan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif dapat membantu mengurangi perilaku prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN Sukorambi Jember. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji wilcoxon. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain one grup pretest-posttest. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji wilcoxon diperoleh nilai Z sebesar -2732 dengan simpotik signifikansi untuk uji dua arah sebesar 0,012. Dari hasilpengujian di atas, diketahui nilai Asymp. Sig (2- tailed) sebesar 0,279< 0,05 makadapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima yang artinya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima karena ada penurunan tingkat prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN Sukorambi Jember setelah dilakukan konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of microlearning-based instructional media in improving the language literacy skills of elementary school students. The microlearning media developed consists of short videos using a chunk-based approach that includes pre-learning, core, and post-learning activities. The study employed the research and development with ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used included surveys, interviews, and observations, while data analysis techniques involved quantitative analysis (pretest and posttest) and qualitative analysis from interviews and observations.  Validation was carried out by media and education experts, followed by revisions based on the feedback provided. The implementation involved 60 fourth and fifth-grade students at elementary schools for Indonesian language lessons. Evaluation results showed an average increase of 34.35% in students' language literacy skills after using the media. Students also gave positive feedback on the clarity and presentation of the materials through the microlearning videos. Based on these results, microlearning media can be considered an effective tool for improving students' language literacy, reading skills, reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary mastery, and sentence construction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning medium using a Science Inquiry approach to enhance science literacy among early childhood learners. The study follows the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects included early childhood students and teachers from two preschools in Jember, Indonesia. Research instruments involved observations, questionnaires, and interviews to assess children's understanding, engagement, and motivation, as well as teacher satisfaction and ease of use. Data analysis techniques included both formative and summative evaluations: formative evaluation examined each stage of the ADDIE model, while summative evaluation assessed the AR medium's effectiveness in enhancing science literacy and overall learning experience. Trial results show that the use of AR significantly improves children's understanding of scientific concepts, active engagement, and motivation in learning science. Additionally, both children and teachers rated the AR media as easy to use, with high levels of satisfaction reported by teachers, underscoring the medium’s accessibility and impact. Summative evaluations reveal that the AR medium positively impacts science literacy, with an overall rating of "excellent." Consequently, AR-based media with a Science Inquiry approach shows great promise as an innovative solution for improving science literacy among young children in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model in the Economics subject and its role in fostering student character in Grade XI at MA Miftahul Ulum Suren. The research stems from the growing need to integrate character education into classroom learning in a meaningful and contextual manner. Using a qualitative approach and a case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Talking Stick model encourages active student participation and cultivates key character traits such as responsibility, honesty, self-confidence, cooperation, and discipline. Classroom dynamics showed significant behavioral shifts, especially in students’ willingness to express opinions and take turns respectfully. Supporting documents such as lesson plans, teacher journals, and photos indicate well-structured planning and consistent implementation. The study concludes that the Talking Stick model is not only effective for delivering Economics material but also instrumental in instilling social values and positive behaviors. It is particularly suitable for religious-based schools seeking to strengthen character development alongside academic learning. The study recommends that educators adopt active and participatory models to enhance both instructional quality and moral education.
