Abstract

The character of Al-Islam Muhammadiyah is the core of education provided by Muhammadiyah and Aisyiah Universities. Cultivating this character is an important element that must be pursued so that students become individuals who have moral character. Theoretically, character education not only increases students' knowledge aspects but also develops affective aspects through implementation and refraction in everyday life. In principle, the values of Al-Islam Muhammadiyah are not only to be understood but need to be applied. The focus of this research is to describe and analyze the efforts of the academic community of the Faculty of Health Sciences in increasing knowledge, familiarizing and implementing Al-Islam Muhammadiyah values in the campus environment. The research method implemented is qualitative with data mining methods through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research practically increase knowledge of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah carried out through lectures, training, workshops and Islamic studies. The habituation efforts are carried out through mentoring activities to read the Al-Qur'an, worship according to the Muhammadiyah tarjih decision, habituation to mahdhah and ghoiru mahdhah worship, habituation to good behavior and attitudes according to AIK values in the campus environment. The implementation of AIK is carried out through being active in Muhammadiyah recitation activities, obtaining Muhammadiyah membership cards, social service in Muhammadiyah charities and increasing missionary competence.

Abstract

Era digitalisasi dengan kurikulum merdeka belajar kompetensi guru-guru dinilai kurang kereatif dan berinovasi untuk membangkitkan semangat siswa belajar. Bahkan mayoritas guru-guru di sekolah masih cenderung menerapkan pendekatan konvensional dengan model ceramah (Teacher Centered). Hal ini menjadi faktor penghambat peningkatan mutu pembelajaran serta ketidaktercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Sikap kris siswa yang tidak terbangun sehingga cenderung pasif berdampak padan terbatasnya interaksi baik antar individu, antar teman maupun siswa dan guru.  Maka kegiatan pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dinilai penting sekali untuk merifres dan membuka wawasan guru-guru. Adapun metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dan wokshop di sekolah. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilapangan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: Tahap pertama peneliti melakukan persiapan kunjungan ke sekolah melakukan observasi dan wawancara pada kepala sekolah dan guru. Tahap kedua melakukan workshop startegi pembelajaran inovatif pada guru-guru. Tahap ketiga melakukan diskusi mendalam tentang strategi pemebelajaran inovatif yang mendukung kurikulum MBKM. Tahap keempat, pendampingan pada guru-guru dalam Menyusun RPP berbasis startegi pembelajaran problem based learning. Tahap kelima, evaluasi kegiatan pelaksanaan mulai pertama sampai akhir. Adapun hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini adalah melakukan perubahan startegi pemeblajaran guru yang selama ini cenderung konvensional menjadi strategi pembelajaran inovatif dianataranya: menerapkan strategi pembelajaran problem based learning dan startegi pembelajaran kontekstual. Abstract

General Background: The advancement of science and technology has reshaped modern civilization, yet without a moral foundation, it risks diminishing human values. Specific Background: Islamic education, rooted in divine revelation, emphasizes a balanced integration of knowledge from both the Qur'an (Qauliyah verses) and natural phenomena (Kauniyah verses) to cultivate holistic human development. Knowledge Gap: Despite the growing body of research on religious and scientific integration, few studies explore the epistemological synthesis of revelation and empirical observation in shaping Islamic educational frameworks. Aims: This study aims to analyze the integration of Qauliyah and Kauniyah verses with science and technology to build an educational model grounded in both spiritual and intellectual excellence. Results: Through literature review, the study finds that integrating both types of verses enriches pedagogical methods, strengthens students' engagement, and inspires Muslim scholars to develop contextual, character-based education amid global technological challenges. Novelty: The research introduces a conceptual paradigm where scientific inquiry becomes a medium for deepening faith and ethical awareness, rejecting the dichotomy between religious and secular knowledge. Implications: The findings suggest that integrating revelation and empirical knowledge can form a value-based curriculum in Islamic education, offering a viable response to secularization and moral decline in global education.Highlight : Integration of Qauliyah and Kauniyah verses strengthens Islamic education foundations. Islamic education should combine revealed values with scientific knowledge. Science and technology serve as a medium for deeper reflection and faith. Abstract

In its development, Islamic boarding schools experience transformation and evolution in accordance with the needs and developments of the times. Basically, Islamic boarding schools are a place for religious learning and a center for Islamic preaching. However, in its development, Islamic boarding schools continue to innovate and be creative in order to survive and serve the educational needs of the community. One innovation is that Islamic boarding schools are not only educational institutions but also provide tourist and culinary attractions. This certainly cannot be separated from the role of the kiyai in managing it. This view attracts researchers to reveal and study the role of kiyai in making this happen. In substance, this research focuses on analyzing the role of kiyai as managers, motivators, administrators and evaluators in tourism and culinary development. The research method uses a qualitative approach using data mining techniques through observation, documentation and interviews. The research results explain that kiyai have a strategic role in pioneering the development of Sharia-based natural tourism. The efforts made by the kiyai include training, workshops, comparative studies, increasing comfort and security, cultivating sharia tourism and halal culinary, cadre management, empowering students. In leadership, he carries out his role as a manager by planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating work programs with his subordinates. The role of the kiyai evaluator is active in evaluating activities to determine the successes and obstacles of the planned program. The role of the kiyai as a motivator is very strategic because in Islamic boarding school culture the fatwa or instructions of the kiyai as motivation must be carried out. The role of the kiyai is as an administrator by being the pioneer of orderly administration. All forms of administration must be based on the direction, guidance and knowledge of the kiya

Abstract

The large number of lecturers in Indonesia is clear evidence that there is still a large number of people who choose lecturers as their profession and career. So that the career of a lecturer in a university requires serious and professional management. One of the lecturers' career management processes in tertiary institutions can be done with career management. The purpose of this study has concrete objectives, namely to identify and describe the planning, development and career decision-making processes of lecturers at Muhamamdiyah university in the Covid-19 Pademi Era. The research method used a qualitative approach with a case study design at UM Jember with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Lecturer career management at the University of Muhammadiyah during the Covid-19 pandemic includes several stages, namely career planning, career development and career decision making. Each of these stages has an operational process with its own methods and objectives. In lecturer career planning, it is divided into two, namely individual and organizational career planning which consists of several processes, namely the planning phase, the briefing phase, the development phase and the evaluation phase. Of all the stages of career management during the Covid-19 pandemic above, starting from planning, development and decision making, it is not much different from the conditions before the pandemic. But what distinguishes it is in terms of the career development method which in its implementation uses an online system with virtual methods, geogle meet and room zoom.

Abstract

In the context of higher education, leadership is a very strategic element, because leadership has a role to encourage change in an organization. Leadership in higher education organizations, of course, the Chancellor is a real leader who plays a role in determining the performance of higher education organizations. The Chancellor as the highest leader in higher education institutions is one element that plays an important role in moving the performance of existing human resources. Besides that, one of the factors that becomes a benchmark for the success of a university is the performance of lecturers. With regard to these assumptions, it can be formulated that the purpose of this research has a concrete goal, namely to analyze and describe how the leadership style of the Chancellor of UM Jember in motivating, trying, and evaluating lecturer performance. Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan pilar utama dalam membentuk generasi bangsa yang cerdas dan berakhlak mulia. Dalam konteks tersebut, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam menciptakan ekosistem pendidik yang profesional, khususnya di SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah, yang diwujudkan melalui fungsi manajerial, supervisi akademik, dan pembinaan profesional, berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan kompetensi guru secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah yang visioner, komunikatif, dan konsisten dalam mengimplementasikan program peningkatan kompetensi guru mampu membangun budaya belajar yang kolaboratif, reflektif, dan berorientasi mutu. Dukungan kepala sekolah terhadap pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan—melalui pelatihan, komunitas belajar, dan evaluasi berkala—terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah berperan sebagai katalisator utama dalam pembentukan ekosistem pendidik yang profesional di lembaga pendidikan Islam tingkat menengah. Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan transformasional, kepala sekolah, ekosistem pendidik, profesionalisme guru, pendidikan Islam Abstract: Education serves as a fundamental pillar in shaping a generation that is intellectually capable and morally grounded. Within this context, the leadership of school principals plays a strategic role in cultivating a professional educator ecosystem, particularly in Islamic secondary education settings such as SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. This study examines how transformational school leadership—manifested through managerial functions, academic supervision, and professional development initiatives—contributes to the continuous growth of teachers’ competencies. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that a visionary, communicative, and consistent principal, who effectively implements teacher development programmes, is able to foster a collaborative, reflective, and quality-oriented learning culture. Furthermore, the principal’s support for continuous professional development—through training, learning communities, and periodic evaluations—has proven effective in enhancing teaching quality. In conclusion, transformational school leadership functions as a key catalyst in shaping a professional educator ecosystem within Islamic secondary education institutions.
