Abstract

Basically, ritual activities are a series of sacred (sacred / sacred) actions carried out by Hindus using certain tools, places, and certain ways. Its main function is as a medium to surrender by worshiping God along with His manifestations accompanied by various offerings while accompanied by prayers (mantras) in order to obtain a gift of salvation. The rituals that are often encountered and experienced and carried out in daily life are generally life cycle rituals such as the rituals of birth, marriage, until death that are religiously believed by followers. Hinduism itself as a religion constructed by three basic frameworks positions "ritual" (event) as a supplement of material (skin / packaging) to support the element of "ethics" (moral) as part of an essence that is strengthened as well as to strengthen the foundation of "philosophy" (tattwa) as substance.

Abstract

Moral degradation is characterized by a lack of human understanding of religious teachings. Currently there are many problems that exist for children, especially those who are already teenagers. Education is divided into three types of informal, formal, and non-formal education. Character education is very necessary for children who have reached adolescence, one of which is education in foundations. Foundations have an important role in transferring the values of character education so as to be able to create foster children who have noble character traits. Based on the above, there are three problems that are examined in this study, which are as follows: 1) What are the forms of attitudes of the suputra children who are trained by the Punia Fund Foundation? 2) What is the role of the Dana Punia Foundation in shaping the attitude of the suputra childrenand what are the obstacles faced by the foundation? 3) What are the implications of the role of the Dana Punia Foundation in forming suputra children ? The above problems are analyzed using behavioristic theory to dissect the first and third problems, while constructivism theory is used to dissect the formulation of the second problem. The data in this study were collected using non-participatory observation techniques, structured interview techniques and document studies, while data processing used descriptive qualitative techniques because the data were obtained from words, expressions and questions. After the data is processed, the following conclusions are obtained: 1) suputra children, namely children who have noble character, are intelligent, wise, and are proud of their family. 2) forms of suputra character education, namely religious attitudes, honesty, discipline, environmental care, creative attitudes. 3) the role of foster parents as parents, foster parents as motivators, foster parents as mentors and coaches, foster parents as facilitators. The constraints are caused by several factors, namely child factors, family factors, foster parents factors, foundation factors. 4) implications for foster children, namely increasing religious attitudes, increasing honesty, increasing disciplinary attitudes, increasing environmental care attitudes, increasing creative attitudes.

Abstract

Abstract This study examines the importance of cultivating the religious behavior of grhastha ashrama in Sukawati Village based on Tri Hita Karana, founded on the local wisdom inherited from the ancestors. In today’s era of everything instant and pragmatic, certain people’s behaviors deviate from the religious teachings because of the weakening of sradha, or understanding and belief in the teachings of their religion. Thus, it is feared that social anxiety and conflicts will occur in various aspects of life. Tri Hita Karana is one of the local wisdoms of Balinese people which acts as a policy, knowledge and local intelligence that can be used as a reference to cultivate the religious behavior of grhastha ashrama. Grhastha ashrama are defined as krama desa elders, who serves as role models for the community and the younger generation. Tri Hita Karana values must be observed by maintaining harmony with others and with the natural environment. The purpose of this study is to provide scientific description and explanation of the importance of Tri Hita Karana ideology in cultivating the religious behavior of grhastha ashrama, as a catalyst for development of the village community, by preserving the culture to conserve the agricultural environment, because Balinese culture cannot be separated from agricultural life. This study was conducted with case study approach as one variant of the qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted by the techniques of interview, observation, literature, and documentation study. The findings of this study state that the grhastha ashrama tend to display hard working attitude to make ends meet and follow the latest trends. Likewise, krama feel the increasing burden to make ends meet, especially the cost of preserving art and culture that are very expensive. This seems to influence the habits of the Sukawati people who are famed for their enthusiasm in performing art and culture and tend to ignore the religious behavior based on the ideology of Tri Hita Karana.
