Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study aims to develop a synergistic model integrating Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and deep learning in higher education to address persistent challenges in curriculum alignment, teacher readiness, and assessment practices. The research examines the interrelationships among Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), teacher pedagogical competencies, and assessment models to formulate a comprehensive framework that enhances instructional quality and student learning outcomes. Methodology: This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) in accordance with the PRISMA protocol. Data were collected from Scopus and Web of Science-indexed scholarly articles published between 2015 and 2025, supplemented by seminal theoretical works. From an initial pool, 47 eligible studies were selected and thematically analyzed using open and axial coding to identify integration patterns across the curriculum design, teacher training, and assessment dimensions. Main Findings: Three critical dimensions emerged as foundational for successful OBE-deep learning integration: first, alignment between CLOs and PLOs requires a quantitative mapping matrix supported by Content Beyond the Syllabus initiatives; second, teacher training must prioritize generative pedagogical strategies and assessment literacy; third, a dynamic assessment model integrating process, summative, social, and value-added evaluations is essential. The synergistic model extends Biggs's constructive alignment by incorporating adaptive personalization and continuous feedback dimensions, which are enabled by digital technology. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study presents a comprehensive, synergistic model that integrates OBE and deep learning paradigms into a unified framework, addressing integration gaps that have been previously unexplored in the literature. It extends constructive alignment theory by incorporating adaptive personalization and technology-enabled continuous feedback loops, and synthesizes evidence from recent international publications to provide a theoretical foundation for future empirical research in higher education curriculum reform.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of school principals' policies in improving the pedagogic competence of teachers in Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which collects data through in-depth interviews with principals, vice principals, and teachers, as well as observation of policy planning and evaluation activities. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify key themes related to policy planning, evaluation, and collaboration in improving pedagogic competence. The results of the study show that the policies implemented by the principal at the Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School focus on structured planning, continuous evaluation, and collaboration with teachers. Systematic planning and regular evaluation have been proven to increase teaching effectiveness. In addition, collaboration between school principals and teachers in designing education policies also strengthens the implementation of policies that are relevant to educational needs. Nonetheless, challenges in implementation such as resistance to change and resource limitations remain obstacles. This research contributes to understanding the importance of inclusive and continuous evaluation-based education policies to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires adaptive, student-centered learning approaches that enhance meaningful engagement. Gamification and Game-Based Learning (GBL) have emerged as innovative strategies to address this challenge. This study aims to analyze the use of gamification and GBL within the Merdeka Curriculum and their impact on students' motivation and learning outcomes. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, searching the Scopus, ScienceDirect, ERIC, and SINTA databases for publications from 2019 to 2025. Of 842 identified articles, 32 met the inclusion criteria and were thematically analyzed. The findings reveal that gamification and GBL consistently improve intrinsic motivation, cognitive engagement, and both cognitive and affective learning outcomes across educational levels. Platforms such as Kahoot!, Quizizz, Minecraft Education, and Wordwall are the most frequently used. However, challenges persist regarding teacher readiness, digital infrastructure, and alignment with the Pancasila Student Profile. The study concludes that integrating gamification and GBL significantly contributes to achieving the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum.
