Abstract

Studying the yellow books is the key to counteracting radicalism and shaping a moderate character in Islamic religious education. Using a qualitative integrative review approach, the author integrates and summarizes the education of the yellow books with a moderate attitude to ultimately counteract radicalism. The yellow books contain profound principles of Islam, allowing a strong understanding of the true and authentic teachings of Islam, preventing radical interpretations. Learning the yellow books also opens the door to diverse thinking, promoting tolerance, and fostering good ethics in daily life. The importance of understanding the yellow books in addressing radicalism and extremism also impacts scholars and religious leaders who promote peace and moderation. Additionally, the study of the yellow books assists the younger generation in facing contemporary issues. However, if the yellow books are not preserved, there is a risk of losing the valuable intellectual heritage of Islam, intellectual skills, declining interfaith dialogue capabilities, cultural identity loss, religious education regression, and an inability to confront contemporary challenges

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Jigsaw Puzzle media in improving vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at MTs. Darut Taqwa 02 Sengonagung Purwosari. The research employed a quantitative method with a One Group Pre-test Post-test design. Data were collected observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of data analysis using the t-test and N-Gain test showed a significant improvement in students' vocabulary mastery. The findings revealed that the average N-Gain score was 0.77 (77.31%), which is categorized as high. These result indicate that the use of Jigsaw Puzzle media not only helps students memorize vocabulary but also enhances motivation, engagement, and interaction in Arabic learning process. Therefore, this media can serve as an innovative, effective, and enjoyable alternative for language learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif media Jigsaw Puzzle dalam meningkatkan penguasaan mufradat pada siswa kelas VIII di MTs. Darut Taqwa 02 Sengonagung Purwosari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pre-test Post-test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-T dan uji N-Gain menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam penguasaan mufradat siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor N-Gain sebesar 0,77 (77,31%) yang diklasifikasikan dalam kategori tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Jigsaw Puzzle tidak hanya membantu siswa dalam menghafal mufradat, tetapi juga meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan interaksi dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Dengan demikian, media ini bisa menjasi alternatif pembelajaran yang inovatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of suggestopedia method in improving maharah istima' of junior high school students. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experiment design. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and tests to measure changes in maharah istima' before and after the application of the suggestopedia method. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in students' maharah istima' ability after the application of the suggestopedia method. Statistical tests showed a significant difference between pretest scores with an average value of 42.24 and posttest 46.56. The findings of this study state that the suggestopedia method is effective in improving students' maharah istima' in Arabic language learning. The implication of this study shows the potential of suggestopedia method as one of the methods that can be adopted to improve Arabic language learning especially maharah istima'.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kontribusi penerapan model Gamified Learning Cycle terhadap peningkatan penguasaan mufradat bahasa Arab siswa. Kemampuan mufradat merupakan fondasi utama dalam materi pelajaran bahasa Arab secara menyeluruh, namun pendekatan pembelajaran yang berfokus pada guru kerap memicu kejenuhan dan menghambat kemampuan siswa dalam mengingat mufradat yang telah dipelajari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan non-equivalent control group design yang melibatkan 58 siswa kelas VIII MTsN 2 Pasuruan sebagai subjek penelitian. Subjek dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yakni kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui instrumen tes awal dan tes akhir, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t-test. Kelompok eksperimen mengikuti pembelajaran melalui model Gamified Learning Cycle yang mengintegrasikan aktivitas berbasis permainan, meliputi kerja sama tim, tantangan belajar, dan sistem penghargaan. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan perbedaan capaian belajar yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok setelah intervensi dilaksanakan. Rata-rata nilai kelompok eksperimen mengalami kenaikan dari 77.80 menjadi 86.87, sementara kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 77.32 menjadi 82.25. Pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0.029 (p < 0.05), yang mengonfirmasi efektivitas model Gamified Learning Cycle dalam meningkatkan penguasaan mufradat bahasa Arab siswa. Lebih dari sekadar meningkatkan capaian akademik, penerapan model ini turut mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif terlibat dan berpartisipasi sepanjang proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Although Arabic is the sacred language of the Qur’an and the key to understanding Islamic teachings, in Indonesia it is often misunderstood due to its association with socio-political issues. This study is significant in strengthening the values of tolerance, pluralism, and nationalism through an inclusive and humanistic Arabic language learning approach at Yudharta University Pasuruan (UYP), an Islamic boarding school–based university that upholds diversity. The aim of this research is to analyze the concept, implementation, and multicultural values internalized in Arabic language learning. The study employs a qualitative case study approach using interviews, moderate participant observation, and documentation, with data analyzed through condensation, presentation, and verification stages using source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the internalization of multicultural values at UYP is based on three main pillars: institutional policy, curriculum integration, and pesantren culture. Implementation is carried out through active and inclusive learning, value integration in assignments, and experiential field activities. The dominant values include tolerance, togetherness, equality, and cultural openness. This study produces the Multicultural Learning Ecosystem Model, illustrating that the internalization of values occurs simultaneously through structural, pedagogical, cultural, and experiential dimensions, serving as a model for multicultural-oriented Arabic language education.
