Abstract

Learning Arabic is often challenging, especially for students without prior knowledge. This article employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach to investigate the effectiveness of Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) in Arabic language learning. PMA, as a humanistic approach, aims to motivate students, enhance their enthusiasm for learning, and boost their confidence in facing learning challenges. Additionally, PMA helps reduce stress and anxiety, creates a positive classroom environment, and strengthens social relationships among students. The study's findings indicate that PMA supports perseverance and a never-give-up attitude, which overall improves students' language skills and long-term learning experiences. In conclusion, the PMA approach has great potential in facilitating a more effective and enjoyable Arabic language learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how effective the cooperative learning model using Team Games Tournament with the help of Number Cards on students' mastery of mufradat in class X A Madrasah Aliyah. With the subject matter of "yaumiyyah", this research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Class X A. This research is a type of quantitative experiment with a pre-test and post-test design. The purpose of the pre-test and post-test design is to determine whether or not the treatment has an influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. In addition, the sample of this study was collected from class X A of Madrasah Aliyah, which consisted of 15 students. This sample was obtained through saturated sampling technique. In this study, all students of class X A Madrasah Aliyah were selected as the population because they were easily accessible to the researcher. The data analysis techniques used in this study were Normality Test and T Test. In this study, there was an effect of the application of the Team Games Tournament learning model assisted by Number Card media on students' mastery of mufradat. From the results of the Normality Test calculation shows a sig value of 0.200> 0.05. And from the results of the T test calculation shows a sig value of 0.001 <0.05, which if it is concluded that there is an effect of using the Team Games Tournament type cooperative learning model assisted by Number Card media on students' mastery of mufradat

Abstract

The formation of religious character is an integral part of value-based education in Islamic educational institutions. This article discusses the program of habituating Dhuha prayer at MA NU Al-Faqihiyah, Gempol Pasuruan, as an effort to cultivate students' religious character. The community service method employed involves active participation with an educational and habituation approach through congregational Dhuha prayer activities. The program engages teachers as key facilitators in guiding students to understand the essence and practice of Dhuha prayer. The results indicate increased student commitment to performing Dhuha prayer, enhanced spiritual understanding, and the reinforcement of religious values such as discipline, gratitude, and responsibility. This article recommends the implementation of similar models in various educational institutions to support the development of Islamic character.

Abstract

Arabic is an important international language that is not easy to learn, both for native speakers and foreign learners. In Indonesia, the teaching of Arabic often depends on the teacher’s ability and motivation, which vary widely. This study examines the cognitive approach in teaching Arabic vocabulary (mufradat) at UIN Maliki Malang, which is currently facing low vocabulary mastery among second-semester students. This qualitative research involves observation, interviews, and document analysis, focusing on the role of lecturers as facilitators and the use of cognitive approaches in vocabulary learning. The results of the study indicate that the cognitive approach, which involves mental processes and active student interaction, can enhance students’ understanding and engagement in learning Arabic. The analysis of singular and plural forms in noun sentences helps students develop critical and creative thinking skills, as well as improve learning motivation and self-confidence.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of an active learning model using card sort media to improve students’ understanding of Arabic grammar (qawāʿid) at MTs Darut Taqwa 02. Adopting a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach, the study involved 40 ninth-grade students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments. Results showed a notable increase in the average score from 52.75 to 79.25. Observational data also revealed high student engagement across cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains. These findings suggest that the card sort method offers a practical and engaging alternative for grammar instruction, especially in making abstract concepts more concrete and participatory. The study concludes that this approach can foster more meaningful learning and student motivation in Arabic language education.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Arabic Listening Speaking application in improving students' maharah kalam at MA Al-Hidayah Pasuruan. The research method used is quantitative with a one group pretest and posttest experimental design, involving all students as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest as well as classroom observation. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in maharah kalam ability, as indicated by the paired sample t-test significance value of 0.001. In addition, the N-Gain value of 60.98% showed an increase in the moderate category. The findings from the observation also strengthen that the use of the Arabic Listening Speaking application is able to create an interactive, innovative, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Overall, this study makes a significant contribution to the development of Arabic language learning in Indonesia and confirms the positive potential of using technology to support the learning process.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan aplikasi Arabic Listening Speaking dalam meningkatkan maharah kalam siswa di MA Al-Hidayah Pasuruan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan eksperimen one group pretest and posttest, dengan melibatkan seluruh siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest serta observasi kelas. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan maharah kalam yang signifikan, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi paired sample t-test sebesar 0,001. Selain itu, nilai N-Gain sebesar 60,98% menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kategori sedang. Temuan hasil observasi juga memperkuat bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Arabic Listening Speaking mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, inovatif, dan menyenangkan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi pengembangan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia dan menegaskan potensi positif penggunaan teknologi untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Jigsaw Puzzle media in improving vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at MTs. Darut Taqwa 02 Sengonagung Purwosari. The research employed a quantitative method with a One Group Pre-test Post-test design. Data were collected observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of data analysis using the t-test and N-Gain test showed a significant improvement in students' vocabulary mastery. The findings revealed that the average N-Gain score was 0.77 (77.31%), which is categorized as high. These result indicate that the use of Jigsaw Puzzle media not only helps students memorize vocabulary but also enhances motivation, engagement, and interaction in Arabic learning process. Therefore, this media can serve as an innovative, effective, and enjoyable alternative for language learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif media Jigsaw Puzzle dalam meningkatkan penguasaan mufradat pada siswa kelas VIII di MTs. Darut Taqwa 02 Sengonagung Purwosari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pre-test Post-test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-T dan uji N-Gain menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam penguasaan mufradat siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor N-Gain sebesar 0,77 (77,31%) yang diklasifikasikan dalam kategori tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Jigsaw Puzzle tidak hanya membantu siswa dalam menghafal mufradat, tetapi juga meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan interaksi dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Dengan demikian, media ini bisa menjasi alternatif pembelajaran yang inovatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of suggestopedia method in improving maharah istima' of junior high school students. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experiment design. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and tests to measure changes in maharah istima' before and after the application of the suggestopedia method. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in students' maharah istima' ability after the application of the suggestopedia method. Statistical tests showed a significant difference between pretest scores with an average value of 42.24 and posttest 46.56. The findings of this study state that the suggestopedia method is effective in improving students' maharah istima' in Arabic language learning. The implication of this study shows the potential of suggestopedia method as one of the methods that can be adopted to improve Arabic language learning especially maharah istima'.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah rendahnya kemampuan menghafal mufradat Bahasa Arab siswa dengan menggunakan metode Silent Way. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan 25 sampel tiap kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur kemampuan menghafal mufradat siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pre-test (70,69) dan post-test (82,24), dan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode Silent Way dan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata post-test siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat, menunjukkan bahwa metode Silent Way efektif dalam meningkatkan hafalan mufradat. Uji statistik mendukung temuan ini dengan hasil yang signifikan pada uji t-test. Metode Silent Way dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, khususnya dalam menghafal mufradat.
