Abstract

Vibration is a back-and-forth movement in a certain time interval that produces waves in a medium. Vibration can occur on a small or large scale. So on a small scale, a vibration sensor is needed to detect certain phenomena such as vibrations of engine capacity and detected pressure. On a large scale, vibration sensors can be used to detect earthquakes and other major phenomena and design a real-time vibration detection system for long distances, so vibration sensor components, controllers, and radio systems are needed. Therefore, researchers made a simple vibration detector using the experimental method. This final project aims to design, realize, and test the characteristics of the MPU 5060 accelerometer vibration sensor that is connected wirelessly. The characteristics of the sensor are tested against the magnitude of the vibration source, the distance of the vibration source, the placement medium, and the detection period. After testing the tool 10 times, it can be concluded that this simple vibration detector functions well and the highest average load results are obtained, namely in the 1-kilogram load test with a value of 1.93026 and the lowest average results are in the ceramic load test with a value of 0.651357.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) memberi pengaruh terhadap semua bidang, salah satunya di bidang pendidikan. Pelayanan di bidang pendidikan pada umumnya dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknologi komputer. Komputer merupakan bagian dari perkembangan TIK yang memberi dampak positif terhadap proses administrasi di sekolah. Oleh karenan itu, manusia khsusnya yang berprofesi sebagai pendidik dituntut untuk menguasai dan meningkatkan pengetahuan di bidang TIK. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas di bidang pendidikan, banyak langkah yang telah dilakukan pemerintah salah satunya adalah meningkatkan kualitas SDM khususnya guru-guru melalui berbagai pelatihan-pelatihan. Oleh karena itu, Politeknik Aceh Selatan (POLTAS) melaui Program Studi Teknik Komputer akan melakukan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi komputer dan teknologi informasi untuk membantu mengatasi berbagai masalah yang dihadapi guru-guru. Kegiatan tersebut sebagai bentuk pengabdian dan peran Politeknik Aceh Selatan kepada masyarakat Aceh Selatan khususnya di di SMA Negeri 1 Samadua. Diharapkan setelah mengikuti pelatihan tersebut guru-guru SMA Negeri 1 Samadua bisa meningkatkan kemampuan diri dalam bidang teknologi informasi guna memenuhi kebutuhan secara lebih cepat, tepat sehingga mampu mengerjakan tugas dengan berkapasitas yang jauh lebih besar, efektif, dan efisien.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah salah satu Dharma dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, disamping dharma pendidikan dan dharma penelitian, dimana Perguruan Tinggi diharapkan ada usaha secara sadar untuk mencegah terjadinya isolasi Perguruan Tinggi dari masyarakat dan lingkungannya, sehingga akan selalu ada keterkaitan atau bahkan kemanunggalan Perguruan Tinggi dan masyarakat. Saat ini dunia sedang tergoncang oleh kasus coronavirus disease atau dikenal dengan istilahcovid-19 sejak akhir tahun lalu. Virus menular yang berasal dari Wuhan, Tiongkok itu telah menyebar hamper keseluruh dunia termasuk negara Indonesia. Ketika Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengeluarkan Surat Edaran No 3 Tahun 2020 tentang pencegahan Covid-19 pada Satuan Pendidikan pada tanggal 9 Maret 2020; surat Edaran Kesehatan No HK.02.01/MENKES/199/2020 pada 12 Maret 2020; dan Surat Edaran Sekjen Kemendikbud No 36603/A.A5/OT/2020 pada 15 Maret 2020, tentang pencegahan virus covid- 19 ini. Pemerintah juga menghimbau agar belajar dan bekerja dari rumah. Lembaga pendidikan Politeknik Aceh Selatan juga menyambut himbauan pemerintah tersebut dengan mengadakankegiatan akademik dari jarak jauh, seperti perkuliahan yang dilakukan secara online pada masa pandemi ini.

Abstract

Penulisan karya tulis dan karya ilmiah di bidang pendidikan merupakan salah satu bentuk pengembangan profesi dari seorang guru yang dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Namun jumlah karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh keprofesian guru masih berada di angka yang rendah. Salah satu kesulitan penulisan karya ilmiah yang dialami oleh para guru adalah pengembangan ide atau pemikiran menjadi sebuah tulisan karya ilmiah yang koheren dan padu. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah dalam bentuk laporan penelitian maupun penulisan artikel dalam jurnal ilmiah. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan dan menambah kemampuan seorang guru untuk bisa dalam keterampilan bahasa verbal menjadi terampil juga dalam menuangkan ide dan pemikirannya dalam bentuk tulisan. Sejumlah guru terutama guru muda yang mengajar di SMA dan SMK di Kabupaten Aceh Selatan menjadi target utama dalam pelatihan ini. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman mengenai metode penulisan artikel ilmiah yang baik dan berkualitas, meningkatkan motivasi guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, serta menghasilkan naskah/artikel oleh guru yang layak dipublikasikan. Dalam hal ini turut difasilitasi dengan template dari jurnal dan jurnal yang bisa menampung artikel para guru yang layak untuk dipublikasikan.

Abstract

Keterampilan dalam mengoperasikan Microsoft Office merupakan kemampuan dasar yang wajib dimiliki mahasiswa untuk menunjang kegiatan akademik maupun administrasi. Oleh karena itu, Politeknik Aceh Selatan menyelenggarakan pelatihan pengenalan dasar Microsoft Office bagi mahasiswa baru penerima beasiswa Pemerintah Aceh Tahun 2025. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktis dalam menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Word, Excel, dan PowerPoint. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan pendekatan praktik langsung (hands-on training) yang dipandu oleh instruktur, serta disertai penugasan untuk memastikan pemahaman peserta. Pelatihan ini berlangsung secara intensif dan diikuti dengan antusias oleh mahasiswa baru. Evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam penguasaan keterampilan dasar Microsoft Office. Peserta mampu menyusun dokumen akademik dengan format yang benar, mengolah data melalui tabel dan rumus sederhana di Excel, serta merancang presentasi yang sistematis menggunakan PowerPoint. Keberhasilan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan dasar Microsoft Office efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital mahasiswa. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, mahasiswa baru penerima beasiswa tidak hanya dibekali kemampuan akademik, tetapi juga keterampilan teknologi informasi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia pendidikan dan dunia kerja. Pelatihan ini diharapkan menjadi fondasi awal yang dapat mendukung keberhasilan studi serta menambah daya saing lulusan Politeknik Aceh Selatan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The COVID-19 virus is very dangerous. In addition to attacking the lungs, this virus can also attack the heart directly. The relationship between heart health and COVID-19 occurs because blood vessel clots in COVID-19 patients increase the risk of blood vessel disorders and make the heart work harder. Therefore, researchers designed a heart rate monitoring device. This tool serves to maintain heart health and oxygen levels in the patient's blood and can also monitor people under COVID surveillance. The formulation of the problem from this research is how to design an IoT system to monitor COVID-19 patients through heart rate and location and how it performs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the device and design a tool to measure heart rate and blood oxygen levels through the IoT system and GPS location so that doctors can access heart rate data from any location. This research method uses a Gy-MAX30100 sensor, Wemos, and a GPS module. Of the 2 data samples that have been tested, the highest heart rate value is 78 bpm, the lowest is 76 bpm, and the highest oxygen level is 95 mmHg and the lowest is 93 mmHg. So in conclusion, this tool can make it easier for doctors to get important information about the condition of patients or people under observation that can be accessed by doctors anywhere and anytime via the internet.

Abstract

The Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) is an assistance in the form of cash from the government given to students whose parents are less able to finance their education, as a continuation and expansion of the targets of the Poor Student Assistance (BSM) program. KIP has a goal, namely to increase access for children aged 6 (six) to 21 (twenty-one years) to obtain educational services until they graduate from high school to support the implementation of Universal Secondary Education / Pilot Compulsory Education 12 (twelve) years, prevent students from the possibility of dropping out of school or not continuing their education due to economic difficulties. The KIP-Kuliah, formerly known as Bidikmisi, is presently in service. They may find it difficult to determine who is a qualified candidate to become a recommendation for KIP-Kuliah recipients who will be presented to the system since many variables and assessments will be passed in determining the prospective KIP-Kuliah recipients. Therefore, from this problem, a system is needed that can quickly and accurately assess the eligibility of KIP-Lecture recipients without having to sort out the files that have been collected one by one. As a result, it is deemed necessary to develop a decision-making system to address the existing issues. The steps of research that will be carried out to create a decision support system will collect criteria and sub-criteria from the assessment and then enter them into the calculation formula or method employed, namely the AHP method.

Abstract

Security is a state in which people or things feel safe from ominous or unsettling hazards, which will then cause them to feel at ease and comfortable. There are many ways to achieve security, one of which is via utilizing and deploying technology. The use of security technology has advanced quickly in recent years, from low-tech to high-tech techniques. By using Arduino as a circuit controller to process input from a vibrating sensor and 4x4 keypad, output to a solenoid as a charity box lock, and a buzzer that serves as an alarm in case of theft, technological or automated methods can reduce charity box theft and also increase the security of charity box locks. The charity box security system tool is made to prevent the theft of charity boxes, which frequently happens in mosques. If someone tries to steal the charity box, an alarm will go off, and you need a pin that has been programmed on an Arduino Ide and stored in EEPROM to open the charity box cover, so this tool can stop charity box theft in mosques.

Abstract

Vegetables are food ingredients that are very high in nutritional content. Good vegetables are vegetables that grow optimally which are influenced by several factors, one of which is the temperature of the soil moisture and optimal growth of vegetable seeds must be planted in a place suitable for vegetable seeds. A soil moisture temperature measuring device was designed to help determine the vegetable seeds that will be planted in a place. The tool is designed using a Capacitive Soil Moisture sensor and a 16x2 LCD Display is used to display the name of the seed and soil moisture. From the results of the measurement data, it is known how much the soil moisture temperature is in the measured place so that it can help in determining the vegetable seeds to be planted.

Abstract

Tree health monitoring is essential to ensure environmental safety, sustainability, and the prevention of hazards caused by structurally weakened trees. Visual inspection alone is often insufficient to detect internal defects such as decay or reduced mechanical strength within tree trunks. This study presents the design and implementation of TreeRTTSys, a low-cost sensor-based system for evaluating tree trunk quality using strain gauge and load cell sensors integrated with an Arduino microcontroller. The proposed system aims to measure tensile force characteristics of tree trunks as an indicator of structural integrity and mechanical performance. The experimental method was employed by conducting tensile tests on five different types of tree trunks, namely Meranti, Beringin, Rambutan, Durian, and Kapok. A load cell sensor combined with an HX711 signal conditioning module was used to acquire force data, which were processed and recorded in real time by an Arduino-based data acquisition system. The applied tensile load and resistance duration were analyzed to evaluate the strength and deformation behavior of each wood type. The results show significant variation in tensile strength and load resistance among the tested tree species. Meranti wood exhibited the highest tensile strength of 11.13 kN and the longest resistance time of 151 seconds, indicating superior load-bearing capacity and stability. Rambutan wood demonstrated high ductility, sustaining tensile loading for 149 seconds despite a lower maximum force. In contrast, Kapok and Durian woods showed relatively low tensile resistance and shorter failure durations.These findings confirm that the proposed TreeRTTSys is capable of accurately capturing the mechanical behavior of tree trunks in real time. The system offers a reliable, cost-effective solution for tree health assessment, with potential applications in urban forestry management, environmental monitoring, and preventive safety inspections.
