Abstract

Financial deepening is a term used to measure the quality of improvement in the provision of financial services. Financial deepening can be seen as one of the factors affecting income inequality. The focus of financial deepening in this research using a credit ratio is a ratio of total credit released by commercial banks in each province compared to the province’s GDP and the bank ratio is the ratio of the number of bank branches per million population of the province. The discussion of this research is limited to using country data from 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2005-2021. The results show that the various indicators that measure financial deepening have an impact on increasing inequality during the observation period. This condition shows that financial services, especially banking access through the ratio of the number of banks and also the development of the credit ratio, have not been able to reduce income inequality. The government needs to evaluate policies and improve the quality of sustainable financial services to achieve a more even distribution of income so that income inequality can be reduced.

Abstract

Home is a basic human need. In the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No.1 of 2011 states that housing or access to housing is a right for every community whose existence is the responsibility of the government. The problem that has occurred to this day is that there are still many people living in urban areas who have to occupy illegal or slum settlements. This is due, among other things, to the influence of land and housing prices which increase each year due to high demand which is also caused by the increasing population and urbanization rate. However, in reality the capitalists who control the housing sector are only fixated on capital accumulation by building and marketing homes to middle and high income people. As a result, low-income communities are marginalized in the suburbs, and build non-conventional settlements, slums and squatter. This study with the literature study method aims to analyze how to provide a home for low-income people in the dialectic of capitalism, by making the MBR as an important actor in the construction and provision of housing

Abstract

The focus of this empirical research is the urge to analyze consumer behavioral intentions in purchasing sustainable thrifting products. In this study, the implementation of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) focused on measuring how three variables—Green Apparel Knowledge, Social Impressions, and Fashion Orientation—influence the TPB framework: Attitudes, Subjective Norms, and Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC). The sample in the research was 351 consumers of thrifting products in Palembang City using the Stratified Random Sampling method. Data analysis in this study used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The research results show that there is a significant positive relationship between Green Attitudes and Knowledge of Green Clothing and Social Impression. Fashion Orientation has a significant positive relationship with Green Attitude. There is a positive effect between the behavioral intention to use sustainable thrifting clothing and the theory of planned behavior variables, such as green attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor in economic production, offering solutions in the context of high unemployment rates and limited job opportunities. Developing an entrepreneurial mindset, particularly from an early age, is imperative. This study explores the gradual and strategic nurturing of entrepreneurial spirit, acknowledging that it is a process that unfolds over time, rather than an immediate outcome. In Palembang City, a range of kindergartens serve as fertile grounds for this developmental endeavor. This research focuses on 'Market Day' activities, employed as both a strategy and a pedagogical tool, to stimulate entrepreneurial potentials in early childhood. The effectiveness and impact of these activities on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young learners are examined, providing insights into early entrepreneurial education methodologies
