Abstract

Motor vehicle tax payments represent a substantial portion of regional income. However, recurrent delays in motorbike tax payments, notably in the Kandang Limun sub-district of Bengkulu City, pose a significant threat to regional development. This research aims to address these delays by predicting and implementing effective strategies. Using the RapidMiner application and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method, a delay rate of 36.14% was predicted. The study incorporates interviews to propose several strategies, including enhancing websites, improving offline and online services, implementing Drivethru services, and using SMS Blast notifications to combat delays. To evaluate the feasibility of these strategies, the research employs the Strategy Alignment Maturity Model (SAMM). The assessment at BPKD reveals a maturity level of 4, signifying an ability to improve and manage processes effectively. The maturity assessment suggests that the proposed strategies for overcoming delays are well-aligned with BPKD's capabilities. They have demonstrated a robust alignment between IT and business strategies, leveraging IT to enhance performance, and conducting thorough business and IT evaluations. In addition to the maturity assessment, the research offers suggestions and evaluation strategies. These encompass the adoption of biometrics for authentication, implementation of chatbots, Samsat self-service kiosks, real-time vehicle monitoring, and the introduction of automatic tax programs.

Abstract There are various ways to organize exams at the higher education level. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the online examination method has become widely used. Although online exams can be held anywhere and anytime, unfortunately, many violations and fraud exist, such as leaking exam questions, spreading answer keys illegally, and changing exam result data. One solution for maintaining the integrity of online-based exam results is to encrypt exam data with cryptographic methods. This study proposes applying several cryptographic methods to secure and ensure the authenticity of online exam data using AES 256 CBC, Base 64, and SHA 256 algorithms. This research resulted in a website-based online exam application built using MERN Stack technology. The test results in validating online exam data that has been encrypted using the system and OpenSSL show the same hash value. This shows that the system has been able to encrypt, decrypt, and validate online exam data effectively.

Abstract

The University of Bengkulu administers college entrance exams, however some test takers still require assistance in locating the correct room, despite the building being marked. It is crucial to avoid errors in finding the right test room, as it can cause potential students to waste valuable time. Therefore, a more precise and practical solution is necessary to provide information on test locations. This study designs a location-based virtual tour that offers a 360-degree view, providing information on the location of each building and the conditions inside and outside each test room. The virtual tour encompasses 81 buildings, including test rooms, with 28 to 32 images captured at each location, then stitched together using image stitching techniques. The goal of the virtual tour is to create a comprehensive view of the test location and provide more detailed information on the room's condition. Furthermore, the usability of this virtual tour was tested on 140 high school students as potential test participants, utilizing the System Usability Scale (SUS) to evaluate its effectiveness, resulting in a score of 72.19. In other words, the virtual tour was found to be an effective tool in helping users understand the test location.

Abstract

Roguelike is a genre of role-playing video game in which the player explores dungeons through procedurally generated levels. If they lose, the player loses progress, and the character starts over again. Procedural Content Generation (PCG) is a computer program that can create game content automatically, randomly, and uniquely, either by itself or with human assistance. In this study, the 3D roguelike game was designed with players playing a character to explore dungeons. Players will enter at one point, explore the surrounding environment, defeat the enemies encountered, avoid traps, collect treasure, and finally exit at another point. Each time the player starts a new game session, the game will generate a dungeon with a mission structure that changes randomly to create a variety of gameplay. This mission generation is implemented using the Graph Grammar method. The game is built using the Unity game engine and is intended to run on Android devices. Based on the black box test results, all the game's features are running well according to their functions. The built games will be evaluated using the GUESS-18 to determine the level of player satisfaction. Based on the evaluation results, the game is included in the "GOOD" category, with an overall score of 49.07 out of 63 maximum scores. The game that has been built is superior in the aspect of personal gratification, while it is weak in the aspect of social connectivity.

Abstract

Forest fires are still one of the most common problems in Indonesia. In fact, many of these forest fires origin from human activities, namely fires that are intentionally raised for a purpose such as widening the land to prepare for the planting season in the Nusa Tenggara Island. Forest fire events can be identified by observing hotspot data which are monitored through remote sensing satellites. Hotspot is an area that has a relatively higher surface temperature than the surrounding area based on certain temperature thresholds monitored by remote sensing satellites. The objective of this research is to cluster hotspots in the Nusa Tenggara and Bali Islands from year 2013 to 2018 using the K-Means Clustering Method with 28,519 hot spot data. By knowing this result, the ministry can use this data for patrol priority management. This research successfully clustered three types of hotspot classes based on the risk of fire with details as follow; High Risk Class contains 12,212 data with ranges of mean values of confidence in the range of 49.3–100%, brightness in the range of 305.1–421.3o K and FRP in the range of 2.5–714.3; Medium Risk contains 12,250 data mean values of confidence with a range of 20.3–74.3%, brightness in the range of 301.06–341.86o K and FRP in the range of 3.6–141.4; and Low Risk contains 4,057 data with a range of mean values of confidence in the range of 0–39.8%, brightness in the range of 300–365.86oK and FRP in the range of 3.5–275.6.

Abstract

In 2007, Bengkulu city, Indonesia and its surrounding areas experienced a significant earthquake with a magnitude of 8.6 Mw, resulting in extensive damage. Between 2014 and 2022, Bengkulu Province encountered a total of 3469 earthquakes, signifying a heightened frequency of seismic activity in the region. This escalated seismic activity in Bengkulu elicits concerns regarding potential ground surface deformation. To address this, the study utilized DInSAR (Differential Interferometry SAR) technology, employing a blend of satellite images to quantify land surface deformation. Notably, the research made use of three pairs of satellite images for analysis. One pair of ALOS-PALSAR images dated between January 29 and September 16, 2007, was employed to investigate ground surface deformation following the September 12, 2007 earthquake. Additionally, observations were made using two pairs of Sentinel-1 satellite images covering periods from November 3 to 27, 2014, and from June 30 to July 24, 2022, to monitor land surface deformation resulting from earthquakes on November 10, 2014 and July 20, 2022. The study findings depicted uplift deformation reaching 53.4 mm and the highest subsidence measuring -12.8 mm in the ALOS-PALSAR image pair. In the Sentinel-1 image pair between November 3 and 27, 2014, the most notable observed uplift amounted to 38.9 mm, while the greatest subsidence was recorded at -34.8 mm. Lastly, the image pair dated between June 30 and July 24, 2022, exclusively exhibited uplift, with values peaking at 45.2 mm.
