Abstract

Early menarche is a reproductive health problem in Asian countries, including Indonesia. The age of menarche should be 13-14 years old but the age of menarche in Indonesia is 9 years old, increasing every year 0.145. Unreadiness age will affect mental readiness in facing menarche. The study aimed to determine the effect of educational media on the knowledge and attitudes of female students about menarche at SDN Kedungmaling Sooko Mojokerto Regency. This study used quantitative type with quasi experimental method in pretest-posttest design. The sample size was 43 with a total population of 60. The data collected by used questionnaire and then analyzed by using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the Wilcoxon test stated that there were changes in knowledge (p value = 0.000 <0.005) and attitudes (p value = 0.000 <0.005) before and after the snowball game intervention. Snowball game educational media is effective for school-age children, based on the results of the crosstab there was a change in knowledge from poor to good (70%) Children learning style has a character that involves the senses of hearing, vision, good concentration and collaboration of locomotif so that snowball games are appropriate for children. Students are expected to more to seek information about menarche, so that it could be have a good impact on readiness to face menarche.

Abstract

The immunization program is included in efforts to reduce morbidity, disability and mortality in infants and toddlers. The achievement of complete immunization still has not reached the target. A number of factors are known to influence the low coverage of complete basic immunization. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the completeness of basic immunization in infants in the working area of the Mojokerto District Health Office. This study used a case control approach, with the population in this study were all mothers of infants in the Mojokerto District Health Office Work Area totaling 16,019 people. The sample in this study was 96 mothers of infants who had met the inclusion criteria. data were collected by questionnaire and then analyzed using logistic regression test. The results showed that there was an effect of mother's education level (p value = 0.000), mother's knowledge (p value = 0.000), and family support (p value = 0.000) on the completeness of basic immunization in infants in the working area of the Mojokerto District Health Office, and there was no effect of mother's employment status (p value = 0.285), number of children (p value = 0.885), and distance and affordability of immunization services (p value = 0.947) on the completeness of basic immunization in infants in the working area of the Mojokerto District Health Office. The positive effect of education level, knowledge and family support explains that the higher the education, the better the knowledge and family support, the higher the mother's motivation to immunize her child. Given the importance of the influence of family support on the completeness of immunization in infants, it is very important to involve the role of families in the toddler family development program so that families participate in supporting the implementation of immunization in infants.

Abstract

Background : Maternal health in disaster-prone areas is crucial and requires support. The development of digital information systems for maternal health monitoring has been extensively pursued. However, those focused on maternal companions as primary supporters have been limited, particularly in disaster-prone areas. Therefore, it is deemed urgent to develop a digital program to empower families of pregnant and postpartum women through SIMAMIK Objective : This study aims to examine the influence of the SIMAMIK application by maternal companions on the family support felt by mothers, and the happiness of mothers during pregnancy and postpartum in disaster-prone areas Research Methods/ Implementation Methods : The research design used was a time series study, involving a population of all companions of pregnant and postpartum mothers and their companions located within the disaster zone of Mojokerto Regency, with a total population of 16,707. The companions used could be husbands or close family members who accompany the mothers daily. A sample of 108 people was taken using a cluster random sampling system. Data on family support, and maternal well-being were collected through observation and interviews using a questionnaire. The data were then analyzed using Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) and Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM). Results : The study’s results showed a significant change in family support following the use of SIMAMIK (p-value = 0.001). In the status of maternal happiness, there was a significant difference (p-value = 0.003). SIMAMIK proved to be the most influential in terms of family support. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : SIMAMIK is effective in increasing family attention to pregnant women, providing more regular health reports, and thus making mothers happier. Organized use of SIMAMIK should be a top priority for health facilitators to support maternal health and screen for pregnancy and postpartum complications, which can prevent maternal death
