Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the type of dominant defect that occurs in one of the Cover 655B products, knowing the factors that cause the product to occur in the product, and provide proposed improvements on how to improve the quality of Cover 655B products that currently still occur frequently in the span of three months, namely in November 2021 to January 2022. The problem approach contained in this study is to use the Pareto Diagram tool, as well as data processing and proposed improvements using the Failure Mode and Analysis (FMEA) method. Priority improvement based on the largest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value is in the engine parameter setting activity is not in accordance with the standard setting, and the mold cooling system does not work properly with an RPN value of 27, the proposed improvement is that the operator must often check the engine setting parameters with actual parameter setting conditions, and the operator must also ssering Check flow in-out cooling system, and check the part or mold in the production process

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is a businesses that are growing rapidly with intense competition. In order for industrial activities to run effectively and efficiently, problems in the production process need to be considered. The solution to handle it is to do the right management of procurement. The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison between the total cost of raw material inventory using the policy of PT. XYZ and using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, so the company can choose which method is more effective to implement. This research is a quantitative research and the data collection technique is by conducting literature studies, interviews and direct observation. The research results obtained from this study are calculations using the EOQ method which have more optimal results compared to the policies implemented by PT. XYZ. This is evidenced by the frequency of orders using the EOQ method which is less than 6 times, with a difference of 3 times compared to the current policy. In addition, the cost of inventory is also less, amounting to Rp.6.001,685 with a difference of Rp.541.267 compared to the policies implemented in the company.

Abstract

To overcome quality problems regarding product defects that occur in the company, it is necessary to do an analysis related to the problems that occur and it is necessary to plan improvements to reduce consumer returns. This study aims to analyze and plan improvement plans using the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method using Seven Tools. The Seven Tools used consist of a check sheet, run chart, histogram, scatter diagram, Pareto diagram, cause and effect diagram (fishbone diagram), and control chart. The research was conducted using the interview method with the parties involved with the object and problem. The research data taken is the company's historical data in 2020. The results show that product defects can be caused by various factors such as humans, machines, climate or weather and storage methods. The criteria for defects that often occur in the company are damaged products due to fractures, rusty products, and product sizes that do not match. It can be seen from the criteria for these defects, improvements that can be made are by providing suggestions to overcome the problem so as to reduce the returns that occur in the company.

Abstract

AbstractDistribution of products from the company's warehouse PT. MMM to consumers so far the company only uses estimates of consumers which will be passed in one shipment only by looking at the number of requests without considering the shipping routes and distance from the warehouse to the location of the consumer. This study aims to determine an effective shipping route using the saving matrix and nearest neighbor methods then find out distance savings and transportation cost savings. Comparison of the product distribution routes of PT. MMM after using the saving matrix method and the nearest neighbor method results in an effective and efficient route where the initial distribution route is 40 routes into 7 routes for 7 days of product distribution to consumers. The saving matrix method is applied. shows a reduction in the distance of the original shipment of 1,673.6 Km to 810.7 Km, thus obtained a savings of a distance of 862.9 Km. As well as a significant reduction in transportation costs where the initial cost of transportation of Rp. 4,478,448.- dropped to Rp. 3,675,951.-, so the company can save on transportation costs by Rp. 802,497.-.AbstrakRute pendistribusian produk dari gudang perusahaan PT. MMM  ke para konsumen  selama ini perusahaan hanya menggunakan perkiraan konsumen mana yang akan dilalui dalam satu kali pengiriman, yaitu hanya dengan melihat jumlah permintaan tanpa mempertimbangkan rute pengiriman dan jarak tempuh dari gudang ke lokasi konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan rute pengiriman yang efektif menggunakan metode saving matrix dan nearest neighbor, kemudian mengetahui penghematan jarak serta penghematan biaya transportasi. Perbandingan rute distribusi produk PT. MMM dengan menggunakan metode saving matrix dan metode nearest neighbor menghasilkan rute yang efektif dan efisien dimana rute awal distribusi sebanyak 40 rute menjadi 7 rute untuk 7 hari pendistribusian produk ke konsumen. Dengan diterapkannya metode saving matrix menunjukan penurunan jarak tempuh pengiriman yang semula 1.673,6 Km menjadi 810,7 Km, dengan demikian didapatkan penghematan jarak sebesar 862,9 Km. Serta menurunkan biaya transportasi yang signifikan dimana biaya awal transportasi sebesar Rp. 4.478.448.- turun menjadi Rp. 3.675.951.-, sehingga perusahaan dapat menghemat biaya transportasi sebesar Rp. 802.497

Abstract

The number of laying hens' egg production in 2022 amounts to around 500,000 eggs, causing an increase in egg shell waste. There are still many people, especially for residents of Kutamekar Village, Ciampel District, who lack knowledge about the many benefits of eggshell waste for agricultural land, it is the responsibility of students to carry out counseling and application. In KKN activities, students use to disseminate information about the use of organic fertilizer from eggshell waste for agricultural land, with one of the activities being the application of organic fertilizer from eggshell waste to pakcoy plants. After attending the counseling, the residents of Kutamekar village learned about the content and benefits of egg shells and they started collecting egg shells to help carry out KKN activities. This can help reduce regional waste, especially eggshell waste, which can be recycled into more useful and economical materials.

Abstract

Intense competition between industries in the current era of globalization makes PT XYZ to be competitive at all times. Product quality is the main factor in competing. This study aims to look at quality control in the company and efforts to minimize product rejects using the basic seven-tool method. Several basic seven tools were used in this research to assist in data analysis. In the Pareto diagram, it can be seen that the thinning defect is the main defect in the low quality of tray products, with a percentage of 28.03%. In addition, the results of the p-control chart also show that there is still a lack of quality control in the company. A fishbone diagram is used to analyze the root cause of the problem. Suggestions for improvement that can be given for each problem that causes product rejects are to provide standardization in the production process so that the product produced is in accordance with the standards that have been set

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of K3 using the Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) method in increasing work productivity at UMKM XYZ. The research was conducted using the Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) method on several work accidents that occurred at UMKM XYZ for a certain period of time and analyzed based on data on the number of work accidents. Primary data collection was carried out by the observation method and secondary data collection by the literature method. In this study, measurements were made by taking into account likelihood and consequence, and then using a risk matrix. That is assessing the existing risk (risk assessment) by defining the criteria for likelihood and consequences (severity). The likelihood criterion used is the frequency which is calculated quantitatively according to company data or records over a certain period of time. Consequences (severity) criteria used are the consequences that workers will receive which are defined qualitatively and take into account the lost working days. So from the results of the study informed that work accidents affect work productivity.

Abstract

PT. XYZ, which is a company that operates in the plastic injection industry, has a machine that operates for a long time and causes a decrease in the performance of the machine. The Body Koito K11A machine is one of the machines that has a long operational time in a day so maintenance activities are needed to avoid damage to the machine. Total Productive Maintenance is a method used to identify problems in machine maintenance using Overall Equipment Effectiveness. The OEE calculation considers 3 aspects, namely availability, performance and quality. With the OEE, the analysis of maintenance on the machine PT. XYZ can be assessed the root of the problem. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the OEE value on the PT. XYZ.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the level of process capability in the production process of defective products in product X. The method used is the Six Sigma approach with the DMAIC concept (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control). The tools used are CTQ, SIPOC Diagram, Pareto Diagram, Fishbone Diagram and Five M Checklist. From the results of data processing, the DPMO value is 439.83 which means that in one million opportunities there are 439.83 possibilities of the resulting product will experience defects. Product X has a sigma level of 4.8 with the largest percentage of defects found in the Weld Line (39.7%), NG Initial Setting (27.56) and Short Mold (13.82%). After analyzing, it can be concluded that the causes of disability are human factors, methods, machines and materials. Then suggestions for improvement from the causes that have been determined on the Fishbone diagram are given using the Five M Checklist tools. And finally, the Control stage is carried out which focuses on documenting and disseminating information on the corrective actions that have been proposed previously.

Abstract

Gas cylinder 3 Kg is one of the elements that is quite important to meet Indonesia's food needs, especially in the use of gas stoves for cooking. This study aims to solve the problem of the cost of shipping 3 Kg gas cylinders at PT. Gemilang Putra Sejati as a gas cylinder distributor company in the Bekasi Regency area. The gas cylinders are stored in warehouses located in 3 sub-districts, namely West Cikarang, Setu and Cibitung, which will be distributed to 5 main agents. Delivery of gas cylinders uses land transportation in the form of 3-wheeled pick-up motors. Shipping costs are calculated based on the total distance from the warehouse to the agent using 3 transportation models, namely the NWC, Least Cost, and VAM methods. The results of the calculation of distribution costs using the NWC method are Rp. 41,760, Least Cost method of Rp. 34,400, and the VAM method of Rp. 33,990. Furthermore, the VAM method is carried out with the final solution using the Stepping Stone method with the result of Rp. 30,090. Then the VAM method can be applied to the companies.
