Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to improve the ability of teachers at SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar in managing online classes by providing online class management training based on the Google Classroom and Edpuzzle applications. The method of implementing this activity is lecture, practice, and discussion. Lectures were conducted to deliver material on the stages of classroom management using Google Classroom and using videos on Edpuzzle. The participants of this activity were all teachers of SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar totaling 40 people. For online class management, participants were given training in class management and grades, using forums, and making materials and quizzes. For the use of videos as learning materials, participants were training in choosing videos, editing videos, inserting messages and questions as well as multiple choices. The results of this service activity are as many as 72,5% of participants have been able to manage online classes and integrate with Edpuzzle. Partners have also agreed to use Google Classroom and Edpuzzle for learning for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan dan keterampilan penyusunan laporan keuangan berbasis digital siswa di SMAK Santo Yoseph Denpasar melalui program pelatihan yang mendukung Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dalam bidang kewirausahaan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi lapangan, ditemukan bahwa siswa menghadapi beberapa kendala utama, yaitu kesulitan memahami dan menerapkan konsep dasar literasi keuangan, minimnya pengetahuan tentang pengelolaan usaha, dan kurangnya keterampilan digital dasar. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, tim dosen Universitas Primakara menyusun program kelas kewirahusaan melalui Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang literasi keuangan, manajemen uang, investasi, pengelolaan utang, serta keterampilan teknis dalam penyusunan laporan keuangan berbasis digital. Pelatihan ini juga mencakup aspek manajemen keuangan usaha, seperti penyusunan anggaran, perencanaan keuangan, dan konsep investasi, untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan yang relevan untuk masa depan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa program ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam literasi keuangan dan penyusunan laporan keuangan digital. Siswa mampu menggunakan teknologi digital secara efektif dalam pengelolaan keuangan dan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan manajemen usaha. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model untuk pengembangan keterampilan technopreneurship di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah, membantu mereka siap menghadapi tantangan di dunia usaha yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

English proficiency is an essential skill in the professional world, facilitating access to global information and career advancement. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE, 2024) identifies communication skills as a key component of employability. However, many Indonesian students, including those at a technology-based university in Bali, struggle with low confidence in speaking English. The previous study found that factors such as fear of making mistakes, lack of speaking practice, limited vocabulary, and negative past experiences contribute to this challenge (Dewi, 2024). This study examines the effectiveness of the “A Day Out with a Foreigner” program, which applies Project-Based Learning (PBL) based on Experiential Learning Theory (ELT) to enhance students’ confidence in speaking English. A quantitative associative research design was employed, with data collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The sample consisted of 79 students, selected from a population of 90 using random sampling based on the Henry King Nomogram. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test, a non-parametric inferential statistical method. The results indicate a strong positive correlation between pre-test and post-test scores (Rs = 0.862), demonstrating that the program effectively boosts students’ confidence in spoken English.
