Abstract

Diperkirakan sebanyak 40.000-70.000 anak menjadi korban eksploitasi seks dan sekitar 100.000 anak diperdagangkan tiap tahun, hal ini merupakan bukti nyata kurangnya pengetahuan anak mengenai pendidikan seks yang seharusnya sudah mereka peroleh dari tahun pertama oleh caregivernya, dalam hal ini ibu. Memasuki usia 1-2 tahun, kemampuan berbicara, keingintahuan, serta kemampuan mengingat mulai meningkat dan cukup baik. Saat inilah yang tepat untuk terus menambah kosakata dan mengasah kemampuan anak dalam mengingat dan berbicara, dengan cara mulai mengenalkan bagian tubuh seperti rambut, hidung, lutut, tumit, dan sebagainya. Autisme merupakan suatu istilah yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan suatu jenis gangguan pervasive pada anak yang mengakibatkan gangguan atau keterlambatan pada bidang kognitif, bahasa, perilaku, komunikasi dan interaksi sosial. Memberikan pendidikan dan pemahaman merupakan tantangan sendiri bagi caregiver. Penelitian ini menggambarkan bagaimana peran yang dijalankan dan ditampilkan oleh caregiver (ibu) individu autis dalam memperkenalkan anggota tubuh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dengan observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada caregiver dari individu autis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran caregiver (ibu) yang maksimal menghasilkan perilaku individu autis yang mandiri. Mandiri dalam hal memahami anggota tubuh, menjaga kebersihan anggota tubuh dan memahami anggota tubuh yang boleh disentuh dan tidak boleh disentuh.

Abstract

Keterbatasan dan kesulitan pemerolehan bahasa oleh individu autis adalah masalah utama bagi orang tua dan praktisi serta akademisi pendidikan. Metode dan teknik pengajaran dan pembelajaran dikembangkan dan dimodifikasi sehingga kemampuan mereka untuk merespons dan berbahasa meningkat. Indikator perkembangan individu autis dilihat dari perkembangan kemampuan merespon dan berbicara, hal itu dapat didukung oleh media interaktif talking photo. Talking photo adalah media interaktif yang dapat menyimpan dan menghasilkan suara. Media ini dapat mendukung pengajaran untuk memperkenalkan kosakata bahasa Inggris dasar kepada individu autisme. Kosakata bahasa Inggris dasar dalam penelitian ini adalah anggota tubuh dan aktivitas yang biasa individu autis lakukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan penerapan talking photo dalam pemerolehan kosa kata Bahasa Inggris Dasar kepada individu dengan autisme. 5 individu autis pra-sekolah dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini, mereka dipaparkan secara intensif selama satu bulan 10  kosakata bahasa Inggris dasar tentang anggota tubuh dan kegiatan sehari-hari. Hasil yang diperoleh, dari masing-masing dari 10 kosakata, rata-rata 5 kosakata yang mereka dapat melafalkan baik itu anggota tubuh dan aktifitas sehari -hari. Perkembangan kemajuan individu autistik terjadi karena integrasi stimulus dan dukungan keluarga dan praktisi pendidikan, serta media sebagai sarana mempercepat pencapaian kemajuan.

Abstract

Reading can be characterized as a “conceptual process”, a tool for thinking and a problem solving process. As a reader, they try to discover what the author means while, at the same time, they build meaning for themselves. They use their own language, their own thoughts, and they own view of the world to interpret what the author has written. These interpretations are limited by what their known. When authors create, they project their language, their thoughts, and their meanings into producing text. Their creations are limited by what they know. Because of obvious differences between the language, thoughts, and authors’ meaning. Reading can never be an exact process. Because the reader’s own language and thought become involved through interaction with the language and thought of the author, readers can never be certain that they have discovered the meaning the authors’ write. However, since readers are compelled to understand what they are reading, they interpret actively while reading in order to gain meaning, which is their ultimate goal.The purpose of this research is to know is there any significant effect of students’ reading process strategies and students’ motivation on reading English text achievement at students first grade semester. This study was quantitative research, 80 students were chosen as a sample with simple random sampling technique. The questionnaires and reading test were distributed to gather the data, and they were analyzed quantitatively.The results of data analysis show that there is an effect of students’ reading learning process strategies and students’ motivation simultaneously on their reading English text achievement at students’ first grade semester. It is proven from the results of statistical calculation that Fobs(132.407) >Ftab(3.33).In conclusion, this study found that reading learning process strategies and motivation used by students positively influenced students’ reading English text competency achievement. In line with this conclusion, the writers suggest that the teacher had positive and motivating attitudes.

Abstract

It is estimated that around 40,000-70,000 children become victims of sexual exploitation and about 100,000 children are trafficked each year. It clearly proves the children’s lack of knowledge about sex education they should have gained in their first year from their caregivers, in this case their mothers. Entering the age of 1-2, children’s curiosity and ability to speak and to remember begin to increase quite well. This is the right time to continuously enrich their vocabularies and hone their ability to remember and speak by introducing body parts like hair, nose, knees, heels, and so on. Autism is a term used to describe a type of pervasive disorder in a child resulting in a disturbance or delay in cognition, language, behavior, communication and social interaction. Providing education and understanding is a special challenge for caregivers. This study illustrates how the role performed and displayed by the caregiver (mother) of autistic individuals in introducing the parts of body. The method used in the study is a qualitative method with case study approach by conducting observation and interview with the caregiver of autistic children. The result of the study indicates that the full role of caregiver (mother) produces autistic children with independent behavior. They can understand their body parts, maintain the hygiene of body parts and understand what body parts that may be touched and not

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the process of interpreting the book Halo Balita with activities and learning programs to build religious characters in preschool children. This research used qualitative methods, data was collected by using observation and interview with 5 primary subject preschool children, and 35 secondary subjects of parents. Data was analyzed by NVivo 12 Plus application to explore religious beliefs, worships, religious knowledge and experiences. The result of this study describes the book Halo Balita can help create and built religious characters of preschool children through activites before, during and after using the book Halo Balita with daily activities, that is when conducting activities inside and outside the classroom, as well as activites undertaken in the family and community environment so that it becomes more independent, caring, honest, and has beliefs related to understanding the creed.

Abstract

English has become the second language after Indonesian. This situation is used by education practitioners by incorporating English into their curriculum programs, for parents, English can affect children's competitiveness. Teaching and introducing English to autistic individuals is not easy. Talking photo is a learning media that is essay to apply because it can designed by the parents themselves and the contents can be adjusted to the needs. This research was conducted with qualitative methods describing the application of talking photo in introducing English. Respondents in this study were 3 autistic individuals of pre-school age, not yet exposed to English at all and did not enter the world of education or school. English in this study is vocabulary about parts of body and activities. The results obtained after two months of intensive exposure, respondent one could pronounce and respond to 7 parts of body vocabulary words and 4 activities vocabulary; second is able to pronounce and respond to 5 parts of body vocabulary words and 5 activities vocabulary and third is able to pronounce and respond to 3 parts of body and 3 activities vocabulary. Progress of autistic individuals occurs because of the integration of stimulus and family support.Keywords: Autistic Individual, English, Talking Photo

Abstract

This study aims to determine the knowledge of parents about early childhood English learning methods. The approach in this study uses qualitative using interview methods. the results of the study showed that of the 40 parents interviewed, 38 parents could mention the method used in learning English in early childhood while 2 parents could not mention an appropriate method for learning English in early childhood. methods that fit the characteristics and development of early childhood are conversation, playing, telling stories, singing, using pictures and playing roles.Keywords: early childhood English learning, learning methods, characteristics of early childhood

Abstract

Early literacy for early childhood continues to invite pros and cons. This is what makes parents and educators a dilemma in this study. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview from the point of view of parents and educators on the problem of early childhood literacy. This study invited 6 parents, 6 educators and 1 psychologist to share their point of view through interviews followed by observation for 6 months. Parents are afraid of their children's reading-writing-counting abilities, that is what drives them to include their children in conventional early literacy learning, while educators mix the concepts of playing and conventional as a result of parental demands. Early literacy is not wrongly given to early childhood, what is wrong is the way it is delivered, conveying it with a fun concept, playing while learning. Because basically, children have the right to enjoy their childhood without having to be snatched away by the anxiety of their parents who are their trusted people.

Abstract

Kelurahan Cikokol, Kota Tangerang merupakan salah satu kelurahan yang memiliki gejala stunting yang cukup tinggi bagi para balita. Dalam hal ini posyandu merupakan cara yang digunakan oleh pihak kelurahan dalam rangka pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) dengan dua tahap. Seminar mengenai "Efektivitas Pemberian Makanan Tambahan Dalam Mengatasi Gejala Stunting Pada Anak Usia Dini" diselenggarakan pada tanggal 27 Agustus 2023 dan 3 September 2023 di Aula Kantor Kelurahan Cikokol. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk edukasi tentang gejala stunting, pentingnya MPASI, pemantauan rutin pertumbuhan anak, gizi ibu hamil, dan pengaruh kebiasaan orang tua terhadap stunting anak. Sasaran seminar adalah Kader Posyandu di Kelurahan Cikokol, dengan partisipasi sebanyak 30 peserta. Metode yang digunakan mix method yaitu kuantitatif survey dan deskriptif yaitu dengan memberikan angket kuesioner. Hasil olah data melalui angket menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden setuju dengan pernyataan yang mendukung pentingnya PMT, edukasi tentang gejala stunting, pentingnya MPASI, pemantauan rutin pertumbuhan anak, gizi ibu hamil, dan pengaruh kebiasaan orang tua terhadap stunting anak. Ditemukan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa PMT sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan status gizi balita yang mengalami stunting, dengan perkembangan balita meningkat sebanyak 20% dalam 14 hari tahap pertama. Namun, persentase peningkatan ini tidak signifikan karena beberapa faktor, seperti kebiasaan makan anak yang sulit dan konsumsi jajanan berlebihan, menyebabkan asupan makanan balita menjadi kurang. Oleh karena itu, upaya yang lebih besar dan berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk mengatasi stunting pada anak usia dini di Kelurahan Cikokol salah satunya dengan mengedukasi para kader posyandu untuk lebih memahami gejala dan pemberian gizi optimal bagi anak usia dini melalui kegiatan seminar.

Abstract

Poverty is a social problem that is defined as a situation where a person is unable to maintain himself according to the standard of living of the group and is also unable to utilize his mental and physical energy within the group. This poverty does not just happen. Many factors cause poverty, including (a) individual factors, (b) social factors, and (c) cultural factors. The impact of poverty is clearly felt by many parties, including married women, their situation is very diverse, there are women who are divorced by their husbands, or even left by their husbands, or they have husbands but their husbands do not support them and their families, so they choose to struggle alone to support themselves and their families. This problem must be addressed immediately, how to prepare PRSE to be able to meet the needs of their families, through various empowerment efforts in order to prepare them to become independent women who carry out multiple roles. Based on this phenomenon, educational solutions are needed, including training programs in the form of project Based Learning (PBL) to build women's independence through entrepreneurial skills to improve family welfare in Legok Kidul Village, Paseh District, and Sumedang Regency. The training program was implemented through the stages of identification of needs, coordination of activities, development of program design, program action, and reporting and publication.
