Abstract

The rise of cases of sex exploitation in children is a clear proof of the lack of knowledge of children about sex education that they should have obtained from the first year by their parents. Entering the age of 1-2 years, the ability to speak, curiosity, and the ability to remember began to increase and quite well. Now is the right time to continue adding vocabulary and hone the child's ability to remember and speak, by starting to introduce body parts like hair, nose, knees, heels, and so on. Autism is a term used to describe a type of pervasive disorder in a child that results in a disturbance or delay in cognitive, language, behavioral, communication and social interaction. Providing education and understanding is a challenge for parents themselves. This study illustrates how the roles performed and displayed by individual autistic parents in introducing body parts. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach with observations and interviews conducted to parents of individuals with autism. The results of this study indicate that the maximal parental role produces autistic autonomous individual behavior. Independent in terms of understanding the body parts, maintaining the hygiene of the body parts and understanding the body parts that can be touched and not touched.Keywords: Autistic, Preschool age, Body Parts, Parents

Abstract

Teaching in higher education is generally carried out by involving a series of methods and technologies for learning and research activities. Many studies have been conducted to examine and evaluate the role of technology and the achievement of learning outcomes in higher education. The article analyzed how the role of technological transformation with all its applications has supported research-based learning activities at Sheikh Yusuf University Tangerang. The method used descriptive qualitative design, and the literature review supports us. Through semi-structured interviews, the researchers obtained many data, then analyzed with a phenomenological approach. The researchers examined the data from interviews. Based on the analysis academic interview data, it can be concluded that the results, including understanding the role of technological transformation with several applications that support research-based learning activities at the higher education level, have been carried out well at Sheikh Yusuf University, Tangerang. Thus, it is hoped that these brief findings can be used as supporting data for similar research in the future. Abstract

This article explores the role of information systems in driving social change through education in Indonesia. Adopting a qualitative approach and a case study design, this research investigates how information systems, including online learning platforms and technology-based academic management systems, contribute to improving the efficiency, quality, and accessibility of education. Data were collected through interviews with key stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and students, along with document analysis from selected schools and institutions. The findings reveal that the integration of these technologies has led to enhanced learning outcomes, greater administrative efficiency, and increased student engagement. However, challenges such as digital inequality, insufficient infrastructure, and resistance to change were also identified. The study concludes that while information systems hold significant potential for educational transformation, addressing these challenges is crucial for maximizing their impact. The implications of this research suggest that policy makers and educational leaders should prioritize investments in infrastructure, training, and inclusive strategies to ensure the equitable and effective use of technology in education. This study contributes to the broader understanding of how technological innovations can drive positive social change within educational contexts in developing countries.

Abstract

Grammar appears to be unavoidably challenging for most L2 learners, particularly when it comes to acquiring noun clause. A noun clause is a dependent phrase that functions similarly to a noun. It has been a difficult area for EFL university students at Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang. The purpose of this study was to discover the students' challenges in learning noun clauses and how they dealt with their issues. The chosen participants were 25 students from the Intermediate Grammar Class in 2022. The method of the research was qualitative. The data was collected through doing interview. The data revealed that students had three major difficulties interpreting noun clauses. Recognizing functions, creating noun clauses, and identifying the subject and verb of a noun phrase were all tough. In addition, three strategies were employed by students to overcome learning barriers. They were going through materials, asking peers, looking for information, and exercising on the Internet.

Abstract

Listening comprehension is a crucial skill that significantly affects one's ability to communicate effectively in both professional and social contexts. To enhance students' listening abilities, many educators employ various methods and media, including utilizing YouTube videos from creators like The Wizard Liz. This research employed two types of assessments: a pre-test and a post-test. The study's participants were ninth-grade students from SMPN 1 Sepatan-Tangerang. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Mann-Whitney test, where the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted if the significance value is below 0.05. In the statistical analysis of Students' Listening skill results in the post-test, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.00 < 0.05 is obtained. Based on the data, it can be concluded that "H1 is accepted" and "H0 is rejected." Specifically, "H1 posits that there is a significant difference in students' listening skills when using The Wizard Liz's video compared to not using it," while "H0 suggests that there is no significant difference in students' listening skills between using The Wizard Liz's video and not using it. It can be concluded that the use of The Wizard Liz’s video as a learning medium has an effect on the listening ability of ninth-grade students of SMPN 1 Sepatan-Tangerang. Students teaching and learning activities using The Wizard Liz’s video media found that this media helped students improve their English language skills, especially in improving students' listening skills and helping students acquire new vocabulary.

Abstract

Perundungan di anak usia sekolah dasar merupakan masalah serius yang dapat mengganggu perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan akademik. Meskipun lingkungan sekolah memegang peran penting dalam pencegahan perundungan, peran keluarga juga memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam membentuk perilaku anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kunci keluarga dalam mencegah perundungan pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Melalui analisis literatur yang komprehensif, ditemukan bahwa keluarga memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk sikap, nilai, dan perilaku terkait dengan perundungan. Komunikasi terbuka, model perilaku positif, pengajaran nilai-nilai moral, serta pembentukan ikatan emosional yang kuat antara anggota keluarga merupakan beberapa faktor yang dapat membantu mencegah perilaku perundungan. Orang tua dan anggota keluarga lainnya juga perlu menjadi contoh yang baik bagi dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Pembentukan kepercayaan diri, rasa empati, dan keterampilan sosial yang kuat juga dapat membantu anak mengatasi tekanan dari situasi perundungan. Oleh karena itu, melalui pendidikan keluarga yang terarah dan konsisten, orang tua dapat membantu anak mengembangkan kemampuan agar lebih mampu menghadapi tekanan dan konflik di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya peran keluarga dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan mendukung bagi perkembangan anak usia sekolah dasar secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study examines the use of English slang by Jay and Jake from Enhypen during their guest appearance on Eric Nam’s Daebak Show Podcast. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, it investigates the morphological forms, semantic shifts, and pragmatic-social functions of slang terms used in the podcast. The primary data comes from the episode titled “ENHYPEN’s JAY & JAKE had ‘FATE’ to join Eric Nam | DAEBAK SHOW S3 EP12,” released on August 8th, with a duration of 52 minutes. The analysis focuses on spontaneous, informal English expressions from the idols, revealing how slang terms such as "gotta," "kinda," and "vibe" signal group membership and a sense of belonging among youth and fans. This research demonstrates that slang functions not only as a tool for informal communication but also as a form of emotional expression and a means of establishing social identity and relatability within a global audience. The study emphasizes how slang reflects contemporary youth culture and the impact of media platforms in shaping language use. A total of 12 distinct slang terms were identified, several of which served multiple linguistic functions across three analytical categories, resulting in 14 instances of categorized usage. While the sample is limited to two speakers in a single episode, the focused analysis offers valuable insights into language use among K-Pop idols. This research contributes not only to understanding the role of informal linguistic practices in cross-cultural communication but also offers practical insights for English language teaching (ELT), such as integrating contextualized slang into classroom instruction, as well as for media discourse analysis and studies of global youth identity in digital environments.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of technology integration in differentiated learning on student learning outcomes in elementary school. Using a quantitative experimental design with a pre-test post-test approach, this study involved 120 students of School 231 Sukaasih who were divided into two groups: an experimental group that used technology in differentiated learning and a control group that used traditional methods. Data was collected through pre-test, post-test, and student engagement questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests for group comparison and linear regression to analyze the relationship between student engagement and learning outcomes. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with a higher average post-test score than the control group. In addition, higher student engagement in technology-based learning was positively associated with improved learning outcomes. These findings indicate that the use of technology in differentiated learning can improve students' understanding of the material and increase their engagement in the learning process. The implication of this study is the importance of integrating technology in education to improve the quality of learning, but this requires infrastructure support and training for teachers to maximize its benefits.
