Abstract

Background: In pursuing education, it is not uncommon for students to engage in the habit of self-diagnosing or what is usually called self-diagnosis. This behavior can occur because of the large amount of information about health that students learn during lectures and the high level of curiosity about the symptoms of the disease they are experiencing without any follow-up to visit medical personnel. Often nursing students who engage in this habit experience anxiety. Causes of anxiety include worry about contracting a dangerous disease that could spread to people closest to you. Purpose: To determine the relationship between self-diagnosis behavior and anxiety levels. Method: Quantitative descriptive research with a correlational approach. The variables used in this research are self-diagnosis behavior and anxiety level. This was carried out on all nursing students who were indicated to have carried out self-diagnosis with a sample of 204 students using a sampling technique in the form of proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis used the correlation test with the Chi-square test. Results: Obtained a value of p= <0.001, which means p<α (0.05) of the relationship between self-diagnosing behavior and anxiety levels. There were 161 respondents with a strong self-diagnosis category, 112 respondents (69.6%) experienced mild anxiety and 3 respondents (1.9%). Meanwhile, 46 respondents (28.5%) did not experience anxiety or were in the normal category. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between self-diagnosing behavior and anxiety levels. Suggestion: For students who experience anxiety due to self-diagnosis, it is best to immediately contact health services for a more in-depth examination and other supporting examinations so that they can identify the disease they are experiencing and receive treatment quickly and accurately.   Keywords: Anxiety; Mental Health; Nursing Students; Self Diagnose.   Pendahuluan: Dalam menempuh pendidikan keperawatan tidak jarang mahasiswa melakukan kebiasaan mendiagnosa diri sendiri atau biasa disebut self-diagnose. Perilaku tersebut bisa terjadi karena banyaknya informasi tentang kesehatan yang dipelajari mahasiswa selama perkuliahan dan rasa penasaran yang tinggi terkait gejala penyakit yang sedang dialami tanpa adanya tindak lanjut untuk mengunjungi tenaga medis. Seringkali mahasiswa keperawatan yang melakukan kebiasaan tersebut mengalami kecemasan. Penyebab kecemasan antara lain, khawatir terkena penyakit yang berbahaya dan dapat menular kepada orang terdekatnya. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku self-diagnose dengan tingkat kecemasan. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perilaku self diagnose dan tingkat kecemasan. Dilakukan kepada seluruh mahasiswa keperawatan yang terindikasi melakukan self diagnose dengan sampel berjumlah 204 mahasiswa menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa proportionate stratified random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi dengan uji Chi-square. Hasil: Didapatkan nilai p= <0.001 yang artinya p<α (0.05) hubungan antara perilaku self-diagnose dengan tingkat kecemasan. Responden dengan kategori self diagnose kuat sebanyak 161 responden, sebanyak 112 responden (69.6%) mengalami kecemasan ringan dan sebanyak 3 responden (1.9%). Sedangkan sebanyak 46 responden (28.5%) tidak mengalami kecemasan atau berada pada kategori normal. Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku self-diagnose dengan tingkat kecemasan. Saran: Bagi mahasiswa yang mengalami kecemasan akibat melakukan self diagnose, sebaiknya langsung menghubungi pelayanan kesehatan untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan lebih mendalam dan pemeriksaan penunjang lainnya agar dapat diketahui penyakit yang sedang dialami dan mendapat penanganan secara cepat dan akurat.   Kata Kunci: Kecemasan; Kesehatan Mental; Mahasiswa Keperawatan; Self Diagnose.

Abstract

Background: Emerging adulthood is a period of self-exploration or identity. In this era, individuals build relationships to connect with other people through social media. Dependence on social media has negative impacts, one of which is anxiety. The anxiety disorder that appears is called fear of missing out (FoMO). Symptoms can be seen from dependence on cell phones, tension when not accessing social media, and obsession with what other individuals upload. The impact is a feeling of inferiority. Low self-satisfaction in an individual's life encourages high levels of FoMO and has negative impacts such as decreased academic achievement, difficulty communicating with other people and disrupting developmental stages in the emerging adulthood phase. Purpose: To determine the relationship between self-esteem and fear of missing out (FoMO) in emerging adulthood. Method: Quantitative descriptive with a correlational approach. The sample in this study amounted to 343 respondents with a sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument used was a standard self-esteem questionnaire, namely the Rosernberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) with a validity result of r ≤ 0.30 and a reliability level of 0.889 Cronbach's Alpha, in addition the fear of missing out scale (FoMOS) questionnaire was used with a validity result of r ≤ 0.30 and The reliability level is 0.661 Cronbach's Alpha. Results: The majority of self-esteem levels in emerging adulthood are in the medium category. Obtained p-value <0.001, which means p<α (0.05) indicates a significant relationship between self-esteem and FoMO that occurs in emerging adulthood. Conclusion: There is a significant influence between high self-esteem and low levels of fear of missing out (FoMO) in emerging adulthood. Suggestion: Emerging adulthood who experience high FoMO with low self-esteem can make self-improvement by reducing excessive use of social media to minimize the occurrence of prolonged feelings of low self-esteem.   Keyword: Emerging Adulthood; Fear of Missing Out (FoMO); Self-Esteem.   Pendahuluan: Manusia dewasa awal merupakan masa eksplorasi jati diri atau identitas. Pada masa ini, individu membangun relasi untuk terhubung dengan orang lain melalui media sosial. Ketergantungan terhadap media sosial memberikan dampak negatif, salah satunya adalah kecemasan. Gangguan kecemasan yang muncul disebut fear of missing out (FoMO). Gejalanya dapat terlihat dari ketergantungan akan ponsel, ketegangan saat tidak mengakses media sosial, dan obsesi dengan apa yang diunggah oleh individu lain. Dampak yang ditimbulkan adalah perasaan rendah diri. Rendahnya kepuasan diri dalam hidup individu mendorong tingkat FoMO yang tinggi dan memberikan dampak negatif seperti, prestasi akademik menurun, kesulitan untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang lain dan mengganggu tahap perkembangan pada fase dewasa awal. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan harga diri dengan fear of missing out (FoMO) pada emerging adulthood. Metode: Deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 343 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuesioner baku harga diri yaitu Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) dengan hasil validitas r ≤ 0.30 dan tingkat reabilitas 0.889 Alpha Cronbach’s, selain itu digunakan kuesioner fear of missing out scale (FoMOS) dengan hasil validitas r ≤ 0.30 dan tingkat reabilitas 0.661 Alpha Cronbach’s. Hasil: Tingkat harga diri pada emerging adulthood mayoritas berada pada kategori sedang. Didapatkan p-value <0.001 yang artinya p<α (0.05) menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan FoMO yang terjadi pada emerging adulthood. Simpulan: Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara tingginya nilai harga diri menjadikan rendahnya tingkat fear of missing out (FoMO) pada emerging adulthood. Saran: Emerging adulthood yang mengalami FoMO tinggi dengan harga diri rendah dapat melakukan perbaikan diri dengan mengurangi penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan guna meminimalisir terjadinya perasaan rendah diri yang berkepanjangan.   Kata Kunci: Dewasa Awal; Fear of Missing Out (FoMO); Harga Diri.

Abstract

Divorce is a life event that triggers psychological changes in the self-acceptance of someone who experiences it, especially women. These negative impacts can affect all aspects of life and can disrupt one's identity. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and self-identity in women who have experienced divorce. This type of research is quantitative, with a cross-sectional approach using a correlational design. Sampling used a total sampling technique, totaling 55 respondents. Data were collected using the self-acceptance scale questionnaire and the self-identity questionnaire. The data analysis method used is Spearman's rho correlation statistical test using JASP software. The research results obtained a data value of r = 0.728 with a p-value = 0.001, because the significant value is 0.001 < 0.05, it shows a significant positive relationship between self-acceptance and self-identity. Therefore, the importance of providing psychological and social support shown to increase self-acceptance can have a positive impact on reshaping the self-identity of women who experience divorce.

Abstract

Adolescents with leukemia who undergo chemotherapy have psychological problems caused by the side effects of treatment. Side effects that arise in adolescents with cancer include anxiety, body image disturbances, depression, decreased socialization, and even fear of death. These psychological problems can affect resilience to maintain a resilient attitude in undergoing treatment. One of the protective factors in building resilience is family support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and family support. This type of research is quantitative with a correlational design. The sample used was leukemia adolescents aged 12-18 years who underwent chemotherapy using accidental sampling technique for 1 month, consisting of 37 respondents. The research instrument was the CYRM (child youth resilience measure) questionnaire which amounted to 17 questions and the family support questionnaire amounted to 12 questions. Data were analyzed with the spearman rank test. The results showed a high level of resilience and good family support. The level of strength between variables is low (0.396) with a positive direction, and significant (p value = 0.015). Conclusion: there is a strong, positive, and significant relationship between resilience and family support in leukemia adolescents who are undergoing chemotherapy.

Abstract

The adolescent stage in secondary education in Indonesia is a crucial stage in adolescent development, with curricula more complex than the elementary education stage. High academic challenges and developmental demands can lead to physical and emotional burnout in students. Academic burnout is caused by the length of school hours, too much activity, and too much work. Another factor causing academic burnout is a lack of social support. Social support plays an important role in creating a comfortable, motivated learning environment, providing support and assistance that can ultimately help reduce burnout. The study aims to find out the relationship between social support and academic burnout in high school students. The research method used is quantitative correlational research. Research samples of students of classes X and XI with a total of 258 students were taken using stratified random sampling. The instruments used include social support questionnaires that are structured based on House's aspects to measure the level of social support and a Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) questionnary to measures the burnout rate. Data analysis is done univariately and bivariately using a chi-square test. The results show that there is a significant link between social support and academic burnout in students, which shows that social support plays a role in reducing academic Burnout and improving academic performance.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic can affect not only the physical but also mental health of the survivors. Particularly, mental health problems may influence their emotional, cognitive, physical, and social aspects. Meanwhile, one of the factors that closely relate to the problems is spirituality. This study aimed to determine the relationship between spirituality and mental health in COVID-19 survivors. The type of the research was descriptive correlation. The research respondents totaled 100 COVID-19 survivors. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. To collect the data, The Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) was utilized to measure spirituality and The Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF) to measure mental health. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a high level of spirituality (52%) and a good mental health (64%). The chi-square test results obtained a P value of 0.003, which means there was a significant relationship between spirituality and mental health in COVID-19 survivors. This research showed that the higher the spirituality, the better the mental health of COVID-19 survivors.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Interprofessional education (IPE) has received increasing attention in the last ten years, and this is because patients need better health services, and health problems are increasingly complex. The Interprofessional team consists of professionals from various health sciences who have specific knowledge, attitudes, skills, and abilities. They have particular goals based on the patient's health care needs. Not all these health workers received good enough IPE when they went to school. In this study, researchers will examine the readiness and perceptions of lecturers in nursing faculty regarding IPE. There are several reasons why the IPE is necessary. This study aims to explore more deeply the perceptions and readiness of nursing lecturers regarding IPE implementation in nursing education. This study used a descriptive comparative and correlational design. The survey had responses from nursing lecturers (n = 53). The total lecturer's scores of RIPLS were high, with a mean score of 75.17 (SD=5.01) and a mean score of 74.55 (SD=8.27) of the IEPS total scores. When comparing the demographic data with the total scores of RIPLS and IEPS quantitatively, there were no significant differences. Also, statistically significant correlations were found between RIPLS and IEPS (p >0.0001). Keywords: Interprofessional Education (IPE); nursing; perception; readiness ABSTRAK Pendidikan interprofessional (IPE) mendapat perhatian yang semakin meningkat dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir, dan ini karena pasien membutuhkan pelayanan kesehatan yang lebih baik, dan masalah kesehatan yang semakin kompleks. Tim Interprofessional terdiri dari para profesional dari berbagai ilmu kesehatan yang memiliki pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan, dan kemampuan tertentu. Mereka memiliki tujuan tertentu berdasarkan kebutuhan perawatan kesehatan pasien. Tidak semua tenaga kesehatan tersebut mendapatkan IPE yang cukup baik saat mereka bersekolah. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti akan mengkaji kesiapan dan persepsi dosen di fakultas keperawatan tentang IPE. Ada beberapa alasan mengapa IPE diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam persepsi dan kesiapan dosen keperawatan terhadap penerapan IPE dalam pendidikan keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif komparatif dan korelasional. Survei tersebut mendapat tanggapan dari dosen keperawatan (n = 53). Nilai otal RIPLS dosen tinggi, dengan rerata skor 75.17 (SD=5.01) dan rerata skor 7.,55 (SD=8.27) dari total skor IEPS. Jika membandingkan data demografi dengan total skor RIPLS dan IEPS secara kuantitatif, tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Abstract

Background: Cyberslacking is a deviant behavior that is often carried out by students regarding internet use during lectures. Internet access is used for things that have nothing to do with academics. Conformity as a form of social influence is thought to have a relationship with cyberslacking which can make individuals tend to change their attitudes, behavior and beliefs to adapt to existing norms. Purpose: To determine the relationship between conformity and cyberslacking in students. Method: Quantitative research with correlational design. Proportional stratified random sampling technique was used to take a research sample of 346 students. Data collection was carried out using a conformity scale with a reliability value of 0.764 and a cyberslacking questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.901. The correlation analysis used is Spearman's rho. Results: The level of conformity and cyberslacking of respondents was mostly in the medium category with the respective percentages being (70.8%) and (82.7%). The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test obtained a p-value of 0.003, which shows that there is a significant relationship between conformity and cyberslacking. Conclusion: There is a positive and significant relationship between conformity and cyberslacking. Increased conformity will be followed by increased cyberslacking, and vice versa. Suggestion: Future researchers can analyze the factors that strengthen the relationship between conformity and cyberslacking in students.   Keywords: Conformity; Cyberslacking; Student.   Pendahuluan: Cyberslacking merupakan suatu perilaku menyimpang yang sering dilakukan oleh mahasiswa terkait penggunaan internet selama perkuliahan berlangsung. Akses internet tersebut digunakan untuk hal yang tidak ada kaitannya dengan akademik. Konformitas sebagai bentuk pengaruh sosial diprediksi memiliki hubungan dengan cyberslacking yang dapat membuat individu cenderung mengubah sikap, perilaku maupun keyakinannya untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan norma yang ada. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konformitas dengan cyberslacking pada mahasiswa. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Teknik proportionated stratified random sampling digunakan untuk mengambil sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 346 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan conformity scale dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.764 dan kuesioner cyberslacking dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.901. Analisis korelasi yang digunakan adalah Spearman’s rho. Hasil: Tingkat konformitas dan cyberslacking responden sebagian besar berada pada kategori sedang dengan masing-masing persentase, yaitu (70.8%) dan (82.7%). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman’s rho diperoleh p-value sebesar 0.003 yang menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara konformitas dengan cyberslacking. Simpulan:Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara konformitas dengan cyberslacking. Peningkatan konformitas akan diikuti dengan peningkatan cyberslacking, begitu pun sebaliknya. Saran: Peneliti selanjutnya dapat menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memperkuat hubungan antara konformitas dengan cyberslacking pada mahasiswa.   Kata Kunci: Cyberslacking; Konformitas; Mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to complete data articles related to interprofessional education in nursing so that accurate and comprehensive data can be obtained and are expected to be used as the basis for further research, especially in the development of interprofessional education. Research methods related to interprofessional education in nursing from 2010-2019 are based on data from Scopus, using the Publish or Perish (POP) search application, and using content analysis methods systematically. The results showed that the number of article publications had increased every year. This indicates that interprofessional competence in nursing education gets more attention from scientists and researchers. In conclusion, there is an increase in research tending to this topic every year. The highest search results of citations per article are 132. The journal that publishes interprofessional education the most used is bibliometrics. It is expected to see a map of research globally. Many are Journal of Interprofessional Care. Abstract

Adolescents with failure tend to make self-esteem feel dissatisfied with themselves and their sense of wanting to be someone else, more often experience negative emotions, difficult to accept failure and excessive disappointment when failing. The purpose of this study to see a picture of self-esteem of adolescents who failed to be admitted to public universities, this study uses a quantitative descriptive design with a population of adolescents who failed to be admitted to public universities. The sampling technique in this study using simple random sampling, with a sample of 119 respondents and the method of data collection is by distributing questionnaires survey. The research instrument used Rosenberg self esteem scale that has been modified by the researcher and tested for validity and reliability. Validatas test results showed 0.868 then for the reliability results have a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.760. The results showed 7.57% had self-esteem problems after failing in public college admissions and 92.43% had no self-esteem problems.
