Abstract

Divorce is a life event that triggers psychological changes in the self-acceptance of someone who experiences it, especially women. These negative impacts can affect all aspects of life and can disrupt one's identity. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and self-identity in women who have experienced divorce. This type of research is quantitative, with a cross-sectional approach using a correlational design. Sampling used a total sampling technique, totaling 55 respondents. Data were collected using the self-acceptance scale questionnaire and the self-identity questionnaire. The data analysis method used is Spearman's rho correlation statistical test using JASP software. The research results obtained a data value of r = 0.728 with a p-value = 0.001, because the significant value is 0.001 < 0.05, it shows a significant positive relationship between self-acceptance and self-identity. Therefore, the importance of providing psychological and social support shown to increase self-acceptance can have a positive impact on reshaping the self-identity of women who experience divorce.

Abstract

Adolescents with leukemia who undergo chemotherapy have psychological problems caused by the side effects of treatment. Side effects that arise in adolescents with cancer include anxiety, body image disturbances, depression, decreased socialization, and even fear of death. These psychological problems can affect resilience to maintain a resilient attitude in undergoing treatment. One of the protective factors in building resilience is family support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and family support. This type of research is quantitative with a correlational design. The sample used was leukemia adolescents aged 12-18 years who underwent chemotherapy using accidental sampling technique for 1 month, consisting of 37 respondents. The research instrument was the CYRM (child youth resilience measure) questionnaire which amounted to 17 questions and the family support questionnaire amounted to 12 questions. Data were analyzed with the spearman rank test. The results showed a high level of resilience and good family support. The level of strength between variables is low (0.396) with a positive direction, and significant (p value = 0.015). Conclusion: there is a strong, positive, and significant relationship between resilience and family support in leukemia adolescents who are undergoing chemotherapy.

Abstract

The adolescent stage in secondary education in Indonesia is a crucial stage in adolescent development, with curricula more complex than the elementary education stage. High academic challenges and developmental demands can lead to physical and emotional burnout in students. Academic burnout is caused by the length of school hours, too much activity, and too much work. Another factor causing academic burnout is a lack of social support. Social support plays an important role in creating a comfortable, motivated learning environment, providing support and assistance that can ultimately help reduce burnout. The study aims to find out the relationship between social support and academic burnout in high school students. The research method used is quantitative correlational research. Research samples of students of classes X and XI with a total of 258 students were taken using stratified random sampling. The instruments used include social support questionnaires that are structured based on House's aspects to measure the level of social support and a Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) questionnary to measures the burnout rate. Data analysis is done univariately and bivariately using a chi-square test. The results show that there is a significant link between social support and academic burnout in students, which shows that social support plays a role in reducing academic Burnout and improving academic performance.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 berdampak terhadap kesehatan jiwa masyarakat seperti mengalami perubahan reaksi emosional berupa ketakutan akan penularan, perasaan stigmatisasi, kesepian, kebosanan, kemarahan, kegelisahan, kecemasan dan rasa ketidakpastian. Semakin seseorang merasa cemas yang berlebihan maka kekebalan tubuh  menurun dan bila tidak segera diatasi akan berdampak terjadinya masalah kesehatan jiwa yang lebih berat sehingga diperlukan upaya promosi, pencegahan, pengobatan dan rehabilitasi secara menyeluruh untuk mempertahankan kesehatan jiwa melalui pelayanan kesehatan jiwa masyarakat oleh perawat puskesmas sebagai pemberi pelayanan primer. Kualitas pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawat dalam menjalankan peran perawat pemegang program kesehatan jiwa dapat menentukan keberhasilan pelayanan kesehatan jiwa di masayrakat sehingga perlu dilakukan pelatihan tentang peran perawat dalam pelayanan keperawatan kesehatan jiwa yang berbasis masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada msyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawat puskesmas dalam memberikan pelayanan keperawatan kesehatan jiwa berbasis komunitas yang meliputi: kemampuan manajemen pelayanan keperawatan kesehatan jiwa komunitas dan pemberian asuhan keperawatan kesehatan jiwa komunitas pada masa pandemik Covid 19. Metodelogi yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan pendekatan model Community Mental Health Nursing (CMHN), dilakukan dengan cara daring selama 2 hari dan 1 hari pendampingan praktek lapangan dengan luring kepada 36 perawat pemegang program kesehatan jiwa Se-Kabupaten Sumedang serta dilakukan 3 kali monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam kegiatan ini terlaksananya kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan CMHN pada perawat puskesmas, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dengan rata-rata skor 20 dan kemampuan perawat puskesmas dalam melakukan manajemen pelayanan kesehatan jiwa sebesar 25. Perawat dapat menerapkan program CMHN.

Abstract

Mahasiswa akhir keperawatan mengalami berbagai tantangan dan hambatan selama proses penyusunan skripsi, yang dapat memengaruhi kemampuan empati yang merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam praktik keperawatan. Salah satu faktor yang diduga berhubungan dengan empati adalah literasi kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara literasi kesehatan mental dengan empati pada mahasiswa akhir S1 Keperawatan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Kampus Sumedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa aktif semester 7 berjumlah 148 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS) untuk mengukur literasi kesehatan mental dan Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) untuk mengukur empati. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup kuat dengan arah positif antara literasi kesehatan mental dan empati (r = 0,513; p < 0,001). Disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi literasi kesehatan mental mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi pula empatinya. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan literasi kesehatan mental sebagai upaya memperkuat empati mahasiswa keperawatan dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan yang maksimal.

Abstract

Teenagers are defined as the transition period from childhood to adulthood. In Indonesia, according to population projection data (2014), the number of teenagers reaches around 65 million or 25 percent over the 255 million population (Ministry of Health, 2015). In the 2014-2019 health development target, teenager reproductive problems are one of the biggest issues that must be a concern, one of which is the understanding of menarche or menstruation experienced. Data shows that a quarter of teens never talks about menstruation before experiencing menarche. Insufficient knowledge about menarche causes anxiety problems in adolescents, unpreparedness in dealing with menarche, and poor personal hygiene during menstruation which can have an impact on reproductive health. Based on this analysis, it is considered important to carry out community service to improve understanding and knowledge of menarche care at elementary school age. Audiovisual teaching media was used as a material and method. The sample size for community services was 50 participants, from 4 to 6-grade students. A self-administered questionnaire was used for pre and post-test data collection. The results showed differences between pre and post-test about knowledge of menarche care. Before applying the community service, there were 18% of girls were aware of menarche and menstrual hygiene. Meanwhile, the post-test result showed an improvement to 64%. Significant differences were observed among girls in terms of knowledge and perception related to menarche care. The promotion of health through education is expected to be able to increase the knowledge of young girls, so they can achieve both physical and psychological care and health.

Abstract

Elementary school-aged children are very vulnerable to experiencing unpleasant events and are often victims of violence. In Indonesia, West Java Province is ranked first in cases of violence against children, with a total of 1,695 victims. In Sumedang Regency, especially North Sumedang District, there is a high number of cases of violence against children. Children aged 12-13 are in the transition phase from children to adolescents. This study aims to analyze the differences in trauma in boys and girls aged 12-13 years. The method used in this study is a comparative quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study used Simple Random Sampling with a sample size using the calculation of the Krecji table with a significance level of 5%, namely 276 grade 6 elementary school children consisting of 133 boys and 143 girls. The instrument used in this study is the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire Short Form (CTQ-SF) questionnaire, which measures five dimensions of trauma, namely emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, physical neglect, and emotional neglect. Data collected through questionnaires were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results of this study showed that there were significant differences in trauma between boys and girls aged 12-13 years in the dimensions of Emotional Abuse (p = 0.029), Physical Abuse (p < 0.001), and Physical Neglect (p < 0.001). There are differences in trauma in boys and girls. Boys are more vulnerable to physical trauma, and girls are more vulnerable to emotional or psychological trauma.
