Abstract

In support of bilingual practice in Universitas Hamzanwadi, the tourism department has successfully made use of English instruction for three particular courses. Tourismpreneur, as an excellent core of the tourism study program, campaigned to enable students (college students) to stay connected with English academics and business. Furthermore, this research entails a qualitative content of new term colleagues' opinions on how English is fully implemented for learning instruction. Using reliable questionnaires, statements recording needs and challenges through Google form have been distributed to elicit their perspectives on English instruction trial policy in the context of tourism classes. We investigated 82 college students from the stratified uneven semester (semester one, three) with an online survey design for three tourism classes. Our results extend well-established findings in agreement that English instruction should maintain courses in the classroom. Yet, few claim it is unnecessary and should be in all courses. The most apparent comments have been to shape English-lingua Franca as survival communicative skills required by tourism students to better work positions after graduation. Barriers in classroom learning are discussed.

Abstract

Desa Batu Putih merupakan desa yang memiliki daya tarik wisata alam dan bahari yang berpotensi di kecamatan Sekotong Kabupaten Lombok Barat dan potensi tersebut dapat dijadikan produk atau atraksi yang dapat menarik minat calon wisatawan untuk berkunjung. Namun untuk menopang pengembangan potensi tersebut menjadi produk dan atraksi yang nyaman dikunjungi oleh wisatawan, maka sudah saatnya desa ini berbenah membangun kesadaran bersama tentang prinsip-prinsip dasar tentang pariwisata dan hospitalities. Adanya hospitalities disuatu daerah destinasi menjadi satu hal sangat penting demi keberhasilan suatu kegiatan pariwisata. Metode ceramah digunakan dalam proses penyampaian materi dan memberikan motivasi kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya nilai-nilai hospitalities. Metode diskusi digunakan sebagai media komunikasi pada saat sosialisasi berlangsung sehingga terjalin komunikasi dua arah antara masyarakat dan tim pengabdian masyarakat. Metode domonstrasi digunakan dalam memberikan contoh praktik langsung menjadi pemandu wisata. Hasil kegiatan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakt di Desa Batu Putih, Kabupaten Lombok Barat,Nusa Tenggara Barat berjalan dengan lancer atas dukungan dan Kerjasama kepala desa dan warga setempat.

Abstract

Bonjeruk tourist village with Nostalgia Tourism Branding develops Cultural and historical Tourism Products, Rural Nature and Culinary which will give an impression to visitors how to live peacefully in the countryside with beautiful natural nuances and noble culture so that they will feel comfortable after all this time busy with the hustle and bustle of life in the area of origin. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interview, and documentation, data analysis in this research is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the research conducted, Bonjeruk village ecotourism has a variety of tourism potential that is beautiful and interesting to visit, the potential of ecotourism includes tourists can do English learning activities, enjoy rice fields and enjoy the agricultural products of the local community, one of which is coffee. The next potential is to enjoy the historic buildings of Dutch heritage.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa Prodi Pariwisata Unram tentang tentang penanganan keluhan tamu yang sering terjadi di departemen housekeeping, memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran tentang kepemimpinan pada level supervisor dan meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa Prodi Pariwisata Unram dalam memecahkan masalah yang didapatkan dari keluhan tamu hotel. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini berlangsung dengan baik dan sukses, kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di kampus Prodi Pariwisata UnramMataram telah terlaksana dengan baik. Peserta pengabdian terdiri dari mahasiswa Program Studi yang ada di kampus Prodi Pariwisata Unram. Beradasarkan ujian tes kemampuan yang diberikan, kemampuan peserta dilihat dari penguasaan materi sudah Baik dengan nilai rata-rata dari hasil latihan seluruh peserta yaitu 70,54. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukakan, saran yang dapat disampaikan yaitu Adanya kegiatan lanjutan yang berupa pelatihan sejenis untuk selalu diselenggarakan secara terus menerus, sehingga kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa Prodi Pariwisata UnramMataram terus meningkat. Materi pelatihan diharapkan terus dikembangkan dan dikreasikan dengan baik, sehingga pelatihan diharapkan lebih baik

Abstract

The study was conducted to analyse the effect of inventory turnover and sales growth on food and beverage profit at the company partially and simultaneously. This research uses a theoretical base and relevant concepts, namely the theory of inventory turnover, sales growth and food and beverage profit. This quantitative research using the analytical method namely multiple  correlation analysis, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis test (t-test, F-test, and coefficient determination), and predictor contributions. The results indicate that the t-count value of inventory turnover is smaller than t-table (0,901 < 2,035) with a significant value more than 0,05 (0,374 > 0,05). The t-countvalue of sales growth is greater than t-table (5,901 > 2,035) with a significant value less than 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). The inventory turnover has a positive but not significant effect on food and beverage profit at The companywith a contribution of 4,576%. Sales growth has a positive and significant effect on food and beverage profit the compa ny with a contribution of 55,224%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengelola sarhunta di KEK Mandalika sebelum dan sesudah sarhunta dikembangkan. Kedua, untuk menganalisis dampak sosial dan ekonomi yang diperoleh sebelum dan sesudah sarhunta dikembangkan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, studi literatur dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, keterampilan masyarakat sebelum mendapatkan bantuan program sarhunta dari pemerintah, masyarakat tidak memiliki keterampilan sama sekali dalam mengelola tempat tinggal (sarhunta). Namun setelah mendapatkan bantuan, masyarakat memiliki keterampilan tersebut karena telah mendapatkan beberapa pelatihan dari stakeholder terkait. Meskipun begitu, keterampilan yang dimiliki masyarakat sebenarnya belum maksimal, karena mereka belum mampu mengelola sarhunta mereka sesuai dengan standar penginapan pada umumnya. Selain itu, masyarakat masih kesulitan dalam memasarkan sarhunta mereka karena minimnya pengetahuan tentang pemasaran, dan harus bersaing dengan berbagai tempat penginapan lain yang sudah berkembang dengan baik. Sehingga mereka cenderung hanya menunggu tamu yang datang ke tempat mereka masing-masing. Selanjutnya, dampak sosial dan ekonomi yang didapatkan oleh masyarakat sebelum dan sesudah sarhunta dibangun antara lain meningkatnya pendapatan masyarakat, terciptanya lapangan pekerjaan bagi anggota keluarga, ekosistem ekonomi lokal di sekitar sarhunta terus berkembang, budaya lokal semakin dikenal oleh wisatawan, adanya pengembangan dan pelatihan keterampilan, meningkatnya integrasi sosial antara wisatawan dan masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

Effective complaint management in the hospitality industry, particularly within the front office operations of hotels, plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction, fostering loyalty, and maintaining a positive brand reputation. As the primary point of contact, front office staff are frequently tasked with resolving guest grievances that vary in complexity and urgency. This article explores the best practices for managing guest complaints by front office personnel in hotels, drawing from both empirical research and industry standards. The study aims to identify key strategies, communication techniques, and behavioral competencies that contribute to successful complaint resolution. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines qualitative interviews with hotel front office managers and quantitative analysis of guest satisfaction data across mid-range and upscale hotel properties. The findings reveal that proactive communication, emotional intelligence, timely response, empowerment of front-line staff, and follow-up procedures significantly enhance complaint handling effectiveness. Additionally, the integration of technology—such as CRM systems and real-time feedback tools—has been found to support efficiency and personalization in service recovery processes. The article further discusses the implications of complaint management practices on operational performance, employee training programs, and overall guest experience. Best practices identified through the research are synthesized into a practical framework to guide hotel managers and front office teams in handling complaints systematically and empathetically. The paper concludes by emphasizing the necessity of a complaint-positive organizational culture and continuous professional development to sustain service excellence in the competitive hospitality landscape.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic transformation of the tourism industry in response to the accelerating influence of digital technology. The objective is to analyse how digital tools such as artificial intelligence, big data, social media, and virtual reality are reshaping tourism business models, destination marketing, and customer engagement. By focusing on the integration of technology into tourism management and operations, the research aims to identify strategies that enhance competitiveness, sustainability, and visitor satisfaction. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive method using literature review and document analysis as the primary data sources. Selected studies from peer-reviewed journals, government reports, and industry white papers provide insight into global trends and best practices in digital tourism transformation. The analysis reveals that digital technology facilitates the personalization of travel experiences, streamlines operational efficiency, and broadens market access. In addition, smart tourism initiatives enable real-time interaction and data-driven decision-making, significantly improving destination management and resource sustainability. However, digital transformation also presents challenges, including cybersecurity risks, uneven digital literacy, and the digital divide between regions. In conclusion, successful strategic transformation in tourism requires not only technological investment but also a comprehensive rethinking of organizational culture, human resources, and public-private collaboration. Future policies should emphasize inclusive digital access, innovation-driven development, and adaptive strategies that align with the fast-changing digital landscape.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat khususnya pelaku wisata pedesaan dalam mengelola dan memasarkan daya Tarik wisata melalui pelatihan penyusunan paket wisata pedesaan yang menarik di Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Kondisi Desawisata di Kabupaten Lombok Utara terus berkembang dari waktu ke waktu dengan keragaman daya tarik wisata berupa keindahan alam, budaya lokal, dan wisata minat khusus yang autentik, berbasis Masyarakat, dan berkelanjutan. Metode Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan berbasis kebutuhan local. Pelatihan penyusunan paket wisata pedesaan ini menyasar anggota Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), pemuda desa, dan pelaku usaha pariwisata local dari 17 desawisata yang tertarik untuk dilatih di Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Adapun materi yang disampaikan dalam pelatihan adalah Menyusun jadwal perjalanan wisata (itinerary), menghitung harga paket wisata pedesaan, melatih penggunaan media sosial, platform digital, dan kerja sama dengan agen perjalanan untuk promosi, memberikan pengetahuan tentang tugas dan tanggung jawab pemandu wisata. Hasil kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diikuti oleh 40 orang peserta yang berasal dari 17 desawisata perwakilan 5 kecamatan di kabupaten Lombok Utara. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan lancar dan penuh semangat dari peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan oleh peserta adalah peserta mampu menyusun paket wisata pedesaan yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar, mampu menjelaskan daya tarik wisata yang menjadi keunggulan di Desawisata serta memanfaatkan teknologi digital sebagai media pemasaran

Abstract

Community service in Jango village, Janaperia District, centeral Lombok Regency, The beckground is the potential for religios tourism as the symbol of the Kaaba. Which is managed independently by the community with the Jabal Rahmah Pokdarwis in Jango village. The problem is that the government is still limited. This couses this tourist park to belles than optimal. Method: Activity preparation : conducting a preliminary survey to Jango, Halmet,  Jango Village, the object of community service activities. Coordinating with the Hamlet apparatus and the head of village and KOPDARWIS of Jango village, administrative management (correspondence), Preparation of tools and materials and accomudation Preparation of places for the implementation of FGD (Focus Group Discussier) activity implementation: FGD (focus group discussion) includes: Delivering the purpose of holding Unram community service activities for the development of religios tourism in Jango village Delivering problems and obstacles faced by the Jango Halmet apparatus, Jango Village and KOPDARWIS of Jango village. Risult Lack of involvment of local and central goverments in the involvement of building the Jabal Rahmah tourism park in Jango village. To date, the Rahmah tourism group administrators. Along with the Jango village government and the community. The involvement of capital owners was the first step in establishing standart facilities. The local community donated their land for the Jabal Rahmah Tourism Park.
