Abstract

Abstract”” Diabetes is a disease that can cause death. Diabetes can cause heart failure, chronic kidney disease, glaucoma that attacks the eyes and several other diseases. WHO data states that there were more than 2 million deaths due to diabetes in 2019. Data from the International Diabetes Federation shows that around 537 adults are recorded as living with diabetes. This condition must be treated immediately, considering that diabetes is one of the most deadly non-communicable diseases in the world. Patient registration is mostly done in hospitals. A lot of data will only become digital waste if it does not have more benefits. In 2020 Diabetes and Hospital in Sylhet donated patient data for further research. This data contains 520 patient records with 17 attributes that have been validated by specialist doctors. Early stage diabetes risk prediction data is released by the uci repository as public data and can be used for research testing. Research using this dataset has been widely carried out with the previous best accuracy level of 95.96%. In previous studies, all attributes were used in the classification process. The number of irrelevant attributes can affect the performance of the classification algorithm. This study uses the information gain ratio for feature selection of the early stage diabetes risk prediction dataset. The C45 algorithm is used for classification, evaluation using confusion matrix and validation using 10 folds cross validation. The results of this study improve the performance of C45 so that it obtains an accuracy level of 96.15%. This study also produces a decision tree for diabetes..

Abstract

Taxpayer compliance problems in Indonesia are still occurring as reflected in the compliance ratio which has not reached the maximum percentage. This condition prompted the government to stipulate Law Number 9 of 2017 concerning Access to Financial Information for Tax Purposes in the hope that taxpayers will not be absent from paying taxes. However, the enactment of this law has interesting pros and cons to study, how effective it is in supporting taxation interests in Indonesia and in Denpasar, Bali in particular. This research is empirical study with a fact approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing the head of the DJP for the Bali region, the Head of the Lmats Consulting Tax Consulting Office, and the taxpayers. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Law No. 9 of 2017 concerning Access to Financial Information for Tax Purposes has been going well. The supporting factor for the implementation of Law No. 9 of 2017 is the support from the DPR and the ministries which led to the passing of Law No. 9 of 2017. The inhibiting factor for the implementation of Law No. 9 of 2017 is the limited number of IT staff at DGT and also banking which causes technical problems related to the reporting of financial data, besides that the lack of quantity of human resources owned by DGT, especially in the IT field, causes implementation to be disrupted. Based on the data obtained regarding the ratio of taxpayer compliance in Indonesia during the period 2017 to 2021, it was found that there was a significant increase in taxpayer compliance. This increase in taxpayer compliance indicates that the implementation of Law No. 9 of 2017 in Indonesia has been effective in increasing taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

The adoption of Population Information System is crucial to enhance work effectiveness and serves as a manifestation of transparency in population data management. The complexity from design to implementation of such a population information system poses its own challenges. There are at least three main issues in system design, namely time estimation, team management, and ensuring the quality of system being developed. These issues must be addressed early on to prevent potential team management problems during the design and development stages of the application. One suitable method that can be employed for the design of the population information system is the Scrum methodology. Scrum is a software development framework that emphasizes a collaborative and adaptive approach. It falls under the Agile methodology, aiming to produce products that are more responsive to changes and enabling teams to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Scrum also promotes transparency in the development process, aiding in monitoring system progress and information accuracy. Compared to the commonly used Waterfall method, the Scrum approach offers greater flexibility in dealing with changes in requirements or needs that may arise during the development process. While the Waterfall method tends to follow predefined in linear steps. The novelty of this research lies in the proactive approach to addressing the complexity of designing population information systems by implementing Agile methodologies such as Scrum. Thus, it is expected that the implementation of Scrum will bring significant changes in improving the effectiveness and transparency in the development of population information systems.
