Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine the level of employee work motivation in terms of goal-oriented drive, work enthusiasm, initiative and creativity, responsibility, and performance recognition. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The research population consisted of 79 employees, and all of them were selected as the sample using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed by calculating the mean score. Results: The results showed that the work motivation of employees at the Agam Regency Education and Culture Office was in the high category, with an average score of 4.42. Specifically, the indicator of goal-oriented drive obtained a score of 4.51, work enthusiasm 4.48, initiative and creativity 4.43, responsibility 4.53, and performance recognition 4.15, all of which were categorized as high. These findings imply that employee work motivation is generally in a good condition; however, the aspect of performance recognition still needs to be improved through more optimal appreciation and reward systems to further enhance employee motivation and performance. Novelty: This study provides a comprehensive overview of employee work motivation at the Agam Regency Education and Culture Office based on five key indicators, namely goal-oriented drive, work enthusiasm, initiative and creativity, responsibility, and performance recognition.

Abstract

School-community relationship management is an important aspect of educational management that contributes to improving educational quality through community participation and strategic partnerships. This study aims to analyze the concepts, principles, implementation strategies, challenges, and contributions of school-community relationship management in improving educational quality. The research employed a qualitative literature review approach. Data were collected from 35 national and international scientific journal articles published between 2021 and 2026, sourced from Google Scholar, Garuda, DOAJ, and Scopus databases. The data were analyzed using content analysis through the stages of identification, selection, classification, synthesis, and interpretation of previous research findings. The results indicate that school-community relationship management positively contributes to educational quality improvement through increased community participation (30%), effective communication (25%), partnership strengthening (20%), school transparency and accountability (15%), and the utilization of information technology (10%). Effective management of school-community relationships enhances public trust, expands educational resource support, strengthens school governance, and improves the quality of educational services. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including low community participation, communication barriers, and suboptimal use of digital technology.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the role of school learning policies in integrating digital technology into the learning process, examine the suitability between technology-based learning policy designs and digital learning practices, and formulate strategies for optimizing the use of technology to improve the quality of learning at Budisatrya Private Middle School, Medan. Methods: This research employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested using source and technique triangulation. Results: The research results show that school policies have supported the integration of digital technology through the provision of learning facilities and infrastructure, internet access, and the use of digital media and platforms in teaching and learning activities. However, implementation has not been optimal due to differences in teachers' digital competencies, the lack of uniform technology standards, and limited use of technology in interactive and collaborative learning activities. Supporting factors include the availability of technological facilities, school management support, and student enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors include diverse teachers' digital competencies and the potential for digital distractions.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Cisco IT Essentials Virtual Desktop application on the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students in the Computer Hardware subtopic at SMAN 1 Matur. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design was employed. The sample consisted of 62 students selected through purposive sampling, comprising 31 students in the experimental class and 31 students in the control class. Data were collected using a validated and reliable 25-item multiple-choice test and analyzed through normality, homogeneity, and t-tests. The results showed that the experimental class achieved a higher mean score (83.74) than the control class (71.16). Hypothesis testing revealed that the calculated t-value was greater than the critical t value (5.4046 > 2.000) at a significance level of 0.05, indicating a significant positive effect of the application on students’ learning outcomes. The novelty of this study lies in the use of Cisco IT Essentials Virtual Desktop as a virtual simulation-based learning medium in senior high school Informatics education to support practical learning despite limited laboratory facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' perceptions of educational facility management in public senior high schools in Basa Ampek Balai Tapan District, covering aspects of procurement, utilization, maintenance, inventory, and supervision. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population consisted of 92 teachers from public senior high schools in Basa Ampek Balai Tapan District, with a sample of 78 teachers selected using proportional random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the average technique (mean). The results showed that teachers' perceptions of educational facility management were generally in the good category with an average score of 4.13. The procurement aspect obtained an average score of 3.80 (good), utilization 3.44 (sufficient), maintenance 4.56 (good), inventory 4.47 (good), and supervision 4.40 (good). The maintenance aspect was the indicator with the highest score, while utilization received the lowest score. These findings indicate that the management of educational facilities in schools has been running well, but the utilization of facilities still needs to be improved so that the available facilities can be used optimally to support the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of School Administrative Staff services in Public Junior High Schools in Tigo Nagari District, Pasaman Regency. This study focused on four indicators, namely timeliness of service, ease of obtaining service, officer responsibility, and clarity of service communication. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The study population was 103 teachers, with a sample of 52 teachers selected using the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the effectiveness of School Administrative Staff services was in the high category with an average score of 4.54. Timeliness of service obtained an average score of 4.55, ease of obtaining service 4.50, officer responsibility 4.57, and clarity of service communication 4.53, all of which were in the high category. The results of this study indicate that School Administrative Staff services have been implemented effectively and are able to support the administrative needs of teachers in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to determine the effectiveness of MONKESA learning media based on local wisdom to improve students' knowledge on the material of ethnic and cultural diversity of grade V SDN Burengan 4 Kediri City. This research and development uses the ADDIE model which consists of the stages (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The subjects of this research are teachers and students of grade V SDN Burengan 4 Kediri City. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that the results of the limited scale effectiveness test show an average value of 84 and classical completeness of 100% with a very effective category. Then, the results of the broad scale effectiveness test show an average value of 86.94 which is rounded to 87 and classical completeness of 100% with a very effective category. The results of the study show that the MONKESA learning media based on local wisdom is very effective and can be implemented in learning the material on ethnic and cultural diversity in class V of SDN Burengan 4, Kediri City..

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has encouraged Islamic educational institutions, including pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), to utilize digital platforms for communication, da'wah (Islamic outreach), information dissemination, and institutional branding. However, studies on pesantren digital branding through the management of Islamic educational content remain limited, particularly those examining content management as an integral part of institutional branding strategies. This study aims to describe the management of Islamic educational content on the social media platforms of Pondok Pesantren Ma'unah in Purworejo Regency, identify the factors supporting and constraining its implementation, and analyze its contribution to pesantren digital branding. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving eight informants, including the pengasuh (head of the Islamic boarding school), a social media administrator, santri (students), alumni, and members of the congregation. The data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that YouTube and Instagram are utilized to publish Islamic educational content, da'wah, and documentation of pesantren activities. Although content management remains relatively simple, continuous educational and religious activities sustain regular content publication. Social media also enhances institutional visibility, information transparency, alumni engagement, and the positive public image of the pesantren.

Abstract

The Qur'anic memorization (tahfidz) program has increasingly emerged as a strategic initiative for improving the quality of Islamic education in madrasahs. However, programs that are still in their developmental stage often encounter various managerial challenges, limiting the effectiveness of their implementation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of management functions in managing a pilot tahfidz class, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine its contribution to improving the quality of Islamic education at MI Ma'arif Wringinputih. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the madrasah principal, the tahfidz instructor, the homeroom teacher, students, and parents. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that the program has implemented the four management functions—planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling—although planning, the formulation of performance indicators, and the evaluation system still require further improvement. The program's success is supported by collaboration among the principal, teachers, the foundation, students, and parents, while the shortage of dedicated tahfidz teachers, the scheduling of activities after regular classroom instruction, and students' diverse learning abilities remain the primary challenges

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of the "Edupark" in supporting the quality of contextual learning at SMP Negeri 61 Surabaya. It employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to gain in-depth insight into the use of the school environment as a learning resource. Data collection involved the vice principal for curriculum affairs, three subject teachers, and three students through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted via data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation used to verify data validity. The results indicate that the Edupark is utilized through structured lesson planning and learning activities—such as observation, discussion, practical work, and assignments—that leverage the school environment as a learning resource. Students are actively involved during these learning activities. However, teachers and students face challenges such as time management constraints due to limited time allocation, difficulties in managing student behavior during outdoor lessons, and limited funds for transportation when conducting off-site learning with partners. The findings demonstrate that the use of the Edupark enhances the quality of contextual learning by providing direct learning experiences linked to real-life conditions and actively engaging students throughout the learning process.
