Abstract

Objective: The forced-distribution grading system for junior employees at PT Indorama Synthetics Tbk's Spun Yarns Personnel Department causes subjective rounding on small samples, poorly reflecting actual performance. Methods: This study weights criteria using AHP, ranks six junior employees (2025 data) with SAW and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS)  based on those weights, compares consistency via Spearman's Rank Correlation, and tests ranking robustness through weight sensitivity analysis. Results: AHP results show Performance Assessment as the highest-weighted criterion (0.542), followed by EPR (0.362) and Attendance (0.096), all consistent (CR < 0.1). Both SAW and TOPSIS ranked Lukman first, with a Spearman correlation of ρ = 0.8286 (very strong). Sensitivity testing (-20% to +20%) produced no ranking changes (100% consistency), Novelty: This study integrates AHP-based expert weighting with two independent ranking methods and a formal robustness test, confirming the AHP-SAW/AHP-TOPSIS model's stability. Lukman is recommended as the Best Junior Employee for 2025.

Abstract

Learning difficulties are among the most common problems experienced by students and may hinder the achievement of educational goals. From the perspective of Islamic Educational Psychology, learning difficulties are influenced not only by intellectual abilities but also by psychological, spiritual, social, and environmental factors surrounding learners. This study aims to describe the forms of learning difficulties, their causal factors, diagnostic processes, and strategies for overcoming them within the context of Islamic education. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed through the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that learning difficulties can be classified into pre-academic and academic categories, including motor and perceptual disorders, language impairments, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. The causes arise from internal factors, external factors, and inappropriate learning strategies. Accurate diagnosis and the active role of Islamic Religious Education teachers as educators, mentors, motivators, and facilitators are essential in helping students overcome learning barriers. Therefore, the implementation of Islamic Educational Psychology principles contributes to creating a more effective, holistic, and student-centered learning process while supporting the comprehensive development of learners' potential.

Abstract

The increasing participation of mothers in the workforce has led them to take on the dual role of breadwinner and caregiver in the digital age. This study aims to analyze the dual role of working mothers in shaping the social identity and character of junior high school adolescents in Besuk Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research informants consisted of working mothers as primary informants and junior high school adolescents as supporting informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. The results showed that working mothers continue to fulfill their caregiving functions through time management, communication, supervision of learning, regulation of digital media use, and instilling a sense of responsibility. Mothers also play a role in shaping social identity through family interactions, the development of social behavior, and the cultivation of self-understanding, as well as in shaping social character through the instillation of values such as responsibility, discipline, and social attitudes. The research findings indicate that the dual roles of working mothers not only support the fulfillment of the family’s economic needs but also contribute to the formation of adolescents’ social identity and character in the digital age.

Abstract

Village deliberation is a strategic instrument of local governance in Indonesia, yet national data show that among more than 75 thousand villages recorded in the 2024 Village Potential Census, community participation in village decision-making remains uneven and is often dominated by village elites. This study aims to analyze the implementation of village deliberation as a form of local democracy from the perspective of participatory democracy theory in Karanggeneng Village, Lamongan Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the village head, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), village officials, and community leaders, and documentation, and were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation applied to ensure validity. The results show that village deliberation has been conducted openly and participatively and has become the primary forum for formulating village development policy, in which the community voices aspirations, determines development priorities, and oversees program implementation. However, the quality of participation is not yet fully equal, as it is still influenced by education level, experience, and confidence in voicing opinions. From the perspective of participatory democracy theory, the practice reflects Carole Pateman's participatory education, Jürgen Habermas's public sphere, and Robert A. Dahl's polyarchy theory.

Abstract

Objective: PT. XYZ faced overstock issues with paint inventory because purchase order (PO) quantities did not align with actual production needs, thereby increasing holding costs and tying up company capital. This study aims to analyze the overstock situation; apply ABC Analysis, safety stock (SS), reorder point (ROP), economic order quantity (EOQ), and cost analysis to optimize inventory control; and compare inventory costs before and after implementing these methods. Methods: This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach using a case study of PT. XYZ. The data utilized consists of paint purchase orders from October 2025 to March 2026, processed via ABC classification, followed by calculations for SS, ROP, EOQ, and total inventory cost analysis. Results: ABC analysis classified nine types of paint, with Class A (5 items) accounting for 84.53% of the total inventory value; this resulted in a total SS of 403 units, an ROP of 487 units, and an EOQ of 207 units, with an ordering frequency of 44 times per period. The application of EOQ and cost analysis reduced total inventory costs from Rp40,057,229.53 to Rp14,914,561.24, representing an efficiency gain of 62.8%. Novelty: This study simultaneously integrates ABC, SS, ROP, EOQ, and cost analysis methods using real six-month purchase order data to control paint overstock in an assembly-based manufacturing company—an integrated approach rarely applied in previous studies, which typically utilized only a single method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the criteria and sub-criteria for selecting a bolt and nut supplier at PT. Rama Mulia Sentosa and to identify the top-priority supplier to eliminate subjectivity in evaluating these critical mechanical components. The research integrates the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) through criteria identification, hierarchical structuring, expert-based weighting, consistency testing, and calculating alternative closeness to the ideal solution. The AHP results reveal that Quality is the highest priority criterion with a weight of 0.47, followed by Price (0.17), Term of Payment (0.13), Update (0.12), and Capability (0.12). Furthermore, the TOPSIS ranking establishes Supplier A as the best alternative with a preference value of 0.674, significantly outperforming Supplier B (0.397) and Supplier C (0.326). The novelty of this research lies in proving that the integration of AHP and TOPSIS effectively transforms subjective purchasing evaluations into objective, systematic, and measurable decisions, demonstrated by Supplier A's consistent dominance across all sub-criteria. This finding provides PT. Rama Mulia Sentosa with a factual foundation for supplier selection, sets a performance benchmark for other vendors, and serves as a replicable evaluation model for other critical components with similar requirements.

Abstract

Objective: This study analyzes the financial feasibility and investment sensitivity of a planned 100,000-ton/year tinplate plant in Cilegon. Total initial investment was recorded at USD 281.29 million, with a positive NPV of USD 101.44 million, an IRR of 14.82% (above the MARR of 10.14%), a Net B/C of 1.01, a Payback Period of about 6 years 2 months, and a Discounted Payback Period of 6.15 years, indicating the project is FEASIBLE with a narrow margin. Methods: Feasibility was assessed using conventional investment appraisal combined with Vensim-based system dynamics sensitivity analysis. Both approaches consistently identified HRC price as the most influential variable, followed by tin ingot price. Results: The system dynamics approach additionally captured time-delay effects and dynamic cash flow behavior across the project's life cycle, revealing how raw material price volatility propagates through cash flows over time, an insight not offered by static sensitivity analysis alone. Novelty: This study integrates conventional investment appraisal methods (NPV, IRR, Net B/C, PBP) with Vensim-based system dynamics modeling in a rarely studied case within the national tinplate industry, offering a more comprehensive feasibility framework for investment decision-making in capital-intensive, commodity-based manufacturing sectors.

Abstract

This study aimed to strengthen 10th-grade students’ understanding of multiplication and division at MA Zainal Arifin by combining the Joyful Learning and Quantum Learning methods, using multiplication tables as the primary teaching aid. The research subjects consisted of mathematics teachers and 10th-grade students at the school, and the data were collected using descriptive qualitative methods through three approaches: directly observing the learning process, interviewing relevant parties, and documenting learning activities. After these two methods were applied in conjunction with the multiplication table, the students’ engagement, focus on learning, willingness to ask questions, and understanding of mathematical concepts appeared to improve. A more enjoyable learning environment made students more engaged, so that multiplication and division concepts, which were previously perceived as abstract, are now easier to grasp through concrete visualizations. These findings confirm that combining enjoyable learning methods with teaching aids is an effective way to strengthen students’ understanding of mathematical concepts, particularly in an Islamic boarding school setting such as MA Zainal Arifin. The novelty of this study lies in the simultaneous integration of two active learning methods using multiplication table teaching aids within the context of Islamic boarding school education, which is characterized by limited study time. This combination has been relatively rarely examined in previous research.
