Abstract

The use of interactive multimedia has a big impact on education, especially on the mathematics of parts, properties of blocks and cubes. This research aims to produce valid, practical, and effective multimedia. Class V B students of SD Negeri 109 Palembang are the subjects of the field test. The concept of modification of Hannafin and Peck's development pattern is the pattern used in this study, which has 3 stages, namely analyzing needs, outlines, and development and implementation with evaluation and revision at each stage. Tests on materials, designs, and media were carried out by experts and were declared very valid after revising the product. Multimedia is declared practical after a formative evaluation based on the acquisition of a very practical classification. Multimedia learning mathematics is effectively implemented in accordance with the learning outcomes of class VI B students at SD Negeri 109 Palembang. After being reviewed through the results of the percentage of 90% of children successfully achieving the KKM standard and the average value of N-gain is 0.54 with a medium classification. Pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh besar pada pendidikan, terutama pada matematika materi bagian-bagian, sifat-sifat bangun ruang balok dan kubus. Riset ini bertujuan yaitu menghasilkan multimedia yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Siswa kelasV B SD Negeri 109 Palembang merupakan subjek dari uji lapangan. Konsep modifikasi pola pengembangan Hannafin dan Peck adalah pola yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yang mempunyai 3 tahapan yakni menganalisis kebutuhan, kerangka bentuk, dan pengembangan beserta penerapan dengan evaluasi dan revisi di setiap tahapnya. Pengujian terhadap materi, desain, dan media dilakukan kepada ahli dan dinyatakan sangat valid setelah melakukan revisi produk. Multimedia dinyatakan praktis setelah dilakukan evaluasi formatif berdasarkan perolehan klasifikasi sangat praktis. Multimedia pembelajaran matematika efektif dilaksanakan sesuai dengan hasil pembelajaran peserta didik kelas VI B di SD Negeri 109 Palembang. Setelah ditinjau melalui hasil persentase 90% anak berhasil tercapai standar KKM serta besaran nilai rerata N-gain adalah 0,54 dengan klasifikasi sedang.

Abstract

Phonological awareness is an essential skill for children to learn to read. Most children with reading difficulties have problems with it. This article was written to describe phonological awareness skills in children with reading difficulties with a descriptive method. There were 31 students with reading difficulties were tested informally. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques and tabulation will define the result of their test. The results showed that there were 25 (81percent) students have problems with phonological awareness. It is indicated almost all students with reading difficulties cannot read with phonological awareness un-mastery. This theme opens up opportunities for further research on phonological awareness of language in primary schools given its importance in teaching reading in schools.

Abstract

The use of interactive multimedia in the 21st-century era in learning is necessary to enable students to develop various skills, especially 21st-century skills. This research aims to produce interactive multimedia products based on articulate storylines on the thematic understanding of the 21st century for elementary school students.  This type of research is Research and Development with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) research model. A team of experts assess the product quality test: material experts, media experts, learning experts, and linguists, assessments from teachers, and student response questionnaires. The evaluation results have obtained as follows;  Material expert assessment results in 90 (very good), media experts 90 (very good), learning experts 85 (very good), linguists (good), teacher ratings 95 (very good), and student response 84 (excellent). The average score of the evaluation results is 86.04, thus, the product can be declared worthy as a medium and support learning with the category "very good." Penggunaan multimedia interaktif di era abad 21 dalam pembelajaran sangatlah diperlukan dalam rangka mengaktifkan siswa serta mengembangkan berbagai keterampilan terutama keterampilan abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif berbasis articulate storyline pada pembelajaran tematik abad 21 bagi siswa sekolah dasar.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan model penelitian ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Adapun uji kualitas produk dinilai oleh tim ahli yaitu; ahli materi, ahli media, ahli pembelajaran, dan ahli bahasa, penilaian dari guru dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penilaian diperoleh sebagai berikut;  hasil penilaian ahli materi 90 (sangat baik), ahli media 90 (sangat baik), ahli pembelajaran 85 (sangat baik), ahli bahasa (baik), penilaian guru 95 (sangat baik), dan respon siswa 84 (sangat baik). Rata-rata hasil penilaian produk 86,04, sehingga produk dapat dinyatakan layak sebagai media dan penunjang belajar dengan kategori “sangat baik”.

Abstract

Learning media play an essential role for students to understand learning material. This study aimed to produce educational monopoly media on material cultural diversity by strengthening patriotism in grade IV Elementary School. This development uses the Dick and Carey model. The result of validation by a material expert, media expert, and user get a case of 100 percent, 83.3 percent, and 91.6 percent. Students question results on small-scale tests, and field tests get 93.3% and 92 percent. Educative monopoly can foster a character who loves the motherland with a percentage value of 90 percent.Media pembelajaran berperan penting bagi siswa untuk memahami materi pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk media Monopoli Edukatif materi keberagaman budaya dengan penguatan karakter cinta tanah air di kelas IV sekolah dasar yang valid berdasarkan ahli materi, ahli media, guru, dan praktis bagi siswa. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model Dick dan Carey. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan pengguna memperoleh persentase sebesar 100 persen, 83,3 persen, dan 91,6 persen. Hasil angket siswa pada uji skala kecil dan uji lapangan memperoleh persentase sebesar 93,3% dan 92 persen. Monopoli Edukatif dapat menumbuhkan karakter cinta tanah air dengan persentase nilai sebesar 90 persen.

Abstract

The challenges of 21st-century education require higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) to exist in various fields. This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-PjBL approach on HOTS. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the nonequivalent control group design model. The research data were obtained from 23 students of class IV A SD Muhammadiyah Macanan, Yogyakarta, as the experimental class, while the control class was 23 students from class IV B. The data collection technique used tests. The research instrument was in the form of multiple-choice test questions that had previously been validated by experts and empirical tests, which resulted in valid and reliable questions. The data analysis technique used an independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test. The results showed that the STEM-PjBL approach had a significant effect on student HOTS. There are differences in student HOTS before and after giving treatment. The differences in the HOTS’ mean were also shown in the experimental class and the control class.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the context, input, process, and product program of the Muhammadiyah Suronatan elementary school health canteen program. This study is an evaluative study with the CIPP model. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The respondents of this study are the principal, the teacher in charge of the canteen, the canteen manager, and students. Some of the steps taken in data analysis include data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed four main components.  First, the school canteen aims to provide safe, healthy, and nutritious food from the context aspect. Second, it is appropriate to improve students’ health through human resource support and adequate funds based on the input aspect. Third, the school has held clean and healthy living socialization for school residents based on the process aspect. Lastly, in terms of product, all the targets from the planned program have been achieved.

Abstract

The distance learning policy is the best effort to minimize the spread of Covid-19 in schools. This study aims to see the response of students in distance learning in the 2013 curriculum. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method and the data source is obtained from questionnaires given to 156 students in 12 elementary schools spread across 7 regencies/cities of East Java. The results showed that 100 percent of students took distance learning as scheduled, 51.3 percent of students accompanied by mothers, 10.3 percent of students accompanied by fathers, 20.5 percent of students accompanied by guardians, and 17.9 percent of students had no companions while studying. The communication tools used showed that 92.9 percent used social media, 71.8 percent of students found it difficult to understand thematic learning, 49.4 percent of the student assignment collection places were social media, and 92.9 percent of students thought distance learning added to technological knowledge.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a prototype of interactive teaching materials based on android applications effectively used in thematic learning in Elementary School. This development research uses the DDD-E model with four stages of development which include: (1) decide, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) evaluate. The products developed are divided into six applications that focus on the sub-theme of Environmental Conservation. Based on the test results, the obtained paired sample test results had a significance value of 0.001, which is less than 0.05. It can be interpreted that there is a significant difference between student learning outcomes before and after using interactive teaching material. The effectiveness of interactive teaching materials can be seen from the results of the N-Gain test with an average gain score of 0.6, which means the level of effectiveness of interactive teaching materials is in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the online learning assessment at SDN Kiduldalem 1 Bangil, Pasuruan Regency, along with the obstacles and difficulties in its implementation. This study used a descriptive qualitative design. The study subjects were teachers in grades 1 to 6 at SDN Kiduldalem 1 Bangil. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used in this research as data collection tools. The validity of the research was carried out with the extension of research, triangulation of techniques, and member checks. The results showed that all teachers could carry out cognitive assessments during online learning. Most of the teachers have already conducted the affective and psychomotor assessments. The obstacles and difficulties experienced in implementing learning assessments are the teachers have difficulty observing student attitudes, and preparing lesson plans and materials for online learning.

Abstract

Preliminary studies indicate that the scientific attitude of students in one of the elementary schools in science learning is still relatively low, especially in carrying out science learning tasks. Based on this condition, this study aims to determine the scientific attitude of students in learning through the application of the inquiry method. The research was carried out in the Rada State Elementary Schools, Bima Regency for the fourth grade of 27 students. The research method used was classroom action research with two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Research data were collected through test and observation techniques. The results showed that the inquiry method was very appropriate to be applied to science learning in grade IV to improve scientific attitudes. The scientific attitude includes curiosity, cooperation, not despair, not presumption, introspection, and responsibility. The results also show an increase in students' scientific attitudes in learning science so that they can make a positive contribution to science learning that needs to be applied sustainably in elementary schools.Studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa sikap ilmiah siswa di salah satu sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran sains masih tergolong rendah khususnya dalam pengerjaan tugas pembelajaran sains. Berpijak dari kondisi ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap ilmiah siswa dalam pembelajaran melalui penerapan metode inkuiri. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Rada, Kabupaten Bima untuk kelas IV sejumlah 27 siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode inkuiri sangat tepat diterapkan pada pembelajaran sains di kelas IV untuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiah. Sikap ilmiah tersebut meliputi rasa ingin tahu, kerjasama, tidak putus asa, tidak buruk sangka, mawas diri, dan bertanggung jawab. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan sikap ilmiah siswa dalam pembelajaran sains sehingga dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pembelajaran sains yang perlu diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar.
