Playing Number Wheel to Improve Early Numeracy Skill Action Research in Bon Thorif Kindergarten Murodi, Sri Sumarni; Andika, Windi Dwi

Abstract

Pupils’ low early numeracy skill was found as a problem in a preliminary study with average percentage 52,05% based on observation and attitude test. This was resulted from paper and pencil activities involving drilling in the instruction. The researchers, therefore, offered direct solution for increasing early numeracy skill of kindergarten pupils B by playing Number Wheel at Kindergarten Bon Thorif located in Palembang South Sumatera, Indonesia. Number Wheel was media of pointing numbers modified from Charlesworth’s media (2000, p.104). This media was in the shape of circle with 10 numbers from number 1 to 10 with different colours on its surface. This circle could spin at its center like a wheel and stop exactly on the clock hand pointing numbers. The method used classroom action research. The subjects were 13 pupils, 6 years old. Data collection techniques were test and non test. The data obtained from observation were gathered from field-notes and photographs. Data regarding an early numeracy skill were gathered by using an attitude test and observation. The indicator of the success of this research was shown by the improvement up to 71% for each pupil. The data analysis indicated that there was improvement 78,56% of pupils’ early numeracy skill in the frist cycle and 99,45% in the second cycle. This proved that the improvement was significant. The implication is that playing Number Wheel can be an alternative way to increase kindegarten pupils’ early numeracy skill. Future study is suggested to develop more innovative media to improve early numeracy skill.

Abstract

This study aims to produce digital based learning media to improve the Baseball games technique in grade VI Elementary School Students in Palembang city with a total of 40 students by using a limited trial (small group) to 10 students and a vast trial (large group) by using 30 students. Analysing technique in this research is a linear regression model. The results in this study indicate that the implementation of digital media based learning process with Baseball basic technique is used in elementary school. In stage of field test, based on 3 test which examined to the students, that is ball throwing, ball hitting and winning techniques. At the Pre-Test score of 55, 58 and 60 (Quite Good) and in Post-Test getting score of 72, 75 and 79, the criteria increased to Good. The average score of Post-Test is 9.06 with 1.89 as the deviation standard, but on Pre-Test have 1.89 it shows that the assesement on Post-test group is varied more. It can be concluded that digital based learning of media to improve Baseball game technique in grade VI Elementary School Students are valid, practical and feasible to use.

Abstract

Education at home is preparing a child for the future even though parents educate their child without a specific goal. But the child gets the knowledge, value, skills, and habits of parental education with love and compassion. The purpose of this research is to know the entrepreneurial education conducted by parents to children in Indonesia and the Philippines. The study was conducted in Indonesia and the Philippines. The population of this research comes from university students in Indonesia and the Philippines. The research respondent is the first semester student to become a respondent, as it is still heavily influenced by family education, the spread of questionnaires using Google forms, where the intended student is 2019 class students to fill the form provided. The maximum sample amount is determined, 216 respondents were acquired for each country. Data analysis techniques use percentages, data is outlined based on the educational aspect given to students by parents in the family. Shows that parents in Indonesia and the Philippines have done their job well. Indonesia acquires higher average value than the Philippines for all components, namely: knowledge, values, habits, and entrepreneurial skills. Overall, it looks how much the average acquisition shows the difference in the results of Indonesia and the Philippines in educating future entrepreneurs by parents. Habituation in children through assignments to do something at home or homework. The value of skills educated by parents in the form of leadership values and the ability to network, communicate, and make decisions quickly. Entrepreneurship education can provide an intensive investment value as long as the child is still in the educational process of his parents at home.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh permainan tradisional hijau hitam untuk meningkatkan kecepatan dan kelincahan bagi siswa ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri 40 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain “One Group Pretest-Postest Design”. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa ekstrakurikuler sepak bola di SMP Negeri 40 Palembang yang berjumlah 40 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecepatan adalah lari sprint dan untuk mengukur kelincahan adalah illinois agility test. Analisis data menggunakan uji t yang taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada pengaruh yang signifikan permainan tradisional hijau hitam terhadap kecepatan bagi siswa ektrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 40 Palembang, dengan nilai thitung 9,102 > ttabel 2,021, dan nilaicsignifikan 0,000 < 0,05 (2) ada pengaruh yang signifikan permainan tradisional hijau hitam terhadap kelincahan bagi siswa ektrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 40 Palembang, dengan nilai thitung 6,144 > ttabel 2,021, dan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, adanya pengaruh yang signifikan permainan tradisional hijau hitam terhadap kecepatan dan kelincahan bagi siswa ektrakurikuler sepak bola.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of basketball passing learning outcomes through modification of the traditional fort and pushcart games for junior high school students. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Mc.Taggart models through 2 cycles with stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII.2 SMPN 1 Talang Kelapa and the research sample amounted to 32 people. The results showed that there was an increase in basketball passing learning outcomes through modifications to the traditional fort and pushcart games for junior high school students. The results of the pre-cycle of students who were able to achieve a completeness score were 13 people with a graduation percentage of 41%. After learning cycle 1 the number of students who achieved completeness scores was 23 people with a passing percentage of 71%. Meanwhile, after cycle 2, there were 29 students who achieved the completeness score with a percentage of 91%, which means that the target of classical learning success, namely 85% of students who passed, had been achieved. It can be concluded that the modification of the traditional game fortification and pushcart can be used as a learning model to improve basketball passing for junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to produce audiovisual based learning media during Covid-19 Pandemic to improve the Sepaktakraw basic technique in Physical Education, Sport, Health and Recreation Students in Sriwijaya University with a total of 41 students by using a limited trial (small group) to 11 students and a vast trial (large group) by using 30 students. Analysing technique in this research is a linear regression model. The results in this study indicate that the implementation of audiovisual media based learning process with Sepaktakraw basic technique is used in Physical Education, Sport, Health and Recreation Students of Sriwijaya University. According to material experts of obtained a percentage of 88% (very good) and media experts of obtained of 84,61% (very good) category. The pre-test results was found to have average value of 64,67 and the post-test result was found to have average value of 90,80 with F count < 0,05, that means is a significant difference between student knowledge before and after watching the video of Sepaktakraw basic technique. It can be concluded that audiovisual based learning of media to improve Sepaktakraw game technique in Physical Education, Sport, Health and Recreation Students in Sriwijaya University are valid, practical and feasible to use.

Abstract

The use of interactive multimedia has a big impact on education, especially on the mathematics of parts, properties of blocks and cubes. This research aims to produce valid, practical, and effective multimedia. Class V B students of SD Negeri 109 Palembang are the subjects of the field test. The concept of modification of Hannafin and Peck's development pattern is the pattern used in this study, which has 3 stages, namely analyzing needs, outlines, and development and implementation with evaluation and revision at each stage. Tests on materials, designs, and media were carried out by experts and were declared very valid after revising the product. Multimedia is declared practical after a formative evaluation based on the acquisition of a very practical classification. Multimedia learning mathematics is effectively implemented in accordance with the learning outcomes of class VI B students at SD Negeri 109 Palembang. After being reviewed through the results of the percentage of 90% of children successfully achieving the KKM standard and the average value of N-gain is 0.54 with a medium classification. Pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh besar pada pendidikan, terutama pada matematika materi bagian-bagian, sifat-sifat bangun ruang balok dan kubus. Riset ini bertujuan yaitu menghasilkan multimedia yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Siswa kelasV B SD Negeri 109 Palembang merupakan subjek dari uji lapangan. Konsep modifikasi pola pengembangan Hannafin dan Peck adalah pola yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yang mempunyai 3 tahapan yakni menganalisis kebutuhan, kerangka bentuk, dan pengembangan beserta penerapan dengan evaluasi dan revisi di setiap tahapnya. Pengujian terhadap materi, desain, dan media dilakukan kepada ahli dan dinyatakan sangat valid setelah melakukan revisi produk. Multimedia dinyatakan praktis setelah dilakukan evaluasi formatif berdasarkan perolehan klasifikasi sangat praktis. Multimedia pembelajaran matematika efektif dilaksanakan sesuai dengan hasil pembelajaran peserta didik kelas VI B di SD Negeri 109 Palembang. Setelah ditinjau melalui hasil persentase 90% anak berhasil tercapai standar KKM serta besaran nilai rerata N-gain adalah 0,54 dengan klasifikasi sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul, "Aplikasi Kesantunan Berbahasa Berbasis Karakter dalam Perangkat Pembelajaran pada PAUD di Kota Palembang" ini bertujuan untuk mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian yang sudah diperoleh pada tahun pertama. Temuan hasil tahun pertama berupa deskripsi kesantunan berbahasa anak PAUD di kota Palembang yang sudah berbasis pendidikan karakter. Keduanya disosialisasikan kepada guru PAUD di kota Palembang. Selain itu disusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis karakter pada berbasis karakter pada PAUD mlalui kolaborasi dengan para guru PAUD. Para guru pun diminta menyusun proposal PTK dan melaksanakan penelitian PTK , serta mensosialisasikan hasilnya pada seluruh guru PAUD di kota Palembang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan oleh guru PAUD menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi, lembar pengamatan, angket, tes, wawancara, dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini sangat bermanfaat, baik secara teoretis dan praktis. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sumbangan teori kesantunan berbahasa anak yang berbasis pendidikan karakter. Secara praktis, penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi guru PAUD dalam mengemas perangkat pembelajaran bahasa, khususnya dalam mengajarkan karakter santun anak-anak didiknya. Guru melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbahasa yang berbasis pendidikan karakter.
