Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the competitiveness of the Gorontalo State University colleges in taking policies and strategic steps to improve competitiveness. This research is planned to take place in the next year. For 2020, the method used is a survey to gather information from 174 UNG lecturers about the competitiveness of their place of work, which is taken randomly from 10 existing faculties. From the instrument that was carried out a descriptive descriptive analysis using the Weighted Means Score (WMS) formula, it was found that the competitiveness of UNG was in a fairly good position. This is in line with the ranking carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 UNG is in the order of 86 cluster III. The competitiveness position of UNG provides information on the need for improvement, the hard work of all parties to improve the competitiveness of UNG in accordance with the vision of being superior and competitive. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan daya saing perguruan tinggi Universitas Negeri Gorontalo guna mengambil kebijakan dan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan daya saing ke depannya. Penelitian ini direncanakan berlangsung beberapa tahun ke depan. Untuk tahun 2020 ini metode yang digunakan adalah survey guna menjaring informasi dari 174 orang dosen UNG tentang daya saing tempatnya bekerja yang diambil secara acak dari 10 fakultas yang ada. Dari instrument yang didistribusikan dilakukan analisis deskriptif menggunakan formula Weighted Means Score (WMS), didapatkan data daya saing UNG berada pada posisi cukup baik. Hal ini sejalan dengan pemeringkatan yang dilakukan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan tahun 2020 UNG berada pada urutan 86 klaster III. Posisi daya saing UNG memberikan informasi perlu peningkatan, kerja keras semua pihak untuk menaikan daya saing UNG sesuai dengan visi unggul dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

Abstract: One that has an important role in the process of learning activities, namely speaking skills. For this reason, students’ speaking skills need to be developed from an early age. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the fifth grade students’ speaking skills at SDN Kepanjenlor 2 Blitar City after being given treatment using the Werewolf game accompanied by strengthening democratic characters. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The subjects of this study were class VA at SDN Kepanjenlor 2 Blitar City as an experimental class and class VB at SDN Kepanjenlor 2 Blitar City as a control class. Data collection techniques used are performance tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that given the Werewolf game treatment with the strengthening of democratic characters, it affected the speaking skills of fifth grade elementary school students. For this reason, if you want to improve students’ speaking skills, the Werewolf game can be used as an alternative in learning activities. Abstrak: Salah satu yang memiliki peran penting dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran yaitu keterampilan dalam berbicara. Untuk itu keterampilan berbicara siswa perlu terus dikembangkan sejak dini. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN Kepanjenlor 2 Kota Blitar setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan permainan Werewolf disertai penguatan karakter demokratis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalen control group. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas V-A SDN Kepanjenlor 2 Kota Blitar sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V-B SDN Kepanjenlor 2 Kota Blitar sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan performance test, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan diberikan perlakuan permainan Werewolf dengan penguatan karakter demokratis berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SD. Untuk itu, jika ingin meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa maka permainan Werewolf dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstract: This research emphasizes on e-Module based on content-based instruction (CBI) in Reading for Academic Purpose subject. This design implements the Islamic values of rahmatanlil’alamin. Students and lecturers of English Education Study Program do not have and never received an e-module for reading subject that involved Islamic values and digital content according to their background and is compatible with e-Learning that has been running University that is UNUSmartDaring. The aims of this study are to design an e-Module based Content Based Instruction (CBI) and measure its success in reading mastery of the fourth semester students of English Education. This e-Module design was created in order to improve the mastery of pedagogic concepts and the competence of English Education students as prospective teachers. To produce the expected product, researchers used the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) method. The activity of preparing the e-Module based Content Based Instruction (CBI) Design in the Reading for Academic Purpose Course to determine the effectiveness of using module in the English Education Study Program is carried out in three stages, namely: (1) Preliminary Study, including the study of reading theory for academic purposes, Content Based Instruction (CBI) theory, as well as UNUSmartDaring software; (2) designing module, compiling module assessment instrument, compiling the evaluation instrument; and (3) Product Testing stage, module review by experts, small-scale trials, online use trials, classroom use, evaluation and module based Content Based Instruction (CBI) for teaching Reading. The average value obtained was 41.4 with good category based on the result of validation analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: The internet of things, which was known in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, can make it easier for teenagers to get information and access the internet everywhere. Excessive use of the internet and always sacrificing important activities by teenagers can be called information technology addiction. Examples of information technology addictions that have a negative impact are aggressive and non-aggressive online game addiction. The negative impact of online game addiction for adolescents is the disruption of social development, social interaction, self-esteem, sympathy, affection for others, and the inability to control themselves. The study aimed to examine the description of social intelligence, love, and self-regulation in adolescents with aggressive and non-aggressive online game addiction. The research population of adolescents from junior high and high school education levels in Malang City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey design. The instruments used were an online game addiction questionnaire, a social intelligence questionnaire, a love questionnaire, and a self-regulation questionnaire which was tested for validity and reliability using the Rasch Model. The results showed 1) the majority of adolescents experienced the more aggressive type of online game addiction than non-aggressive online games; 2) the majority of adolescents experiencing aggressive and non-aggressive types of online game addiction have low social intelligence, love, and self-regulation. Abstrak: Internet of things yang dikenal pada era revolusi industri 4.0 dapat mempermudah generasi remaja untuk mendapatkan informasi dan mengakses internet dimana-mana.Penggunaan internet yang berlebihan dan selalu mengorbankan kegiatan penting oleh remaja dapat disebut dengan adiksi teknologi informasi. Contoh adiksi teknologi informasi yang berdampak negatif yaitu adiksi game online jenis agresif dan non agresif. Dampak negatif dari adiksi game online bagi remaja adalah terganggunya pengembangan sosial, interaksi sosial, harga diri, simpati, kasih sayang kepada orang lain, dan tidak mampu mengontrol dirinya. Tujuam penelitian adalah untuk menelaah gambaran social intelligence, love, dan self-regulation pada remaja yang adiksi game online jenis agresif dan non agresif. Populasi penelitian remaja yang dari jenjang pendidikan SMP dan SMA di Kota Malang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuanititif dengan desain survei. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner adiksi game online, kuesioner social intelligence, kuesioner love, dan kuesioner self-regulation yang di uji valid dan realibitas menggunakan Rasch Model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) sebagian besar remaja lebih banyak mengalami adiksi game online jenis agresif dibandingkan game online jenis non agresif; 2) sebagian besar remaja mengalami adiksi game online jenis agresif dan non agresif memiliki social intellogence, love, dan self-regulation rendah

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe strategies in developing the academic culture of FIP Students along with its supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used is case study. The Research subjects include faculty and department leaders, lecturers, sub-academic staff, and students. Data collection is using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The result of the research shows: 1) the strategy on improving the academic culture of the students is to budget funds for scientific activities, collaborating student activities with academic activities, provide motivation and empowerment to students, involve students in research activities and community service, conduct training on scientific writing programs and plagiarism prevention, engaging students in various scientific competition events, facilitating the formation of a student scientific community, developing academic networks with foreign universities through student exchange, intensifying academic awareness; 2) supporting factors on improving student academic culture is the amount of financial and non-financial support from the leadership and availability of supporting resources, while the inhibiting factors are the low motivation of students to follow scientific activities and too many non-scientific activities in the work of student organizations. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi dalam meningkatkan budaya akademik Mahasiswa FIP beserta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi pimpinan fakultas dan jurusan, dosen, staf sub.bagian akademik, dan mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) strategi dalam meningkatkan budaya akademik mahasiswa adalah menganggarkan dana untuk kegiatan ilmiah, mensinergikan kegiatan kemahasiswaan dengan kegiatan akademik, memberikan motivasi dan penguatan kepada mahasiswa, melibatkan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan penelitian dan pengabdian manyarakat, mengadakan pelatihan kepenulisan ilmiah dan pencegahan plagiasi, mengikutsertakan mahasiwa dalam berbagai kegiatan kompetisi ilmiah, memfasilitasi pembentukan komunitas ilmiah mahasiswa, membangun jejaring akademik dengan perguruan tinggi luar negeri melalui student exchange, mengintensifkan kepenasehatan akademik; 2) faktor pendukung dalam meningkatkan budaya akademik mahasiswa adalah besarnya dukungan finansial dan non finansial dari pimpinan dan tersedianya sumberdaya pendukung, sementara faktor penghambat adalah rendahnya motivasi mahasiswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ilmiah dan terlalu banyak kegiatan non ilmiah dalam program kerja organisasi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The student’s choice of entry into the school is one that each student will consider. A good school according to a student’s choice would have a good effect on student himself. There are many options for students to consider in their choice of schools, one for high school performance. Therefore, to make the choice of researches to analyze what factors affect students in their choice of high-quality schools. The purpose of the study is to discover what factors influence students in choosing high-quality school to achieve desired school goals and to make it easier for students to select high-quality school. The study employs a quantitative approach of descriptive and exploratory. Descriptive research studies the problems of society, ordinances that apply to society and specific situations, including those of relationships, activities, attitudes, views, and processes that are taking place and the influences of the phenomenon. Studies have shown same factors that have emerged from school achievement factors with a percentage of variances 45,87 percent, a journal with a percentage of variances 24,28 percent, a school facility with a percentage of variances 12,55 percent, a method of study factor with a percentage of varians 8,77 percent and an alumunus quality factor of 8,57 percent. Abstrak: Pilihan siswa dalam memasuki sekolah merupakan hal yang dipertimbangkan oleh tiap siswa. Sekolah yang baik menurut pilihan siswa akan memberikan dampak yang bagus bagi siswa itu sendiri. Banyak opsi yang akan dijadikan pertimbangan siswa dalam memilih sekolah, salah satunya pada SMAN berprestasi. Oleh sebab itu, untuk memaksimalkan pilihan siswa peneliti menganalisis faktor-faktor apa saja mempengaruhi siswa dalam memilih sekolah berprestasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi siswa dalam memilih sekolah berprestasi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran di sekolah yang diinginkan serta memudahkan siswa dalam memilih sekolah berprestasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yaitu deskriptif dan eksploratori. Penelitian deskriptif mempelajari masalah-masalah dalam masyarakat, tata cara yang berlaku dalam masyarakat serta situasi-situasi tertentu, termasuk tentang hubungan, kegiatan-kegiatan, sikap, pandangan, serta proses yang sedang berlangsung dan pengaruh-pengaruh dari situasi fenomena. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa faktor yang muncul yakni faktor prestasi sekolah dengan persentase varians 45,87 persen, faktor kedisiplinan dengan persentase varians 24,28 persen, faktor fasilitas sekolah dengan persentase varians 12,55 persen, faktor metode pembelajaran dengan persentase varians 8,77 persen, serta faktor kualitas alumnus dengan persentase varians 8,57 persen.

Abstract

Abstract: Mistakes made by students in working on math problems seen from the pattern of students when completing the questions given. The purpose of this study is to look at junior high school student’s mistakes in working on math problems based on Newman’s error analysis of statistical material in terms of student learning styles. The subject of this study were 25 students of class IX at SMPN 1 Mandau in Bengkalis Regency. Research data were collected using written tests and questionnaires to determine student learning styles. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study were analyzed based on Newman’s error analysis with indicators of errors in reading, errors in understanding problems, errors in transformation, errors in process skills, and writing answers. Student learning styles are group into divergent, convergent, assimilation and accommodation. Errors in transformation generally made to students with divergent, convergent, and accommodation learning styles. Students with an assimilation learning style make more mistakes in process skills. The error is divide into several errors ranging from inappropriate in giving answers to those who do not provide the answer. Abstrak: Kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal matematika terlihat dari pola siswa saat menyelesaikan soal-soal yang diberikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat kesalahan siswa SMP dalam mengerjakan soal matematika berdasarkan analisis kesalahan Newman pada materi statistika ditinjau dari gaya belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian ini 25 siswa kelas IX di SMPN 1 Mandau di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan angket untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan analisis kesalahan Newman dengan indikator kesalahan dalam membaca, kesalahan memahami masalah, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban. Gaya belajar siswa dikelompokkan menjadi gaya belajar divergen, konvergen, asimilasi dan akomodasi. Kesalahan dalam transformasi lebih banyak dilakukan oleh siswa dengan gaya belajar divergen, konvergen, dan akomodasi. Siswa dengan gaya belajar asimilasi lebih banyak melakukan kesalahan pada keterampilan proses. Kesalahan tersebut terbagi dalam beberapa kesalahan mulai dari yang kurang tepat dalam memberikan jawaban sampai dengan yang tidak memberikan jawaban.

Abstract

Abstract: The effectiveness of learning through virtual media is increasingly achieving its goals if lecturers and students can develop instructional video media as virtual learning materials. The use of instructional videos in the learning process needs to be systematically designed so that learning media can be used effectively, experience learning-based learning videos so that they are more contextual about the local wisdom of the community. The research objective was to produce a learning model and learning materials for the development of virtual learning video media based on local wisdom of the community through learning experience for students of the Department Non-Formal Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Malang. The research method used is the development (research development) development research model is an attempt to develop and validate educational products. The research design is systematical as follows: (1) the stage of analyzing, (2) the writing stage, (3) the stage of expert assessment and revising, and (4) the stage of the limited trial of the readability of the contents of learning materials related to understanding the content. The conclusion is based on the data analysis of the results of the content assessment on the development of learning materials for making virtual learning video media based on local wisdom of the community through a learning experience in the subject of learning resources and learning media department non-formal educations obtained valid results.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is to describe the conditions of digital literacy activities in Palembang Civil Aviation Polytechnic employees at work. Respondents are all employees of the Palembang Civil Aviation Polytechnic. Data were collected by interview and questionnaire. The research was conducted with a qualitative method using a descriptive approach. The results of the study reveal that the activities of the Palembang Civil Aviation Polytechnic employees make digital literacy a means to help carry out work in the office. Apart from working, employees also use digital media to communicate, coordinate and seek pleasure. With this research, it is hoped that it will become an input for the Palembang Civil Aviation Polytechnic to increase the literacy of digital employees so that it will improve employee performance to achieve the vision of the organization Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggambarkan kondisi aktivitas literasi digital pegawai Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang dalam bekerja. Responden adalah seluruh pegawai Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan deskriftif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan aktivitas pegawai Politeknik Penerbangan palembang mejadikan literasi digital sebagai sarana untuk membantu melaksanakan pekerjaan di kantor. Selain untuk bekerja, pegawai juga menggunakan literasi media digital untuk berkomunikasi, berkoordinasi dan mencari kesenangan. Dengan adanya penilitian ini diharapkan menjadi bahan masukan bagi manajemen Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang untuk lebih meningkatkan literasi digital para pegawai, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja para pegawai dalam mencapai visi organisasi.

Abstract

Abstract: The low ability of students to solve problems about surface area and volume of flat side spaces is still a concern and needs improvement. Conducting analysis of student errors is one of the improvement efforts. This study aims to describe the types of errors made by junior high school students in solving surface area problems and the volume of flat side space. This type of research is a qualitative description. Data collection was carried out by means of written tests and interviews. Written tests are used to look at students 'mistakes, while interviews are used to find out more about students' understanding of the questions given. The results of this study indicate that the errors made by students in completing the problem of surface area and volume of flat side space are: 1) conceptual errors, 2) operating errors and 3) procedural errors. The percentage of conceptual errors, which is 41.11 percent. The percentage of operating errors was 6.11 percent, and the percentage of procedural errors was 21.67 percent. Given the large percentage of conceptual errors made by students, it is expected to be able to change the teacher's strategy in teaching the material surface area and volume of flat side spaces to better enhance students' conceptual understanding. Abstrak: Rendahnya kemampuan siswa untuk memecahkan masalah tentang luas permukaan dan volume ruang sisi datar masih menjadi perhatian dan perlu perbaikan. Melakukan analisis kesalahan siswa adalah salah satu upaya peningkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis kesalahan yang dibuat oleh siswa sekolah menengah pertama dalam memecahkan masalah luas permukaan dan volume ruang sisi datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis dan wawancara. Tes tertulis digunakan untuk melihat kesalahan siswa, sedangkan wawancara digunakan untuk mencari tahu lebih banyak tentang pemahaman siswa tentang pertanyaan yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah luas permukaan dan volume ruang sisi datar adalah: 1) kesalahan konseptual, 2) kesalahan teknikal dan 3) kesalahan prosedural. Persentase kesalahan konseptual, yaitu 41,11 persen. Persentase kesalahan teknikal adalah 6,11 persen, dan persentase kesalahan prosedural adalah 21,67 persen. Mengingat persentase besar kesalahan konseptual yang dibuat oleh siswa, diharapkan dapat mengubah strategi guru dalam mengajar area permukaan material dan volume ruang sisi datar untuk lebih meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa.
