Abstract

This research aims to analyze religious moderation in the context of Islamic Religious Education learning at Junior High School and the strategies applied in implementing religious moderation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation and semi-structured interviews. The research was carried out at Junior High School, which has heterogeneous students with different religious and ethnic backgrounds. The SWOT analysis results show that strength lies in the independent curriculum and teacher competence in religious moderation. However, weaknesses arise from limited resources and teachers' theoretical understanding. Opportunities lie in awareness of the diversity of Indonesian society and support from external parties such as the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB). The threat comes from resistance to religious moderation and information imbalance. The implementation of religious moderation in Islamic Religious Education learning has great potential. Strengthening teacher training, collaborating with external parties, and utilizing educational technology are strategies that can be taken to overcome challenges. These steps are expected to improve the quality of learning and form moderate character in students.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) Obtain empirical data on the needs analysis for developing electrical and magnetic learning devices using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) approach assisted by Conceptual Change Text (CCT), and 2) Gather comprehensive information on designing a syllabus for electricity and magnetism using POE assisted by CCT. This qualitative research focuses on the define and design stages of the 4D model and involves 30 second-semester students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, including 6 men and 24 women, enrolled in the Basic Science Concepts course. Data collection methods included interviews to develop and validate a product based on needs analysis, such as graduate learning outcomes related to the course, relevant study materials, learning methods, time allocation, learning resources, references, learning media, and assessment criteria. The data was analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings of this study confirm that 1) A learning tool using the POE-CCT approach is necessary to reduce misconceptions among prospective elementary school teachers, particularly in understanding the domains of electricity and magnetism, which are conceptually complex. The designed syllabus aims to address these misconceptions by incorporating POE learning tools assisted by CCT. This includes stages where students predict outcomes and reasons, observe and record their findings, and explain their observations followed by class discussions. 2) The syllabus development stage, based on needs analysis, results in POE learning tools with CCT assistance that promote independent prediction, observation, and explanation. This structured approach enhances active engagement, deeper understanding, and conceptual refinement through collaborative discourse, promising improved comprehension and retention of complex scientific concepts in the classroom.

Abstract

The rapid increase in the number of schools necessitates the evaluation of educational quality across all institutions, including both private and state-run schools, with a particular focus on Islamic schools. Organizational performance serves as a key indicator of an institution's effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the impact of organizational structure, conflict management, and internal control on the work environment and effectiveness of teachers in Islamic schools in Banten. The study population comprised teachers from Islamic schools in Banten, with a total sample size of 58 teachers. Data analysis was conducted using path analysis to assess the relationships between the variables. The analysis revealed that organizational structure, conflict management, and internal control positively influenced the teachers' work environment. Furthermore, the organizational structure was found to have a significant impact on work effectiveness. However, conflict management and internal control did not show a significant effect on teachers' work effectiveness. Additionally, the work environment had a positive effect on the effectiveness of the teachers' work. The findings indicate that a well-defined organizational structure enhances both the work environment and the effectiveness of teachers in Islamic schools. While conflict management and internal control are beneficial for improving the work environment, they do not directly influence work effectiveness. The positive correlation between the work environment and teacher effectiveness underscores the importance of fostering a supportive and well-structured organizational setting. This study underscores the critical role of organizational structure in enhancing teacher effectiveness in Islamic schools. While conflict management and internal control improve the work environment, their direct impact on effectiveness is limited. Creating a conducive work environment remains essential for maximizing the performance of teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to test the micro role-playing method for children's social development in an Islamic Kindergarten in Bukittinggi City. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods, with a research-designed group pretest-posttest. Data collection techniques use observation and data analysis techniques using homogeneity tests, normality tests, and t-tests. The sample for this research was ten young children aged 5-6 years. The results show that from the pre-test. The researchers got (6.7) in the undeveloped category. After doing a pretest, researchers did treatment times with treatment (7.8) categorized as not yet developed, treatment 2 (9.2) categorized as starting to develop, treatment 3 (12.7) believed to be starting to develop, and treatment 4th (19.4) was categorized as developing as expected. The researcher did a post-test with results (19.7) categorized as developing as expected. Comparing the magnitude of t obtained by calculation (t = 43.33) and the magnitude of t listed in the t value table at the 5% significance level, namely 2.26, it is known that t0 is greater than t, namely 43.33 2.26. Because t0 is greater than t1 the value hypothesis (h0) proposed is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted (ha). This means that the micro role-playing method can improve the social development of children in kindergarten.
