Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of SD Angkasa Colomadu teachers on online science learning during the pandemic. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods and a case study approach. The subjects of this study were three teachers of grades IV, V, and VI SD Angkasa Colomadu in the academic year 2020/2021. Data collection techniques used interviews and documentation. The data validity test techniques used the triangulation technique. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis techniques Miles and Huberman consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results show that the teachers felt that learning sciences in the network was not optimal. Teachers do not optimally apply basic process skills. The teachers feel the limitation in the communication process.  They also have a restriction on directing the students to formulate hypotheses, conclude the material, guide experimental activities, attract students to ask questions, guide the measurement process, guide observation activities, classify, interpret, and predict processes due to media limitations. On the other hand, teachers feel that online learning makes teachers more innovative, creative, and able to take advantage of cellphones, computers, and the internet in learning activities, especially in learning science online during the pandemic period.

Abstract

This research focused on developing the learning assessment teacher of Madrasah Aliyah by strengthening Islamic psychosocial and emotional intelligence, using ex post facto research design and involving 297 Madrasah Aliyah teachers in 12 regencies/cities Riau Province, Indonesia. A questionnaire was made to measure Islamic psychosocial and emotional intelligence and measure learning assessment madrasah teachers. The data were analyzed using inferential statistics. The research results show that the gender levels of the madrasah aliyah teachers influence Islamic psychosocial but do not affect emotional intelligence and learning assessment. It confirms that male and female teachers do not have different emotional intelligence and teacher learning assessment, but Islamic psychosocial effects are affected. Madrasah teachers' teaching experience affects Islamic psychosocial, emotional intelligence, and learning assessment of madrasah aliyah teachers. This research shows that Islamic psychosocial contribution is "strong" in developing teacher learning assessments, while emotional intelligence has a "strong enough" effect. This research concludes that the learning assessment of madrasah teachers can be maximally developed by simultaneously mastering Islamic psychosocial and emotional intelligence in madrasah. This research has implications for the theory of "developing learning assessment for madrasah teachers" in developing the professionalism of madrasah teachers.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are one of the important components that students must master to be successful in the 21st century. The HOTS of students in several regions in Indonesia is low because HOTS-based learning and the instruments are not appropriate. This study aims to determine the validity and reliability of the HOTS assessment content, empirical, and constructs referring to bloom theory in laboratory work. The development model used is the Plomp development model, which consists of five stages: initial investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation and revision, and implementation. The HOTS assessment was proven relevant by experts and then distributed to 70 Physics Education students. The HOTS assessment was analyzed by rash model theory analysis with the Winstep program to obtain empirical validity. SEM (Structural Equation Model) was used to obtain construct validity. The results showed that the HOTS assessment was valid and reliable. The results show that the assessment has been able to measure every aspect of HOTS well in laboratory work so that it can be used.

Abstract

The research objective was to get the use of teachers’ self-monitoring strategies in conducting performance evaluations, so that the quality of learning in class becomes high quality. The research method used descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews. The data analysis technique consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research was conducted at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute of Technology and Business Jakarta. The results showed that the teacher always evaluated the performance of the learning and teaching process on a regular basis, namely at the end of each semester. This is done to evaluate the overall learning outcomes. Meanwhile, learning evaluation is also carried out after each learning process by students’ input. The implication of the research results is the development of a teacher’s performance evaluation system at the University, either carried out by individual or university leaders
