Abstract

Based on the results of observations and direct interaction with students of the Social Studies Education Study Program of UIN KHAS Jember as many as 65 students, both male and female, who are still active from semester 2 to semester 6 for 3 months, this study found that the results of student understanding of certain courses are greatly influenced by the learning system provided by the lecturer. The more the lecturer gives many reasoning tasks and also summarizes the material, the student's interest in learning also increases. In addition, the more creative the lecturer is in using learning methods, the more active and easier it is for students to achieve the expected learning objectives. However, whether the 65 students who were used as respondents can grasp the material quickly, moderately or slowly, this is what is interesting to study. The results of the hypothesis in this study, effective learning methods and strategies are needed to achieve learning objectives that can be obtained by each student. So to be able to teach well, before teaching a teacher must be able to answer three main questions, namely: 1) will students be able to learn?, 2) how to organize students so that they can achieve their learning objectives well?, 3) what things must be done related to individual differences that students have? Using a phenomenological approach, this study concludes that in the context of higher education, visual learning styles, auditory learning styles, and kinesthetic learning styles have a positive relationship or influence on student learning behavior in understanding learning materials. Increasing understanding of visual learning styles, auditory learning styles, and kinesthetic learning styles is one of the crucial aspects in preparing students to become competent and effective educators in today's educational context.

Abstract

Indonesia is a diverse archipelagic country where it holds uniqueness in every corner. Uniting diversity is not an easy thing even though the majority of the community is Muslim but religious conflicts still often occur due to a lack of tolerance towards other people. So the purpose of this study is to describe the Importance of Building Religious Tolerance in Indonesia Through Multicultural Education in an Islamic Perspective. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach, then the data are collected both primary and secondary by careful observation techniques, then analyzed, and finally concluded descriptively. The results of the study show that the Importance of Building Religious Tolerance in Indonesia Through Multicultural Education from an Islamic Perspective is to be able to build an inclusive religious and diversity paradigm, followed by respecting the diversity of cultures, languages, ethnicities, races, and religions. And the last is to build a gender-sensitive attitude. These three things in Islam are under the principles of maqosidu sharia, one of which is closely related to ad-din/religion.

Abstract

In the current conditions, where the carrying capacity of the earth is increasingly threatened by human activities, Sufism life practice is emerging as an attractive alternative response. With a focus on sufficiency and simplification of desires, the principles of Sufism offer a relevant view in addressing the increasingly critical decline in the earth's carrying capacity. The concept of the earth's carrying capacity refers to the earth's ability to provide natural resources and absorb waste in a sustainable manner. The increasing criticality of these indicators suggests that the earth may no longer be able to sustain human life and ecosystems sustainably if no action is taken to change human patterns of behavior and policies. Awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability is increasing as humans are increasingly aware of the negative impact of their activities on the environment. This encourages efforts to reduce the human ecological footprint through environmentally friendly practices and more sustainable policies. This article aims to explore the concept of Sufism life practice as a form of response to environmental challenges faced today. With due regard to the urgency of environmental protection, faced at this time. Taking into account the urgency of environmental protection, this article discusses how fulfilling needs and simplifying desires can be an effective first step in maintaining the sustainability of our earth. It is hoped that through this research, new views will be opened on the importance of integrating Sufism values in an effort to preserve the earth as a common home for mankind. This research uses a literature study approach with data sources and information obtained referring to literacy materials for journal articles, research results, and scientific theories relevant to the topic. Data collection techniques use information review and document analysis.

Abstract

Abstract This article reviews the model of human resource development (HRD) based on spirituality as its main focus within Islamic Financial Institutions, specifically the KSPPS under the Association of Islamic Cooperatives of NU Members (ASKOWANU) in Jepara. The model applied in human resource development incorporates the dimensions of workplace spirituality, which include meaningful work, sense of community, and alignment with organizational values. These three dimensions form the construct variable of spirituality in the workplace. Meaningful work is at the individual level, sense of community is at the group level, while alignment with organizational values is at the organizational level. By implementing these three aspects, companies or organizations will gain not only material but also immaterial and spiritual benefits. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach, where the researcher examines the phenomena occurring in the research object. The study concludes that, in general, Islamic financial institutions have already implemented spirituality-based human resource development, but it has not been effective. Therefore, strategic steps are necessary to implement these three aspects operationally within the institution/organization.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Islamic views and responds towards the concept of democracy based on the ideal concept and historical reality of Muslim politics. This research uses a qualitative method with a narrative approach and uses literature studies in data collection techniques. Islamic views on the concept of democracy are divided into two groups, namely groups that reject and accept democracy as a state system. The group that rejects the concept of democracy has the argument that the concept of democracy is contrary to Islamic teachings, and the sovereignty of God is the highest power compared to the sovereignty of the people. Meanwhile, the accepting group has an argument that democracy is in harmony with Islamic teachings and the implementation of democracy is permitted as long as it does not conflict with Islamic law. Meanwhile, based on the political reality of Muslims, the implementation of democracy is closely related to the cultural and political conditions of Islamic- majority countries, where in some Islamic-majority countries democracy is rejected as a system of government, but on the other hand democratization is rapidly developing into a system of government in several other Islamic- majority countries.

Abstract

Reducing food waste is a very serious problem in the world, with a predicted increase in food demand by 50-70% by 2050. Indonesia, as a Muslim-majority country, ranks No. 2 after Saudi Arabia as the largest producer of food waste. The impact of this food waste extends to areas such as the economy, society, and the environment. The Sufism approach emphasizes simplicity, gratitude, and recognition of responsibility to nature. This approach provides a holistic solution that focuses not only on technical aspects, but also spiritual and ethical aspects. This research shows that consumption ethics in Islam influence people's behavior in managing food resources and reducing food wastage. Sufism, as a branch of mysticism in Islam, teaches the values of ethics, obedience, and wisdom in daily behavior, including reducing food waste production. By understanding food waste management behavior, this research hopes to help maximize household food management efficiency and reduce food waste.

Abstract

Consumerism is the habit of buying things that are less necessary, while hedonism refers to the idea that the main goal of life is happiness. These two behaviors are often related and have a negative influence on the environment. A review of Sufism and ecology will help us in understanding the consequences of consumerism and hedonism on the environment. Sufism provides a religious view of life, justice, and simplicity. Ecology includes aspects of the environment and life related to health, well-being, and balance. By examining the impact of consumerism and hedonism on the decline in the carrying capacity of the environment, and by utilizing the perspectives of Sufism and ecology. This research explores these concepts in the context of environmental sustainability and human well-being. Thus, this research is expected to provide new insights in efforts to overcome environmental challenges faced by modern society.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of the concepts of faith, Islam, and ikhsan on individual attitudes and actions in the face of ecological disasters. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative analysis of primary and secondary data. The results showed that the concept of faith provides a strong moral foundation for individuals to act proactively in the face of ecological disasters. In addition, Islamic principles provide in-depth ethical guidance in safeguarding the natural environment. The concept of ikhsan, which refers to perfection in worship, also plays a role in shaping the attitude of individuals who care about the environment. The implication of these findings is the need for the integration of religious values in efforts to mitigate and adapt to ecological disasters in order to create a more environmentally conscious and responsible society.
