Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe: 1) the implementation of dance training to increase students self-confidence, 2) supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the teacher's role in dance training; 3) solutions made in overcoming obstacles from implementing the teacher's role in dance training. This research uses the descriptive analysis method. Data collection methods in this study: observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research show: 1) The implementation of dance art training to increase students' self-confidence is carried out in the thematic lessons of SBdP content; 2) Factors supporting the implementation of the teacher's role in dance training are the enthusiasm and spirit of students who can memorize movements quickly, while the inhibiting factors are: some students who feel embarrassed when practicing dance in front of their friends, and the existence of the covid pandemic - 19 causing dance training to be delayed or even stopped, as well as inadequate facilities and infrastructure; 3) The solution that can be done is to continue to practice dance by utilizing existing facilities and infrastructure, while online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out by asking students to learn dance from home by their cellphones, in addition to giving assignments make their dance moves to increase self-confidence in students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model assisted by pop up book on students' critical thinking skills. The method used is an experimental design with pre-test and post-test design. The population used in this study was all grade IV students of SD Negeri Gedanganak 03, IVa as a control class and IVb as an experimental class. the data collection techniques used are test techniques and non-test techniques in the form of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and regression tests. the results show an influence of the PBL learning model using pop-up book media on students' critical thinking skills as evidenced by tcount = 5.516 > ttable = 3.828 and significant values 0.000 < 0.05. as well as affecting the variable of students' critical thinking ability by 58%, the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model assisted by pop up book media affects the variable of critical thinking ability by 58%. this shows that the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model assisted by Pop Up Book media affects students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study uses the drill method to discuss the learning process of the Sigeh Pengunten Dance at SD N 3 Poncowati. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The techniques used in collecting data are complete participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and non-tests. The learning theory used is Bloom's theory. The research process was carried out for 10 days with 2 days of observation and 8 days of drill method application. The class teacher applies the lesson by presenting material about the history and function of the Sigeh Pengunten Dance. The class teacher prepares speakers and videos so that students can observe the movements of the Sigeh Pengunten Dance more clearly. In the process of applying the drill method, students prepare by warming up first. Students carry out the Sigeh Pengunten Dance range of motion exercises by following the directions of the class teacher and examples of the range of motions given by the researcher. The range of movements of the Sigeh Pengunten Dance is divided into 3 parts: the range of movements of part 1, the range of movements of part 2, and the range of movements of part 3. All parts of the range of movements have been sequential according to the composition of the Sigeh Pengunten Dance. In the learning process teachers and researchers are open to actively involving students to move following the examples of the range of motion given, openly react, and respond to the student's training process. At the last meeting, students were shown to be able to perform the Sigeh Pengunten Dance memorized and skilled which was witnessed by their colleagues and the school.

Abstract

The effect of the play therapy method using claws and pom-poms media with claws and pom-poms media on the ability to recognize color in class IV mild mentally retarded children at Marsudi Putra 1 SLB. This research was conducted at Marsudi Putra 1 SLB from April 2023 to May 2023. This study aims to determine the effect of the Play Therapy method with tweezers and pom-poms on the ability to recognize color in children with mild mental retardation, a type of research that uses a quantitative approach with a pre-designed -Experimental. The type used is (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) because in this study it compared conditions before and after being given treatment. This situation was measured using tests related to the ability to recognize colors after being given treatment using claw and pom-pom media. In conducting data collection is done by pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was found that there was an increase in the ability to recognize colors, thus it can be concluded that the play therapy method with tweezers and pom-pom media had an effect.

Abstract

There are still many teachers who conduct learning that is not fun or seems monotonous, causing a lack of interest in learning from students. So, this needs to be done Ice Breaking to break the atmosphere of the class. Good implementation of ice breaking in the learning process in the classroom can improve students' learning concentration ability, ability to absorb, learning interest, learning attention, and learning outcomes, and can improve student achievement. By implementing ice-breaking in learning, it is hoped that students will be able to learn in a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with triangulation techniques. The validity of the interview material was tested through observation techniques and an in-depth examination of activities related to the research material. The researcher then analyzed the material at the data reduction stage, presented the data, and then drew conclusions. The results of this study are the benefits of implementing ice breaking at SDN Blok I Cilegon, which has a very good impact because it will be able to restore conditions, and the class will be more conducive for students to concentrate on the teacher delivering the subject matter.  Although the ice breaking used is only light physical movement activities by moving the limbs, such as yells, clapping together, singing or cheering songs. The implementation of ice-breaking can also affect the learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the perception of Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) students regarding the use of the SiPeDar Learning Platform in the academic environment. The research method employed was a survey using a questionnaire as the primary instrument. The respondents in this study were active PGSD students who used SiPeDar in their learning processes. The main findings of this research indicate that 90% of PGSD students at UST Yogyakarta have a good understanding of SiPeDar usage and feel comfortable operating it. Factors such as the availability of technological resources and support from instructors also have a positive impact on students' perceptions of the quality and effectiveness of SiPeDar, with 95% acknowledging this influence. Furthermore, a significant majority of students expressed satisfaction with the use of SiPeDar in the learning process. The results of this research can provide valuable insights to educational institutions and developers of similar learning platforms to enhance the use of SiPeDar and support more effective distance learning in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the level of critical thinking ability of fifth grade students based on visual learning style; 2) auditory; 3) kinesthetic. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects came from class V SDN 10 Kelapa Kampit Belitung Timur based on the results of questionnaire data processing with Rasch Model assisted by WinSteps Software, 6 subjects were selected, namely 2 people with visual learning styles, 2 people with auditory learning styles, and 2 people with kinesthetic learning styles. Then the subject was given a test in the form of a written description question, then the answers were analyzed and an interview was conducted. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The data collection techniques of this research are test and non-test techniques in the form of learning style questionnaires, critical thinking ability tests, and in-depth interviews on research subjects. The results showed that: 1) students with visual learning styles are able to fulfill 5 indicators of critical thinking ability. Students with visual learning styles are included in the very high level critical thinking category with a percentage of 84% and 92%; 2) students with auditory learning styles are able to fulfill 4 indicators of critical thinking ability. Students with auditory learning styles are included in the high level critical thinking category with a percentage of 76% and 80%; 3) students with kinesthetic learning styles are only able to fulfill 2 indicators of critical thinking ability. Students with kinesthetic learning styles belong to the low-level critical thinking category with a percentage of 32% and 40%.

Abstract

The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic in the world has had a huge impact on various sectors of life, including education. Learning in schools has changed from face-to-face to online. All stakeholders are required to be able to adapt to this change. SD N 1 Morotai is one of the schools that carries out online learning. However, the school admits that online learning encounters various obstacles, such as: gadgets, laptops, internet networks, and students' interest in participating in online learning. Based on this, this research will describe teachers' strategies for increasing students' online interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SD 1 Morotai. The data in this research will be processed qualitatively using descriptive methods. Data collection methods use observation, interview and documentation techniques. The research results show that teachers' strategies for increasing students' interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic online at SD N 1 Morotai are: (a) The teaching materials implemented by teachers in increasing students' interest in learning are by compiling teaching materials that contain information about learning materials in the form of documents that can be downloaded on students' learning devices. (b) The learning media implemented by teachers in increasing students' online interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic are Google Meet media as a virtual class, WA groups as a means of joint communication, and PPT for delivering learning material.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the needs of teachers and students regarding the development of the Puzzle Pohon Tubel media; 2) describe the development process of the Puzzle Pohon Tubel media; 3) determine the feasibility of the Puzzle Pohon Tubel media; and 4) determine students’ responses to the Puzzle Pohon Tubel media in early reading skills. This research is a research and development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were first-grade students of SD Negeri Turi 3 Sleman. The object of this research is the Puzzle Pohon Tubel media, which was designed as a learning tool to support early reading instruction. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used both qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results show that: 1) the Puzzle Pohon Tubel media was successfully developed according to the needs of students and teachers; 2) the media is highly feasible based on expert validation, with scores of 94.64% from material experts, 92.13% from media experts, and 98.15% from teacher assessments; 3) students’ responses were in the “very good” category with a score of 93.15%. The media helps increase student enthusiasm and supports interactive and enjoyable learning.

Abstract

The issue of low implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) among elementary school students, particularly in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning, has become a concern in efforts to enhance problem-solving skills. This study aims to develop a PBL-based educational module that can improve problem-solving skills in Grade V elementary school students. This research is categorized as Research and Development (R&D), with stages including design, expert validation, limited trials, and evaluation. The research subjects consist of two groups: a control group and an experimental group, with the latter being treated using the PBL module. Data collection was conducted through observations, questionnaires, and problem-solving ability tests. Data analysis employed normality tests and parametric statistical tests to determine differences in results between the groups. The findings indicate that the PBL-based educational module is feasible, effective, and practical for enhancing students' problem-solving skills. These results support the research goal, demonstrating that the development of the PBL-based educational module positively influences students' problem-solving abilities. However, several components, such as lesson design and module content, still require further refinement. This research provides an important contribution to the development of an applicable PBL teaching module in IPAS learning, aimed at enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in elementary school students.
