Abstract

Today’s education tends to be conventional as it is merely indicated by transferring knowledge from teachers to students. In addition, a development on character is also often overlooked. The poor empathy between student and student as well as student and teacher must be very concerning. This study focuses on the achievement of students in acquiring knowledge, interpreting processes, evaluating, and making decision. The method in this study is qualitative. Data were collected using interview, observation, and documentation. Then, the three questions were asked, which were: 1) how do students acquire knowledge in meaningful learning? 2) how do students raise the empathy in everyday life? and 3) what are the roles of the facilitators in learning?. Based on the responses, three answers can be clustered, which were: 1) students gain knowledge from others and the surrounding environment provided the same opportunity to convey ideas by sitting together, 2) students learn to raise empathy through equal dialogue, and 3) the role of the facilitators is to encourage students to independently explore the surrounding environment and learn to respect others. Hence, this study is expected to aspire and to become a recommendation for formal schools in order to create a meaningful learning process and to raise empathy.

Abstract

Education is not only a transfer of knowledge but also useful for developing 21st-century skills. One of the 21st-century skills is critical thinking. Critical thinking disposition is a requirement to be able to master critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to explore the critical thinking disposition of students SMP Negeri 2 Balai. This research is quantitative descriptive research using the survey method. Research respondents totaled 243 students. The instrument used was adapted from the Student-Educator Negotiated Critical Thinking Dispositions Scale (SENCTDS). SENCTDS consists of 21 questions in the form of a Likert scale with 5 choices of response scales. From the research, it is known that students have a high category disposition on reflection (3,48), organisation (3,60), perseverance (3,63), and intrinsic goal motivation (3,53). Low category disposition on attentiveness (2,85) and open-mindedness (2,67). The study revealed that students' critical thinking dispositions decreased with the increase in grades.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kebijakan merdeka belajar dalam penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode telaah kajian pustaka dan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil bahwa implementasi kebijakan merdeka belajar telah berjalan namun terdapat beberapa hal yang menjadi kendalanya salah satunya adalah belum sepenuhnya memahami esensi dari “merdeka belajar” sehingga belum dapat mengoptimalkan penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Diharapkan akan ada penelitian lanjutan yang langsung mengobservasi lapangan agar memperoleh informasi secara langsung untuk memberikan solusi alternatif pada kebijakan pemerintah terkait Pendidikan pada tahap berikutnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the CBSA approach and differentiation learning in Indonesian language learning. This research was conducted by analyzing the literature on studies that took the CBSA approach and differentiation learning in Indonesian language learning. The data obtained in this study are secondary data. Secondary data is a variety of information that has been there before and deliberately collected by researchers that is used to complement the needs of research data. This study uses qualitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the literature analysis on the CBSA approach and differentiated learning, it can be concluded that: 1) the CBSA approach, especially in Indonesian subjects, can improve learning outcomes, reading skills, and literacy skills of elementary school students. This indicates that the CBSA approach has been widely studied and deserves to be developed in other studies according to their respective variables, 2) differentiated learning in Indonesian language learning makes a positive contribution to learning outcomes, students' literacy skills and even becomes a reflection material for teachers in schools. basic, 3) there are some similarities in the CBSA approach and differentiated learning in the independent learning curriculum so that the connection is that the CBSA approach can be integrated in differentiated learning, especially in Indonesian subjects

Abstract

The rapid improvement of science and generation today has caused many innovations in the use of technological consequences that may facilitate people in learning sports. The splendor of the physical appearance significantly impacts the gaining knowledge of method, the more attractive the media show, the greater prompted college students are to learn it impacts pupil learning effects. The pandemic length demands that pupil learning be done remotely. This studies technique makes use of a qualitative descriptive approach. The statistics collection method consisted of a questionnaire used to discover understanding abilties. topics who meet the criteria in this examine are junior high college students (SMP) in grade 9 with a total of 10 college students. The sampling approach on this studies used purposive sampling. The results confirmed that "Android application development as a arithmetic mastering Media for Flat Sided space building substances for Junior high faculty college students" acquired very feasible criteria due to the fact the effects of scholar responses to spatial packages that got the percentage of quiz achievement were 88%, the consequences for the evaluation questionnaire had been 92 % and had 90 % average.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of parents in distance learning in low-grade children at SDN Bontorannu 1, Mariso District, Makassar City by using a qualitative research type and using a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the role of parents in distance learning includes several aspects. Parents as facilitators prepare distance learning media that support children's needs, parents as companions and mentors guide in doing school assignments. The results of the study also show that there are obstacles that hinder distance learning, namely insufficient time to accompany children in the learning process because they have to work, lack of understanding of learning materials by parents, the ability to provide and operate mobile phones as learning media. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that suggestions, especially for the government, were expected to be used as a benchmark in determining policies in the field of education, and suggestions for parents were expected to provide information to parents as educators in the family, especially in the process of distance learning assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Edmodo-based blended learning model for improving student achievement in Sociology subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Terbanggi Besar and reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process using the developed learning design products. This type of research is R & D using 4D model development. The instruments in this study were expert validation sheets, teacher and student responses questionnaire sheets, and learning implementation observation sheets. The data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive analysis, expert validation data analysis, and test data analysis. The results of the research based on the data and discussion concluded that the product for developing the Edmodo-based blended learning model design to improve student learning achievement was declared valid, attractive, efficient and effective based on the assessments of experts, teachers and students. Suggestions given at least for the reader can develop into other aspects of the character or other subjects.

Abstract

Changes to the higher education curriculum are carried out periodically. This curriculum change must involve both internal and external stakeholders and must be in accordance with the National Higher Education Standards. The problem is that the Independent Learning Curriculum policy has been implemented by universities, but the 8 independent learning programs offered by the Ministry of Education and Culture have not shown satisfactory results. The challenge of implementing an independent learning curriculum from a student's point of view has not been done much, even though students are the stakeholders who are most affected by the implementation of this curriculum. In connection with these conditions, the purpose of this study is to describe the challenges of students in the MBKM program at the University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. The stages in this research use case study research with a mixed approach. The quantitative stage was carried out by means of a survey to students at the University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa about the perception of the implementation of the independent learning curriculum. This quantitative stage was analyzed descriptively quantitatively. In this qualitative stage, the students who were interviewed were conducted by purposive sampling. At the qualitative stage, it was done by analyzing the documents and the results of interviews about the independent learning of the independent curriculum. The results showed that the MBKM including its documents had been socialized to students. Although the results of the socialization did not produce a good effect because students did not understand about the number of semesters that could be equated in the form of MBKM outside their university, they had a positive perception of the usefulness of MBKM activities.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This was a preliminary study to explore the constructs on active instruction as perceived by Indonesian teachers at junior secondary schools in order having an appropriate measure for teaching. Secondary data, picked up from MGPBE under the sponsorship of European Union, were used. There were two steps of sampling process. Firstly, picking up by chance 917 participating teachers originated from seven provinces such as East Nusatenggara, West Nusatenggara, Central Java, West Java, South Celebes, South Borneo. Secondly, 207 teachers were randomly selected from the same provinces. Using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed eight factors namely training benefit, instruction plan, process of active instruction, teacher professional satisfaction, media use, instruction evaluation, classroom situation, and school climate. This study concluded that all the factors were statistically valid and reliable, ready to be used for wider range of districts in this country.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop e-comics based on heyzine flipbook on digestive system material for students of class VIII junior high school. This research was developed using a 4D development model which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data collection technique used in this study was observation, interviews, feasibility questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive were used to analyze the data obtained. The results of the study obtained that e-comics based on heyzine flipbook on the digestive system material for class VIII junior high school. The evaluation of the feasibility of e-comic by experts obtained 4.50 with very good criteria (SB). The product feasibility assessment by the science teacher got 4.68 with very good criteria (SB). The evaluation of the feasibility of e-comic by colleagues obtained 4.54 with very good criteria (SB). The results of student responses to the readability test of e-comic obtained an average value of 91% with very good criteria (SB). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of e-comics based on heyzine flipbook on digestive dystem material for class VIII junior high school students is suitable for use in science class VIII junior high school learning.
