Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of enhancing observation and questioning skills on learning outcomes, and to describe the relationship between these skills and science learning outcomes. The study included 86 fifth-grade students from four distinct rural elementary schools. Participants were divided into control and experimental groups. The collected data encompassed learning outcomes and metrics on observation and questioning skills. The impact of advancing observation and questioning skills was evaluated using an independent sample t-test at a 5% significance level. The Pearson correlation was employed to discern the relationship between these skills and learning outcomes. Results indicated that fostering observation and questioning skills significantly affects students' cognitive learning achievements. Additionally, both skills were found to have a positive and significant association with learning outcomes. While observation skills displayed a moderate relationship, questioning skills showcased a stronger correlation. Thus, enhancing these skills in science education is crucial for optimizing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Studying history may be very boring for students. This is what makes history learning less effective. Education is an effort aimed at developing personality and abilities for life. In education, students are individuals who are different from other people in a class. This explanation can be seen in terms of ability. Every country must have a national identityTraditional dances in Indonesia are very diverse and have their characteristics. This is because the ethnic groups in Indonesia are very numerous and diverse.  With advances in technology, it can be used as an alternative learning solution that is more creative and efficient. Therefore, it is the basis for expanding the application of learning about the history of heroes and dances on rupiah banknotes using the Augmented Reality Marker Training method. It is important to have a useful means of displaying and introducing each national hero featured on a particular currency By utilizing these technological Advances we can visualize images more realistically and in real-time, this is what will attract the interest of users, especially students, to use this application as a medium for learning the history of heroes and introducing regional dances found on the rupiah currency

Abstract

Plankton is an aquatic biota that lives following the currents in the water.  The life of plankton is highly dependent on the water quality in those aquatic environments. The constantly changing physical and chemical conditions of water lead to fluctuations in the abundance of plankton in a water. This study aims to analyze fluctuations in plankton abundance and its correlation with water quality in Percut Sei Tuan Waters. The study was conducted in February and March 2023. Filtration method at 3 stations is the Sampling technique used in this study. The sampling period is carried out in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Data analysis to determine the relationship between variables using Pearson correlation in SPSS version 26. Based on the research results, 42 genera of phytoplankton and 16 genera of zooplankton were found. The highest abundance of phytoplankton was 4.635 Ind/L during the afternoon. The highest abundance of zooplankton was obtained at evening, which was 1.049 Ind/L. This is due to the daily vertical migration of zooplankton and their negative phototactic behavior, while phytoplankton require light for photosynthesis. The research results indicate that the abundance of phytoplankton has a very strong correlation with temperature, light intensity, salinity, TSS, pH, DO, and Nitrate. The abundance of zooplankton is highly correlated with water flow velocity, light intensity, salinity, TSS, TDS, pH, DO, Nitrate, and Phosphate.

Abstract

Kedukang fish (Hexanematichthys sagor) is a consumable fish that is widely caught by fishermen and the community. Kedukang fishing is carried out every day in the Percut River, resulting in a decline in its population. This study aims to analyze the population by looking at density, sex ratio, growth pattern, gonad maturity level, gonad maturity index and fecundity of kedukang fish and analyze the relationship between physical-chemical factors of waters with population density of Kedukang fish. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method at 3 observation stations with 2 repetitions. Fish samples were taken using a net fishing gear installed at low tide and lifted at high tide. The results showed that the population density of kedukang fish in Percut River was low ranging from 0.048-0.123 ind/m2. The sex ratio kedukang fish at each observation station has an average of 1:0.5. The growth pattern of fish is allometric negative. The frequency distribution of fish length ranged from 21.5-47.9 cm. The greatest number of fish caught had a length range of 30.3-34.7 cm as many as 9 fish. The level of gonad maturity kedukang fish is dominated by TKG V. The average gonad maturity index of female kedukang fish is highest at the TPI location which is 20.729% and the highest fecundity at station II which is 4622.6. The relationship between the density of the kedukang fish population is very strong and positively correlated with DO, light intensity and nitrate. The population density of kedukang fish was strongly and negatively correlated with pH and phosphate.

Abstract

Learning media are all forms of tools or materials used in the learning process to help students understand and master the subject matter. This media can be in the form of physical objects, technology, or a combination of both designed to communicate information more effectively and facilitate understanding and retention of learning concepts. The learning and teaching process that uses web-based learning media for distance education is required to be independent and responsible for the learning process because one can learn anywhere, at any time. The important thing is that the tools are available. This research uses a systematic literature review method using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA). The research aims to explain web-based learning media for distance education. The research results show that through web-based learning media, students can search for and retrieve information or learning materials based on the syllabus or criteria set by the teacher or education manager. Students will have a wealth of information because they can access information from anywhere related to their learning material, through web-based learning media used for distance education can be increased by using learning materials that are well-designed professionally and pay attention to and use the characteristics of characteristics of multimedia.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the friction force box teaching aid on students' science process skills. The research subjects were class X students of MA Miftahul Ulum Bettet Pamekasan. This type of research is experimental research with the one group pretest-posttest design method. Increasing students' science skills (KPS) can be analyzed using the normal gain test, which is equal to 0.55 in the moderate category. This shows that the friction force box teaching aid can improve students' KPS. In addition, an analysis of student responses was carried out in using the friction style box teaching aid which showed that the teaching aid was very suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Latent Gaussian Model in the forecasting process. This research focuses on developing a forecasting model using the Multivariate Latent Gaussian Model (LGM) approach with shared components. which offers a more accurate representation without the assumption of stationarity and cointegration as it accommodates random components in the model. The forecasting results for the five KPPs are considered to have a very good level of accuracy with MAPE values < 10%. This shows that LGM can achieve reliable forecasting when applied to the real life problems. This condition supports forecasting and can be an effective and targeted benchmark. The Latent Gaussian Model using the Bayesian Approach in parameter estimation can be utilized in forecasting Personal Income Tax Article 25/29. This is supported by the highly accurate MAPE value of 0.01%. The implementation of the developed model is not limited to forecasting Personal Income Tax Article 25/29. but can also be used in various other fields. With its hierarchical structure. the Bayesian approach proves to be an effective method for addressing complex modeling challenges.

Abstract

The problem that is the focus of the research is the use of distance learning technology at universities in the Riau Islands Province using the Technology Acceptance Model approach. This research aims to analyze user perceptions on ease of use, usability, usage behavior, and use of distance learning technology. This research aims to determine user perceptions of distance learning technology in universities in the Riau Islands Province. Apart from that, this research also aims to evaluate the influence of the ease of use perspective, usability perspective, and usage behavior on the use of distance learning technology. The research results show that research respondents, who are academics and staff at universities in the Riau Islands Province, have a high perception of distance learning technology. From the test results, it was found that there was no significant influence between the ease of se perspective and the usability perspective on the use of distance learning technology. However, usage behavior has a significant influence on the use of distance learning technology. Apart from that, these three variables together have an influence of 69.70% on the use of distance learning technology.
