Abstract

The research aims to determine the distribution and concentration levels of CO and NO2 gases based on Sentinel-5P Satellite Image processing and UHI levels based on Landsat 8 Image processing during the implementation of Covid-19 Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Pekanbaru City. Data processing begins by extracting CO and NO2 gas data as well as Landsat 8 imagery via cloud computing on Google Earth Engine (GEE). The PSBB policy in Pekanbaru City came into effect in 2020. The PSBB policy will limit community activities, which will affect the concentration of CO and NO2 gases as well as UHI. The research results show that before the 2019 Covid-19 PSBB the respective concentrations of CO and NO2 gases were (CO: 4.16 x 10-3 mol/m2 – 4.70 x 10-3 mol/m2) and (NO2: 4, 16 x 10-5 mol/m2 – 5.68 x 10-5 mol/m2) with a UHI temperature of 34.23 0C. Then, when the PSBB was implemented in 2020, there was a decrease in the concentration of CO and NO2 gases to (CO: 2.87 x 10-3 mol/m2 – 3.20 x 10-3 mol/m2) and (NO2: 2.98 x 10-5 mol/m2 – 5.28 x 10-5 mol/m2) with the UHI temperature decreasing to 30.24 0C. However, CO and NO2 gas concentrations increased again after PSBB in 2021 to (CO: 2.90 x 10-3 mol/m2 – 3.31 x 10-3 mol/m2) and (NO2: 2.87 x 10-5 mol/m2 – 5.76 x 10-5 mol/m2) which was followed by an increase in the UHI temperature to 32.62 0C. Therefore, it is known that the concentration of CO and NO2 gases will affect UHI. If the concentration of CO and NO2 gas increases, the UHI temperature will also increase.

Abstract

This research aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the influence of gadget use and teacher creativity through motivation on learning outcomes in class VI students at SD Negeri 10 Bebesen. In this research, the author used secondary data and primary data. Secondary data was obtained from the Central Aceh District Education Office, while primary data was obtained from questionnaires for students at SD Negeri 10 Bebesen. The analysis model used is path analysis with a t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test. Based on partial test results (t-test) it shows that the use of gadgets has a positive and significant effect through motivation on the learning outcomes of Class VI students at SD Negeri 10 Bebesen, this is proven by the calculated t value (1.95) which is greater than the t table (1.67) with a value significance (0.01) is smaller than the significance limit (0.05). Teacher Creativity has a positive and significant effect through Motivation on Class VI Student Learning Outcomes at SD Negeri 10 Bebesen, this is proven by the calculated t value (1.82) which is greater than the t table (1.67) with a significance value (0.01) which is smaller than the significance limit (0.05).

Abstract

The automotive industry is witnessing a paradigm shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions. This project aims to contribute to this transition by converting a conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) car into an electric vehicle (EV) using a 5 kW Brushless DC (BLDC) electric motor. The conversion involves the removal of the traditional engine components and the integration of an electric propulsion system. The key components of the conversion include the BLDC motor, motor controller, battery pack, and associated power electronics. The BLDC motor is chosen for its efficiency, reliability, and compact design, making it suitable for retrofitting into existing vehicles. The motor controller manages the power supplied to the BLDC motor, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The project explores the challenges and solutions encountered during the conversion process, including adapting the vehicle's chassis to accommodate the new components, integrating a charging system, and addressing safety considerations. Additionally, efforts are made to optimize the overall weight distribution and maintain the vehicle's original handling characteristics. Performance testing is conducted to evaluate the acceleration, top speed, and overall efficiency of the converted electric vehicle. The results are compared with the original performance specifications of the conventional car to assess the success of the conversion. This project not only showcases the technical feasibility of converting conventional cars to electric vehicles but also highlights the environmental benefits associated with reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The findings contribute valuable insights to the growing field of electric vehicle conversions and promote sustainable transportation solutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand physics subjects which are considered difficult, including the difficulties experienced namely visualizing subject matter which requires learning models and media as support to improve student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at MA Muallimin UNIVA Medan, by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by Solar System Scope media on Kepler law material integrated with the Koran which is used in the learning process to improve student learning outcomes. The research method used is experimentation which is a type of quantitative research in class X MIA 1 as an experimental class with a Probe Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a written test (essay) with 10 questions. It is known that the pretest and posttest data are normally distributed with a significance value of Experimental Pretest (0.078), Experimental Posttest (0.130), Control Pretest (0.200), Control Posttest (0.052) and are declared homogeneous with a significance value of Based on Mean (0.245) where the test value normality and homogeneity exceed (>) the real level used in the measurement, namely α = 0.05 or 5%. With the help of SPSS it is known that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class (83.07) are higher than those in the control class (79.90) so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted and the average of the experimental class is stated to be better than the average of the control class. As for the effectiveness of the experimental class with the PBL (Problem Based learning) model, it was 76.6% and the control class with the Direct Instruction learning model was 54.4%, where the experimental class was declared effective and the control class was declared less effective.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students and their environment so that changes in behaviour for the better occur. This research aims to develop and evaluate a scientific attitude profile evaluation tool that uses the Accumulation, Demonstration, Exercise, Reflection, and Create (ADERiC) Learning Model based on Self-Efficacy. Through a Research and Development (R&D) approach using a 4D model, this research designed and tested this evaluation tool in the context of physics learning. The research results show that the application of the ADERiC model evaluation tool significantly increases students' involvement in the learning process, as well as strengthening their ability to solve problems and develop a positive scientific attitude. Evaluations carried out through the instruments developed indicate an increase in students' self-efficacy along with the use of innovative learning models. These results confirm that the integration of ADERiC in physics learning can facilitate deeper conceptual understanding as well as the practical application of physics, contributing to improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning in schools. This research succeeded in designing and validating an evaluation tool that is able to measure these aspects effectively.

Abstract

Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) often result from omissions or inadequate use of preventative measures, making them definitely or probably preventable. Discrepancies between clinical severity and patients' perceptions of ADRs' impact on their well-being highlight the need for targeted interventions. This study focused on the frequency, manifestations, and severity of ADRs from chemotherapeutic agents, utilizing a cross-sectional design with data from ADR reports spanning November 2021 to October 2023 at dr. Saiful Anwar General Hospital, Indonesia. A total of 177 ADRs were analyzed descriptively. Of these, 99 (55.93%) occurred in women, with the highest incidence in the 19–60-year age group (77.40%). The most common malignancies were Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (10.17%), Colorectal Malignancy, and Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (9.60% each). ADRs related to chemotherapy constituted 41.80%, involving drugs such as cisplatin, oxaliplatin, afatinib, imatinib, and Doxorubicin. The severity distribution was 70.37% mild, 27.16% moderate, and 2.47% severe. Monitoring and reporting these ADRs are crucial for patient safety and preventing recurrence.

Abstract

Life in the 21st century demands graduates who can think critically, innovate, collaborate, communicate, and face the changes that occur in the global world. The demands of 21st-century learning have implications for complex learning processes, requiring students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the effect of electronic worksheets (e-worksheets) assisted by bioinformatics integrated with the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills at SMA Muhammadiyah Palembang. The type of research that will be used is Research & Development research. This research is the final stage of the 4D development model. The population of this research was Muhammadiyah High Schools 1, 5, and 6 in the city of Palembang (accreditation A), and the research sample included XII students and biology teachers. Research data analysis used the SPPSS program to carry out the Kolmogorov-Smirnov, homogeneity, and Wilcoxon tests. The pretest and posttest scores were calculated using the N-Gain test. The research results showed that the overall analysis data increased students' critical thinking skills in experimental and control classes. The results of the normality test of pretest and posttest critical thinking data from the three schools showed that the data was normally distributed. Differences in data on students' critical thinking skills are also known from the sig value. 0.000 < α 0.05, which can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills are higher before and after being taught compared to classes with conventional learning.

Abstract

Project-based learning is a global trend, widely adopted across countries. Project-based learning has developed diversely by emphasizing interdisciplinary, cross-domain, and regional collaboration. To provide in-depth resources for researchers and educators on project-based learning in chemistry experiments, this study aims to make a bibliometric analysis on the topic of project-based learning globally using publication characteristics analysis. The database used in this study used Scopus and obtained 5900 articles from 2018-2023. Bibliometric analysis was analyzed using VOSviewer and Microsoft Excel. The results of the bibliometric analysis show that Boone, C.D. is the author with the highest number of citations on the research topic, Project-based learning in a chemistry experiment. The United States is the most productive country in researching this topic, with 1351 articles. The most influential journal with the highest number of articles is the Journal of Physics Conference Series, with 243 articles. The major contextualized learning literatures in this study tend to fall into broad groups such as Project-based Learning, Education, and STEM Education. These findings suggest the need for multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary studies on project-based learning research on chemistry learning and advocate for the inclusion of project-based learning research in education from a broader geographical context.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which workplace bullying is related to employees' performance perception at health centers and its impact on biological stress. The research was conducted on all employees at eight health centers in Regency X, randomly selected. Workplace bullying was measured using the Negative Acts Questionnaire Revised (NAQ-R), translated into Indonesian. Performance perception was measured using the Performance Perception Questionnaire. Biological stress was assessed through cortisol levels in saliva. Among the 240 participants, the majority (60%) rarely experienced workplace bullying, with an average score of 41.00 (SD=6.532). Most participants (67.1%) had a high perception of performance, with an average score of 67.12 (SD=9.747). Pearson's test results showed a value of 0.038 with a coefficient of -0.207, indicating a significant correlation between workplace bullying and performance perception. The findings also indicate that biological stress levels, measured through cortisol, correlate with lower performance perceptions. Workplace bullying contributes 4.285% to performance perception. This study provides preliminary evidence that workplace bullying can affect employee performance through biological stress mechanisms, highlighting the importance of interventions to reduce workplace bullying to improve employee well-being and performance

Abstract

Complementary feeding (MP-ASI) is crucial for meeting the nutritional needs of infants aged 7-12 months, influencing their appetite and growth. Objective: This study evaluates the effects of MP-ASI on the appetite and growth of infants aged 7-12 months in 2024. A pre-post test design with 194 respondents assessed the impact of different types of MP-ASI on appetite and growth. All respondents received the same type of MP-ASI. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with SPSS. There was no statistically significant relationship between the type of MP-ASI given and weight gain. However, varieties such as spinach and eggs, and chayote and eggs, showed higher compliance with recommended nutritional standards (KPSP), indicating that MP-ASI type significantly influences adherence to these standards. Diverse MP-ASI positively affects the appetite and growth of infants aged 7-12 months. The study underscores the importance of MP-ASI variety and quality in child nutrition programs. Increasing parental education on the importance of MP-ASI variety is recommended to support optimal developmental potential in children.
