Abstract

Malnutrition in toddlers can result in growth disturbances, development, and low-quality human resources. Indonesia ranks fifth in the prevalence of stunting in the world. SSGI data for 2021 the prevalence of stunting in the city of Pekanbaru is 11.4%. The highest prevalence of stunting under five cases was found in the Lima Puluh District at 7.29%. The Supplemental Feeding Program (PMT) is one of the efforts to overcome and prevent stunting, the type of food ingredients used as PMT can be local food ingredients, namely catfish, in Riau the commodity of catfish is higher than other fish. Indonesia is the largest soybean market in Asia with the largest tempe production in the world. The study aimed to determine the nutritional and sensory content of catfish meat nuggets added with tempeh, which can be used as a solution for providing additional food for toddlers to prevent stunting. the research used in this study was experimental with a completely randomized design (CRD). The stages of this research consisted of, 2 namely the preliminary research stage to analyze the addition of the amount of tempeh in each treatment and further research namely the implementation of sensory tests and proximate analysis. The results of the study found that the most preferred treatment was the addition of 70% tempeh both from the attributes of color, aroma, taste, and texture. The ingredients contained in the nuggets are carbohydrates at 22.2%, protein at 4.9%, fat at 10.7%, fiber at 5.5%, ash content 0.1%, and water content 52.8%. Fish nuggets based on SNI contain 5.0% protein, 15.0% fat, 2.5% ash content, and 60% moisture content.

Abstract

Prevention and management of COVID-19 in the elderly in Indonesia are essential. This is strongly influenced by the knowledge, attitudes and behaviour of the elderly about COVID-19. The elderly are the population most at risk due to COVID-19 transmission. This population requires health education on the prevention and impact of COVID-19 transmission. One of the interventions that can be done is through tele -nursing. This study aimed to identify the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the elderly to prevent and manage COVID-19 after tele-nursing. This research uses quantitative descriptive on 101 elderly respondents in 26 sub-districts in West Java. The instrument consists of symptoms, knowledge, attitudes and behavior of COVID-19 in respondents who were measured after tele-nursing intervention in the elderly. The analysis uses percentage and frequency distribution. The results of the representative knowledge of respondents are good; only 31.7% of respondents do not know about the 2019 COVID-19 transmission through wild animals and 24.8% when there is no fever. The representation of the respondent's behavior after tele-nursing was nine respondents did not use masks, and 33 still went to crowded places, 33 did not wash their hands after handling objects, and 34 did not avoid touching the face area. The knowledge, attitudes and behavior of respondents illustrate the government's stay-at-home campaign and tele-nursing related to the prevention of COVID 19 in the elderly. Some respondents still have not carried out maximum prevention due to situations and conditions such as the economy, signals, ownership of smartphones. Tele-nursing is one way to improve COVID-19 prevention behavior in the elderly. Further research can be carried out on the elderly by using Randomized Control Trial and qualitative studies to explore factors that influence the involvement of the elderly in the program.

Abstract

Improving the safety of vulnerable patient groups in health care is a priority. Patients with disabilities are among the most vulnerable groups. Persons with disabilities have more complex and extensive healthcare needs than non-disabled patients. This literature review aims to identify the types of patient safety incidents that can be used in patients with disabilities. The keywords "patient safety" and "disability" were used to search the Pubmed and Google Scholar databases for articles. The final results revealed four articles that met the inclusion criteria. The findings revealed that patients with disabilities are still frequently subjected to patient safety incidents such as falls, medication errors, infections, burns, and fluid leaks beneath the skin. According to the findings of the analysis using the Donabedian framework, there are still many problems that occur in structural components and processes, which can have an impact on the results obtained. Because of their vulnerability and uniqueness, patients with disabilities are more vulnerable to patient safety incidents. Furthermore, the issue of disability and patient safety remains the primary concern, so studies on disability and patient safety are still limited.

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that can kill the sufferer silently (silent killer). The elderly most experience hypertension, as one of the effects of a decrease in the body's system so it requires non-pharmacological therapy to reduce polypharmacy in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of steeping Dayak onions on the function of controlling hypertension. The design of this study used a pre-experiment without a control group, namely one group pre-test-post-test design to determine whether there was an effect of giving Dayak onion steeping therapy in lowering blood pressure. Samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique totaling 38 respondents. The results of the data normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed, therefore the researcher used data analysis with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that the Z value was smaller than the Z table value, so the Dayak onion steeping therapy affected decreasing blood pressure. Based on these conditions, Dayak onion infusion can be used as an additional therapy in controlling hypertension in the elderly.

Abstract

Two hundred and twenty-two public health centers have organized Basic Occupational Health and Safety (BOHS) in Yogyakarta province in 2022. Based on previous research, most of the implementation of the BOHS of community health centers is not yet running and specific. One of the BOHS for tourism sector workers is the “Kasongan Sehat”, in the Kasongan Tourism Village. This qualitative research aims to analyze the implementation of the BOHS in the “Kasongan Sehat”. The research subjects were occupational health trainers at the Community Health Center level, cadres, pottery industry workers in Kasongan, and hamlets selected using purposive sampling. In-depth interview and observation data collection techniques. The analysis uses the content analysis method. Research findings; The basis for administering the BOHS is Bantul Regent's regulation number 42 of 2015. This post has implemented an integrated BOHS by Minister of Health Regulation number 100 of 2015, which can be seen from the combination of their activities and management. Activities have been running regularly; including measuring blood pressure, body weight, first aid, and providing referrals to community health centers. The Community Health Center has distributed facilities and infrastructure and held first aid training for treating wounds for cadres. In general, occupational health service activities by cadres at the “Kasongan Sehat” have not been implemented comprehensively, due to a lack of training on OHS and the BOHS has just been revitalized after being stagnant after the 2006 Yogya earthquake. Specific training and guidance on BOHS are needed for supervisors as well as cadres.

Abstract

One of the elements that contribute to patient safety issues is poor leadership. Leadership is an essential component of changing the culture of patient safety. This literature review aims to examine the role of leadership in enhancing hospital patient safety culture. The method employed is a review of the literature using articles published between 2017 and 2022. The literature was gathered using the terms "leadership," "patient safety culture," and "hospital" from two database sources: Garuda Portal and Google Scholar. According to the keywords, the search yielded 77 articles. Five articles were evaluated after being screened using inclusion criteria. According to the five articles obtained, there are five leadership roles in improving patient safety culture: encouraging and ensuring the implementation of the Seven Steps Toward Hospital Patient Safety, ensuring ongoing programs to identify patient safety risks and reduce incidents, encouraging and fostering communication and coordination between units and individuals, allocating adequate resources, and measuring and reviewing the effectiveness. It is expected that hospital leaders can show commitment to making the hospital institution safe by implementing five leadership roles and involving staff in the commitment.

Abstract

The development of adolescence is very important throughout the life cycle. At this time, there is a change in adolescents' experience of fundamental physical and psychological. They also do not yet have effective coping experiences, causing difficulties in managing their emotions and behavior. The low self-esteem in adolescents causes them to be unable to maximize their potential. This study aimed to see an increase in self-esteem in at-risk adolescents by applying psychoeducation through music at SMPN 39 Padang. This quantitative study was designed in a "Quasi-experimental pre-posttest control group" by applying psychoeducational therapy through music using social media. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of psychoeducation through music on changes in the self-esteem of at-risk adolescents before and after the intervention in the treated group. The results of the statistical test can be concluded that there was a significant increase in self-esteem before and after giving psychoeducational therapy through music (Pvalue <0.05). The average self-esteem of at-risk adolescents in the group that received psychoeducation through music was 1.85 lower than the group that did not receive psychoeducation through music. Self-esteem in adolescents at risk differed significantly between the group that received psychoeducation through music and the group that did not receive psychoeducation through music.

Abstract

Public health status in Indonesia can be influenced by the implementation of healthy behavior in the community. There are differences in behavior between people in rural and urban areas and factors that can cause vaccine delays that have the potential to affect COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the behavior of COVID-19 vaccination in rural and urban communities in Serang Regency. This study used a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach which was conducted in October−November 2021 with a sample of 334 people aged 18−59 years. The results showed that the vaccination status of the respondents was complete dose (rural 65.3% and urban 70.3%), waiting for dose 2 (rural 22.4% and urban 18.6%), and dose 1 had been received but the dosing schedule 2 had passed (rural 12.3% and urban 11.1%). Three perceptions that are still low in percentage are perceptions of vulnerability, perceptions of obstacles, and cues to act. Some of the reasons for stopping the termination of COVID-19 in the community are not yet feeling that they will have severe symptoms if exposed to COVID-19, feeling confused about information related to COVID-19, not being able to carry out COVID-19 vaccinations because the schedule for COVID-19 vaccination program coincides with other activities, did not receive an invitation from the local government to vaccinate against COVID-19, vaccinate because people in their environment had vaccinated against COVID-19, did not receive support from cadres or religious leaders for the COVID-19 vaccination. Improved policy behavior can be improved by changing perceptions of vulnerability to COVID-19, reducing barriers, and also providing cues according to education through social media with the key message of spending the full dose of vaccine.
