Abstract

Manipulative skills are modified to create movement skills for students with special needs who are mentally disabled in SLB Huntap Palu. The aim of the research was to determine the manipulative movement skills of students with special needs who are mentally retarded at SLB Huntap Palu. The research methodology is a quantitative methodology with a descriptive analysis approach. Purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 12 students in the study, all of whom experienced mental disorders. This research testing includes a ball throwing test. Data analysis shows that: manipulative movement skills and ball throwing skills in mentally retarded children total 10, when included in the formula the result is 60%; Based on the score category guidelines, the ball throwing game for mentally retarded children is included in the high category. According to the standard score category, the ability to catch the ball in mentally retarded children is included in the high group. Deaf children have a ball catching ability level of 15, which if entered into the algorithm will give a result of 75%. The conclusion of the research is that the manipulative movement skills of children with special needs at SLB Huntap Palu are in the good category.

Abstract

Teachers are required to be able to apply digital tools and media to every aspect of their professional duties. Teachers’ digital competence become important for teachers to acquire. This research purpose is to mapping the use of digital technologies in teachers’ practice. Data was obtained through a survey and analized with descriptive statistics analysis from 93 samples of elementary, middle school, high school, and vocational school teachers. The results show 56.99% teachers use smartphones for learning tools while other 43.01% use PC/laptop device. As many as 48.39% teachers conduct digital learning through message app, 19.35% through LMS, and the rest through online meeting, social media, or all of the type simultaneously. The type of the content dominated by video and image, obtained through web content providers that are searched through search engine. Teachers also use text to give guidance for students, and quiz for formative and summative assessment. A total of 22 teachers carried out asynchronous learning, 35 synchronous learning, and 33 hybrid learning. In conclusion, teachers more often use smartphones, messaging app, and learning media that contain text, with additional video or image content for the learning process, guidance, and quizzes in assessments provided through synchronous and hybrid learning

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the ability of the basic technique of passing down in volleyball games through the pair method in Class X TKJ SMKN 5 Bone. This is due to students learning outcomes on the material passing under volleyball is still low while down passing is a technique the most basic and also the easiest for students to do. So that researchers want that in the implementation of learning there is an intensity of activity because students are able to practice these skills through learning activities with the pair method. The research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class X TKJ 1, totaling 36 students. There are 24 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques are by tests, observations, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that through the pair method can improve the ability of the basic technique of passing down in volleyball games in class X TKJ 1 SMKN 5 Bone. The results of the data obtained from the results of the first cycle of students who completed 41.67% with a frequency of 15 students, then increased in cycle II and students who completed 94.44% with a frequency of 34 students. The conclusion of this study is that through the pair method in learning passing down in volleyball games can improve student learning outcomes in class X TKJ SMKN 5 Bone.

Abstract

A communication pattern is a form or design of a relationship between two or more people sending and receiving messages related to the two components. Communication strategies are carried out by making the right design to change people's behavior. This study aimed to determine the communication pattern of BK teachers with students who were victims of Bullying at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. The method used in the study is the qualitative research method. The data analysis methodology uses Miles and Huberman's data analysis methodology, which consists of the data collection stage, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/evaluation drawing stage. As a result, it was found that the communication pattern between BK teachers and students who were victims of Bullying was a one-way communication pattern where only BK teachers and BK teachers spoke. Students actively communicate their messages. A two-way communication pattern that involves the BK teacher as a listener, notes, and responses from students and many stakeholders: BK teachers, class teachers, parents, and student friends Involves multi-way communication patterns and interactions in the communication process.

Abstract

Assessing academic writing performance is a critical aspect of educational practices. The thesis is derived from writing is an essential skill that students need to develop to succeed academically and professionally. To fulfill this, the Rasch model offers important test statistics that play a crucial role in constructing tests related to evaluation and item selection problems, as well as in decision-making regarding the generated test scores. Building upon this narrative, this research is conducted with the aim of identifying person fit in assessing academic writing performance using the Rasch model. The sample in the form of essays was obtained from a group of 40 students who had previously undergone a six-month academic writing program. The data was then analyzed using Ministep 4.8.2.0 built for Rasch Model analysis. The analysis results indicated that there were 31 students in the person misfit category, suggesting a need to reconsider the appropriateness of the conducted treatment and whether there were other factors contributing to it. Additionally, a discrepancy was found in 5 students with persons misfit or overfit, and their better performance was observed on more difficult items, contrary to the Rasch model's profile

Abstract

Implementing face-to-face learning after online and face-to-face learning is limited to causing obstacles when learning sociology. This study aims to describe the implementation of face-to-face learning after online and face-to-face learning is limited to sociology learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura. The type of research used in research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study show that the implementation of face-to-face learning after online and face-to-face learning is limited to three stages. The three stages are the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The three stages are then analyzed using the perspective of Functional Structural theory with four prerequisites: Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency. Based on the theory analysis, each figure has its own role in learning sociology. Implementation of learning, face-to-face learning, and sociology learning.

Abstract

The study focused on investigating the teaching strategy used by an English teacher in teaching Elementary students through online learning. Teaching young learners needs creativity to keep the students active and enthusiastic about learning. Especially the condition required to conduct online learning. Teachers should keep the students motivated and understand the material easily. This study also elaborated on the challenges that the teacher faced during online learning. A qualitative method was used in this study. The data collection techniques are observation and interview. The data was gained from an elementary school in Surabaya. The observation was held in the first grade for twelve meetings. The result showed that the teacher used two learning models during online learning. It was synchronous and asynchronous learning. In synchronous learning, the teacher used Listen and Repeat, Listen and Do, Short Conversation, Question and Answer, Quiz and Sing and Move. Meanwhile, in Asynchronous learning, the teacher used three strategies. They were Role play, Daily Tests, and Video Blogs (Vlogs). Moreover, the teacher also admitted that she faced challenges during teaching through online learning. The challenges came from the teacher herself, the students, and the parents.

Abstract

English language instruction in Indonesia has been impacted by the shift to online learning. One of the popular online learning platforms in the country is Ruangguru. Students can access its English learning resources anytime and anyplace. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Indonesian high school students view Ruangguru as an online resource for studying English. Data from the students who utilize Ruangguru was gathered via a questionnaire and facilitatied interviews. A mixed-methods approach was used to analyze the data, combining qualitative analysis with descriptive statistics. The findings show that Ruangguru is well-liked by online English learners, particularly because its videos provide straightforward instructions that can inspire the students to become independent learners. However, some students continue to have issues with the limitations imposed by online learning and digital gap. Regardless, the majority of students consider Ruangguru to be a valuable English learning source in the age of online education

Abstract

YouTube can be a preferable media for effective and engaging English learning. This survey research was conducted to investigate the students’ perceptions on the use of YouTube to learn English post-pandemic. The participants were 88 second-grade students in one of the public junior high schools in Batu. The data were taken by administering the questionnaire directly to the students. The findings revealed that YouTube was effective, attractive, and motivating to help the students learn English post-pandemic in the classroom. Thus, it is recommended that English teachers teach English by means of YouTube in their class. Moreover, it is also suggested that future researchers investigate whether the students’ perceptions on the use of YouTube will differ across their learning styles

Abstract

For adults, the problem in reading the Qur'an is based on how to read the Qur'an and the appropriate method. This research focuses on learning to read the Qur'an for adults with the implementation of the Griya Al-Qur'an method in the taklim assembly. This research uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. This research was conducted at Taklim Council Masjid Umar bin Abdul Aziz Tembung. Through this research, it was found that the implementation of the Griya Al-Qur'an method in learning the Qur'an includes planning, implementing learning abbreviated as SUBUH (Salam, Repeat, Give, Test and Hamdalah), and evaluation in the form of oral and written tests. The obstacles to the implementation of the Griya Al-Qur'an method are internal obstacles that differ in ability and age factors. External barriers are related to activities, time and learning motivation. The solution to these obstacles is to straighten out sincere intentions, pray and make efforts before and after learning. The achievement of the Griya Al-Qur'an method based on the material is conditional, the number of participants who succeed in reading the Qur'an according to the rules and there is no punishment in learning.
