Abstract

Abstract: The implementation of AI in educational governance faces a significant gap between policy and practice, particularly at the school management level, which has been largely overlooked. This study was a mixed-methods, sequential, explanatory study that analyzed school management's digital readiness, identified inhibiting and enabling factors, and formulated an adaptive governance transformation model in Merangin Regency. Quantitative data were collected from 210 respondents (principals, vice principals, and administrative heads) through surveys, followed by in-depth interviews and FGDs. Results indicate that school management's digital readiness is very low (mean 2.32/5), with managerial digital competence deficit as the most critical dimension (mean 1.92). Border schools and B/C-accredited schools fall into Quadrant III (Foundation Stage), while schools with internal champions reach Quadrant I (Integration Ready). The Staged Transformation Model (3T Model) was formulated as an adaptive solution. This study concludes that the root cause of AI implementation gaps is not technical but managerial and systemic; thus, interventions must focus on strengthening digital leadership capacity, internal policies, and champion development. Policy implications include the need for a national AI adoption roadmap that considers regional disparities in readiness. Keywords: artificial intelligence; educational governance; school management digital readiness; management transformation; Society 5.0 Abstrak: Implementasi AI dalam tata kelola pendidikan menghadapi kesenjangan signifikan antara kebijakan dan praktik lapangan, khususnya pada level manajemen sekolah yang selama ini terabaikan. Penelitian mixed methods sequential explanatory ini bertujuan menganalisis kesiapan digital manajemen sekolah, mengidentifikasi faktor penghambat dan pendorong, serta merumuskan model transformasi tata kelola adaptif di Kabupaten Merangin. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan dari 210 responden (kepala sekolah, wakil, kepala TU) melalui survei, dilanjutkan wawancara mendalam dan FGD. Hasil menunjukkan tingkat kesiapan digital manajemen sekolah sangat rendah (mean 2,32/5), dengan defisit kompetensi digital manajerial sebagai dimensi paling kritis (mean 1,92). Sekolah perbatasan dan akreditasi B/C berada pada Kuadran III (Tahap Fondasi), sementara sekolah dengan champion internal mencapai Kuadran I (Siap Terintegrasi). Model Transformasi Bertahap (3T Model) dirumuskan sebagai alternatif solusi adaptif. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa akar masalah implementasi AI bukan pada faktor teknis melainkan manajerial-sistemik, sehingga intervensi harus diarahkan pada penguatan kapasitas kepemimpinan digital, kebijakan internal, dan pengembangan champion. Implikasi kebijakan mencakup perlunya peta jalan nasional adopsi AI yang mempertimbangkan disparitas kesiapan antar wilayah. Abstract

Abstract: This research documents a best practice of technology-based instructional leadership implemented at SMP Indocement Tarjun to improve the quality of learning in the digital era. The study was motivated by the initial conditions of the school, where teaching practices were still dominated by conventional lecture methods, teachers and students had relatively low digital competencies, and the available Information and Communication Technology (ICT) facilities had not been utilized optimally in the learning process. These conditions highlighted the need for an effective leadership strategy capable of encouraging systematic and sustainable technology-based learning transformation within the school environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the model of transformational instructional leadership implemented in the school and to examine its impact on improving the quality of learning and overall school performance. This study employed a qualitative case study approach to explore deeply the implementation of instructional leadership practices within the school context. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, direct observations of classroom learning activities, and documentation analysis related to digital learning practices and school achievements. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that collaborative and transformational instructional leadership serves as the main driving force in the implementation of technology-based learning transformation. This leadership approach successfully fostered three major components: (1) technology integration in learning through the use of interactive media, educational videos, and optimization of computer laboratories; (2) the development of teachers’ digital competencies through training programs in digital media production, coding, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI); and (3) the strengthening of a collaborative school culture that encourages innovation and the sharing of best practices among teachers. The synergy among these components contributes to increased student engagement in learning and significant improvements in students’ academic and non-academic achievements at district and provincial levels Keywords: Digitalization; Educational Technology; Instructional Leadership; Transformational Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendokumentasikan praktik baik (best practice) kepemimpinan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di SMP Indocement Tarjun dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di era digital. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi awal sekolah yang masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional berbasis ceramah, rendahnya kompetensi digital guru dan siswa, serta pemanfaatan fasilitas Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) yang belum optimal dalam proses pembelajaran. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan perlunya strategi kepemimpinan yang mampu mendorong transformasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi secara sistematis dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model kepemimpinan transformasional yang diterapkan di sekolah serta mengkaji dampaknya terhadap peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dan kinerja sekolah secara keseluruhan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kajian kasus kualitatif (qualitative case study) untuk menggali secara mendalam praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran yang berlangsung di lingkungan sekolah. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa, observasi langsung terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta analisis dokumentasi terkait kegiatan pembelajaran, media digital, dan prestasi sekolah. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan pembelajaran yang kolaboratif dan transformasional menjadi pendorong utama dalam proses transformasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di sekolah. Kepemimpinan tersebut mendorong terbentuknya tiga komponen utama, yaitu: (1) integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran melalui penggunaan media interaktif, video pembelajaran, dan optimalisasi laboratorium komputer; (2) pengembangan kompetensi digital guru melalui pelatihan pembuatan media digital, coding, dan pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI); serta (3) penguatan budaya sekolah kolaboratif yang mendorong inovasi dan berbagi praktik baik antar guru. Sinergi antara ketiga komponen tersebut terbukti berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran serta peningkatan prestasi akademik dan nonakademik siswa di tingkat kabupaten dan provinsi. Abstract

Abstract: State Islamic Religious Colleges (PTKIN) face major challenges in improving the quality of education amidst the dynamics of regulations, technological developments, and the demands of globalization. This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality management at PTKIN, identify the challenges faced, and formulate relevant and applicable policy solutions. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) by examining selected scientific articles and documents for the 2020– 2025 period that discuss quality management, challenges, and policies at PTKIN. The results of the study show that the implementation of quality management at PTKIN is influenced by internal factors such as limited human resources, infrastructure, and quality culture, as well as external factors in the form of policy changes and global competition. The discussion found that effective solutions that can be adopted include strengthening human resource training, optimizing the use of information technology, internalizing a quality culture, and strategic collaboration with various parties to support the sustainability of education quality. In conclusion, the success of the implementation of quality management at PTKIN is highly dependent on the synergy between strengthening internal policies, developing human resources, and adapting to external changes in order to improve the competitiveness and quality of graduates. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi manajemen mutu di PTKIN, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi, serta merumuskan solusi kebijakan yang relevan dan aplikatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review (SLR) dengan menelaah artikel dan dokumen ilmiah terpilih periode 2020–2025 yang membahas manajemen mutu, tantangan, dan kebijakan di PTKIN. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen mutu di PTKIN dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti keterbatasan SDM, infrastruktur, dan budaya mutu, serta faktor eksternal berupa perubahan kebijakan dan persaingan global. Pembahasan menemukan bahwa solusi efektif yang dapat diadopsi meliputi penguatan pelatihan SDM, optimalisasi pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, internalisasi budaya mutu, serta kolaborasi strategis dengan berbagai pihak untuk mendukung keberlanjutan mutu pendidikan. Kesimpulannya, keberhasilan implementasi manajemen mutu di PTKIN sangat bergantung pada sinergi antara penguatan kebijakan internal, pengembangan SDM, dan adaptasi terhadap perubahan eksternal guna meningkatkan daya saing dan kualitas lulusan. Abstract

Abstract: Teachers' social competence plays an important role in creating harmonious relationships among school members and supporting the success of the educational process within the madrasah environment. This study aims to analyzing the strategy of the madrasah principalin improving teachers' social competence at MTsN 3 Aceh Barat. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects including the head of the madrasah, deputy principal of madrasahand teachers of MTsN 3 Aceh Barat. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation study by reviewing relevant journals and scientific sources. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that teachers' social competence at MTsN 3 Aceh Barat is in the good category. The principal's strategies in improving teachers' social competence were carried out through three main approaches, namely strengthening social activities within the madrasah environment, the principal's direct involvement as a role model, and continuous guidance through personal communication and routine evaluation via madrasah meetings. The exemplary behavior of the madrasah principal in various social activities has proven to be the most effective strategy in forming a culture of togetherness, solidarity, and cooperation among teachers. The conclusion of this study indicates that participative and role model-oriented leadership by the principal is capable of improving teachers' social competence in a sustainable manner within the madrasah environment. Keywords: madrasa head; teachers’ social competence; educational leadership; madrasah Abstrak: Kompetensi sosial guru memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis antar warga sekolah serta mendukung keberhasilan proses pendidikan di lingkungan madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru di MTsN 3 Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah, dan guru MTsN 3 Aceh Barat. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi dengan menelaah jurnal serta sumber ilmiah yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi sosial guru di MTsN 3 Aceh Barat berada pada kategori baik. Strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru dilakukan melalui tiga pendekatan utama, yaitu penguatan kegiatan sosial di lingkungan madrasah, keterlibatan langsung kepala madrasah sebagai teladan, serta pembinaan berkelanjutan melalui komunikasi personal dan evaluasi rutin melalui rapat madrasah. Keteladanan kepala madrasah dalam berbagai aktivitas sosial terbukti menjadi strategi yang paling efektif dalam membentuk budaya kebersamaan, solidaritas, dan kerja sama antar guru. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah yang partisipatif dan berorientasi pada keteladanan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi sosial guru secara berkelanjutan di lingkungan madrasah. Abstract

Abstract: Teachers' professional competence is a key factor in realizing adaptive and innovative learning. However, the 2025 Education Report data indicates that the quality of learning in Blora Regency's junior high schools is at a moderate level and tends to decline, partly due to suboptimal learning community activities. This study aims to analyze the influence of learning community activities on the professional competence of junior high school teachers in Ngawen District, Blora Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design and a correlational research model. The population consisted of 162 teachers, with a sample of 118 teachers selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–4) that had been tested for validity and reliability, with Cronbach's Alpha coefficients of 0.91 for the learning community activities variable and 0.93 for teacher professional competence. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including simple linear regression with SPSS. The results revealed that learning community activities have a positive and significant effect on teacher professional competence, as indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.643 and a significance value of 0.000 (

Abstract

Abstract: Guidance and counseling services in schools have a strategic role in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes flexible, student-centered learning, and focuses on character development and mental health of students. However, in practice, the implementation of these services still faces various challenges that hinder the optimization of the role of guidance and counseling teachers in educational units. This study aims to explore the role of guidance and counseling in fostering students’ character, mental well-being, and potential within the framework of the Independent Curriculum. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and literature review method, the study draws on secondary sources such as policy documents, academic journals, and reports from professional organizations. The findings show that implementation remains constrained by issues including an imbalanced counselor-to-student ratio, stigma against counseling, inadequate training, limited facilities, and low technological integration. Furthermore, the role of guidance counselors is not yet fully embedded in project-based learning and the development of the Pancasila Student Profile. The study concludes that adopting an open systems approach in school management, advancing supportive policy reforms, and improving counselor professionalism are essential steps. These efforts will enable guidance and counseling services to become a foundational element in delivering holistic, empowering, and student-centered education. Keywords: Guidance and Counseling; Independent Curriculum; Student Mental Health; Educational Management Abstrak: Layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran yang fleksibel, berpusat pada siswa, dan berorientasi pada pengembangan karakter serta kesehatan mental peserta didik. Namun, dalam praktiknya, implementasi layanan tersebut masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang menghambat optimalisasi peran guru bimbingan dan konseling di satuan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi peran layanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam membina karakter, kesehatan mental, dan pengembangan potensi peserta didik di bawah kebijakan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi literatur yang memanfaatkan sumber-sumber sekunder seperti dokumen kebijakan, jurnal ilmiah, dan laporan organisasi profesi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi layanan bimbingan dan konseling masih menghadapi hambatan signifikan, antara lain rasio guru dan siswa yang tidak ideal, stigma terhadap konseling, minimnya pelatihan, keterbatasan fasilitas, serta rendahnya pemanfaatan teknologi. Peran guru bimbingan dan konseling juga belum terintegrasi secara menyeluruh dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum berbasis proyek dan penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan perlunya pendekatan sistem terbuka dalam organisasi sekolah, reformasi kebijakan yang mendukung, dan peningkatan profesionalisme guru bimbingan dan konseling agar layanan ini mampu menjadi pilar utama dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang memerdekakan dan menyejahterakan siswa secara menyeluruh. Abstract

Abstract: The phenomenon of students working while studying has become an undeniable reality in Indonesian higher education, including at UIN Walisongo Semarang. This situation is driven not only by economic necessity but also by more complex social dynamics. Working during one's studies is increasingly regarded as part of a process of personal maturation, the cultivation of independence, and preparation for the professional world. Yet behind these motivations, working students face a convergence of pressures: persistently high academic demands, time-consuming work schedules, and the need to maintain the quality of their personal lives. This raises the question of how students genuinely experience and manage all three dimensions simultaneously. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of part-time working students at UIN Walisongo Semarang as they navigate and make sense of Work-Life-Study Balance. The method employed is a qualitative approach with an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) design, which enables the researcher to delve deeply into the subjective experiences of participants. Ten active UIN Walisongo Semarang students who had been working part-time for a minimum of three months were purposively selected as participants. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews conducted in person from March to May 2026, and subsequently analyzed inductively following the standard IPA analytical procedure. The study identified six interrelated superordinate themes: (1) financial independence and the formation of maturity; (2) academics as the primary priority in decision-making; (3) adaptive strategies in Work-Life-Study Balance; (4) physical and emotional fatigue as a consequence of dual roles; (5) religiosity as a source of personal resilience; and (6) work as a space for learning and self-transformation. These findings indicate that Work-Life-Study Balance among part-time working students is not merely a matter of time management or technical role conflict. It is a far more complex psychological and social process, encompassing identity formation, the strengthening of resilience, and self-transformation within the context of real life. This study also broadens the understanding of the experiences of working students in an Islamic higher education environment and makes a significant contribution to the development of Work-Life-Study Balance scholarship. Keywords: Work-Life-Study Balance, working students, part-time workers, phenomenology, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) Abstrak: Fenomena mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil kuliah kini menjadi kenyataan yang tidak bisa diabaikan di perguruan tinggi Indonesia, termasuk di UIN Walisongo Semarang. Situasi ini tidak hanya disebabkan oleh kebutuhan ekonomi, tetapi juga oleh dinamika sosial yang lebih rumit. Bekerja selama studi dianggap sebagai bagian dari proses pematangan diri, pembentukan kemandirian, dan persiapan untuk dunia profesional. Namun, di balik motivasi ini, mahasiswa pekerja menghadapi berbagai tekanan: tuntutan akademik yang tetap tinggi, jam kerja yang menghabiskan waktu, dan kebutuhan untuk menjaga kualitas kehidupan pribadi. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan mengenai bagaimana mahasiswa benar-benar merasakan dan mengelola ketiga aspek tersebut sekaligus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami pengalaman hidup mahasiswa pekerja paruh waktu di UIN Walisongo Semarang dalam menjalani dan memahami Work-Life-Study Balance. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi interpretatif atau Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk menyelami pengalaman subjektif partisipan secara mendalam. Sepuluh mahasiswa aktif UIN Walisongo Semarang yang telah bekerja part-time minimal tiga bulan dipilih secara purposive sebagai partisipan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur yang dilakukan secara langsung dari Maret hingga Mei 2026. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara induktif mengikuti prosedur standar analisis IPA. Hasil penelitian menemukan enam tema utama yang saling terkait, yaitu: (1) kemandirian finansial dan pembentukan kedewasaan; (2) akademik sebagai prioritas utama dalam pengambilan keputusan; (3) strategi adaptif dalam Work-Life-Study Balance; (4) kelelahan fisik dan emosional sebagai akibat dari peran ganda; (5) religiusitas sebagai sumber ketahanan diri; (6) pekerjaan sebagai ruang belajar dan transformasi diri. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Work-Life-Study Balance di kalangan mahasiswa pekerja part-time bukan hanya masalah manajemen waktu atau konflik peran secara teknis. Ini merupakan proses psikologis dan sosial yang lebih kompleks, mencakup pembentukan identitas, penguatan ketahanan, serta transformasi diri dalam konteks kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini juga memperluas pemahaman tentang pengalaman mahasiswa pekerja di lingkungan perguruan tinggi Islam dan memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan kajian Work-Life-Study Balance. Abstract

Abstract: Leadership and resource management are two fundamental components that determine the effectiveness and sustainability of school performance, particularly in responding to the increasing complexity of educational quality demands in the modern era. The quality of school leadership and the ability to manage educational resources play a strategic role in fostering adaptive, innovative, and competitive educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the relationship between school leadership practices and educational resource management in improving institutional quality. This study employs a literature review approach by examining relevant national and international scholarly sources published between 2020 and 2025. The analysis process involves identifying, selecting, evaluating, and synthesizing previous research findings related to educational leadership and school resource management, including human, financial, and physical resources. The findings indicate that effective school leadership, particularly transformational and instructional leadership styles, plays a significant role in optimizing resource utilization, enhancing teacher motivation and performance, and creating a conducive and sustainable learning environment. In addition, the implementation of integrated resource management through strategic planning, systematic organization, and participatory decision-making contributes significantly to improving organizational efficiency and school innovation. This study highlights that the synergy between leadership competence and effective resource management is a key factor in strengthening school performance and improving educational outcomes. It also offers a conceptual contribution by reinforcing an integrative framework linking leadership and resource management within the context of school performance improvement. Therefore, it is recommended that policymakers and educational administrators develop capacity-building programs focusing on strengthening strategic leadership and sustainable resource management practices. Keywords: Educational Effectiveness; Resource Management; School Leadership; School Performance Abstrak: Kepemimpinan dan manajemen sumber daya merupakan dua komponen fundamental yang menentukan efektivitas dan keberlanjutan kinerja sekolah, terutama dalam menghadapi dinamika dan tuntutan peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang semakin kompleks di era modern. Kualitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kemampuan dalam mengelola sumber daya pendidikan menjadi faktor strategis dalam menciptakan institusi pendidikan yang adaptif, inovatif, dan berdaya saing. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara praktik kepemimpinan sekolah dan manajemen sumber daya pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan pustaka (literature review) dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang relevan dari tahun 2020–2025. Proses analisis dilakukan melalui identifikasi, seleksi, evaluasi, dan sintesis terhadap temuan-temuan penelitian sebelumnya yang berkaitan dengan kepemimpinan pendidikan dan pengelolaan sumber daya sekolah, mencakup sumber daya manusia, finansial, serta sarana dan prasarana. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan sekolah yang efektif, khususnya yang berorientasi pada gaya transformasional dan instruksional, memiliki peran signifikan dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sumber daya, meningkatkan motivasi dan kinerja guru, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, penerapan manajemen sumber daya yang terintegrasi melalui perencanaan strategis, pengorganisasian yang sistematis, serta pengambilan keputusan yang partisipatif terbukti berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan efisiensi organisasi dan inovasi sekolah. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa sinergi antara kompetensi kepemimpinan dan efektivitas pengelolaan sumber daya merupakan faktor kunci dalam memperkuat kinerja sekolah dan meningkatkan kualitas luaran pendidikan. Penelitian ini juga memberikan kontribusi konseptual berupa penguatan kerangka integratif antara kepemimpinan dan manajemen sumber daya dalam konteks pendidikan. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the influence of innovative work behavior, interpersonal communication, and organizational culture on the performance of public junior high school teachers. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. The population consisted of all teachers at the selected school, with a sample of 93 respondents determined using proportional sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that innovative work behavior was at a moderate level, while interpersonal communication, organizational culture, and teacher performance were in the good category. The regression analysis results show that innovative work behavior, interpersonal communication, and organizational culture each have a significant effect on teacher performance. Among these variables, organizational culture was found to have the most dominant influence, followed by innovative work behavior and interpersonal communication. Furthermore, the simultaneous test results reveal that the three independent variables jointly have a significant effect on teacher performance, explaining 68.6 percent of the variance. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening innovative behavior, effective interpersonal communication, and a supportive organizational culture in improving teacher performance. This study is expected to provide empirical evidence to support school management and policy-making efforts aimed at enhancing teacher performance in a sustainable manner. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku inovatif, komunikasi interpersonal, dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru pada sekolah yang diteliti, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 93 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik proportional sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berskala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, serta regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara deskriptif perilaku inovatif berada pada kategori cukup, sedangkan komunikasi interpersonal, budaya organisasi, dan kinerja guru berada pada kategori baik. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa perilaku inovatif, komunikasi interpersonal, dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru secara parsial. Budaya organisasi merupakan variabel yang memiliki pengaruh paling dominan terhadap kinerja guru, diikuti oleh perilaku inovatif dan komunikasi interpersonal. Selain itu, hasil uji simultan menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independen secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan kontribusi penjelasan sebesar 68,6 persen. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kinerja guru memerlukan penguatan terpadu pada aspek perilaku inovatif, kualitas komunikasi interpersonal, dan budaya organisasi sekolah yang kondusif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengambilan kebijakan dan pengelolaan sekolah dalam upaya peningkatan kinerja guru secara berkelanjutan. Abstract

Abstract: Education is a cornerstone for human resource development, and curriculum transformation is crucial to enhance learning quality. This study examines the role of school principals in implementing the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) at SD Islam Al Furqon Rembang. A qualitative case study design was used to explore the principals’ managerial functions, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Data were collected through structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Findings reveal that the principal plays a strategic role in designing implementation programs based on school needs, establishing curriculum teams, supervising academic activities, facilitating teacher collaboration, and monitoring learning outcomes. These managerial functions are executed systematically, collaboratively, and adaptively, ensuring alignment with the Independent Curriculum and 21st-century learning demands. The study highlights that successful curriculum implementation strongly depends on the principal’s capacity as an instructional leader and change agent. The findings offer practical implications for strengthening professional development of school leaders and teachers and optimizing student-centered, innovative, and contextualized learning, while fostering character development and essential competencies. Keywords: school principal, Independent Curriculum, school management, instructional leadership, primary education Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan fondasi pengembangan sumber daya manusia, dan transformasi kurikulum menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menganalisis peran kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SD Islam Al Furqon Rembang. Penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif untuk mengeksplorasi fungsi manajerial kepala sekolah, meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan, dan pengendalian. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur, observasi nonpartisipan, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berperan strategis dalam merancang program implementasi berdasarkan kebutuhan sekolah, membentuk tim kurikulum, melakukan supervisi akademik, memfasilitasi kolaborasi guru, dan memantau hasil pembelajaran. Fungsi manajerial tersebut dijalankan secara sistematis, kolaboratif, dan adaptif, sehingga selaras dengan Kurikulum Merdeka dan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menekankan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum sangat bergantung pada kapasitas kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin instruksional dan agen perubahan. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi praktis untuk penguatan pengembangan profesional kepala sekolah dan guru, serta optimalisasi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik, inovatif, kontekstual, sekaligus mendukung pengembangan karakter dan kompetensi esensial.
