Abstract

ABSTRACT The Ketahun Downstream watershed (DAS) is one of the watersheds in Lebong. The Air Ketahun Downstream River Basin flows from the upstream area located in the Lebong Regency. The purpose of this study was to obtain the planned peak discharge on Talang Bunut Village and its surroundings due to frequent flooding when the water discharge rises in the Air Ketahun Down Stream Basin in analyzing hydrology using HSS Gama 1. Rainfall is very influential on the amount of water flowing in a river. Hydrological analysis to obtain peak discharge in this way uses daily rainfall data for 10 years. The peak discharge obtained in the Air Ketahun Downstream watershed in Talang Bunut village, Uram Jaya sub-district, Lebong Regency for a 100-year return period using the HSS Gama I method, which is 3030.45 m3 / second with a peak time of 2. Keywords: Rainfall, Synthetic unit hydrograph, Peak discharge.

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus pandemic that hit Indonesia, especially Bali, had a huge impact on people's lives. This has an impact on several sectors, ranging from the health sector, the economy, education, tourism, including the development sector. The Corona outbreak has forced all countries to revise the development plans that have been proclaimed. Targets were realistically adjusted, assumptions were changed according to current circumstances, and short-term program priorities were shifted largely to address the Covid-19 pandemic. In the context of accelerating development to restore economic conditions, several small-scale construction service actors are still able to carry out development even though they have to experience several obstacles. During the implementation of development during a pandemic, of course, some costs undergo significant changes that can even cause cost overruns. The swelling of construction project costs is highly dependent on several factors, both internal and external factors of the project. Several factors were very influential in cost overruns during the implementation of projects carried out by small-scale construction service actors during the Covid-19 pandemic, including inaccurate cost estimates (9.33%), errors in choosing work methods (8.84%) ), low labor productivity (8.15%), dimensional error/measurement of work in progress (8.14%), frequent work delays (8.04%), schedule delays due to weather effects (8.00%), an increase in material prices (7.94%), high equipment prices/rents (7.67%), delays/lack of materials and materials (7.31%), material damage (6.81%), material specifications required unsuitable (6.52%), and untimely payment methods (6.26%).

Abstract

The Badeng River, which is located in Songgon District, Banyuwangi Regency, has a discharge that often overflows, causing damage to the retaining wall and erosion of the riverbank slopes of the Badeng Dam area. This is a problem for local residents because the use of water becomes less than optimal and can increase the risk of flooding in the downstream area of the river. To prevent landslides on the river bank, slope stability analysis is carried out using a gravity type retaining wall that can withstand overturning, shearing forces, and is safe against carrying capacity and pays attention to drawdown. The drawdown analysis was modeled for 20 hours at the initial condition of the river water level receding towards flooding and then returning to its original condition.. Modeling is done with Geoslope studio. The results of the gravity wall stability analysis against drawdown are declared safe. When the river water level is higher, the slope safety factor value will increase. Otherwise, when the river water level decreases, the slope safety factor value will decrease. This happens because it is influenced by the ups and downs of the value of passive pressure given water to the slopes. The most critical safety factor condition occurs during low tide conditions because there is still residual river water entering the soil pores. Analysis of stability against overturning force, shear force, and safety against bearing capacity was also declared safe.

Abstract

Clay soil has low bearing capacity, stability, and CBR (California Bearing Ratio). Subgrade with low CBR need reinforcement to improve mechanical properties and increase bearing capacity when compacting and spreading soil with heavy equipment and when the vehicle load is working on the road surface. Bamboo material has the potential to be used as reinforcement for clay soil. This study aims to determine the effect of woven and non-woven bamboo mat reinforcement and the effect of the number of layers of reinforcement on the CBR value. Reinforcement of bamboo mats is distinguished by 3 and 5 layers of woven and non-woven types with the number of strokes on the CBR specimen as many as 25-blow and 56-blow. The CBR test was conducted on unreinforced and reinforced clay. The CBR value of soil reinforced with non-woven bamboo mats was obtained at 4.4-5.06%, while the CBR value for soils with reinforced woven bamboo mats was 4.56-5.30%. The arrangement of the woven type bamboo mats is closer and tied to each other, making it more sturdy and stable in accepting the load. The number of layers of reinforcement with closer vertical spacing results in a higher CBR value than the number of layers of reinforcement that are less. Closer vertical spacing can expand the pressure contact area, so that the load that can be carried is higher. Woven type bamboo mats with more layers were found to have good performance in increasing the CBR value of subgrade for road construction.

Abstract

Abstract

Soil is an important element in supporting development activities in the world of civil construction. One type of soil that is often found in South Sumatra is clay. Clay soil is a type of fine-grained soil that is strongly influenced by water content. Each clay has a different carrying capacity value, therefore an analysis is needed to test the effect of adding a mixture of materials to the clay. To see the effect of adding mixed materials to the soil, a test was carried out, in this test soil samples were taken from the Banyuasin district and added mixed materials in the form of fiber, husk ash and cement. For variations in soil mixture testing, 0.1% fiber, 2.5% husk ash and cement consist of 2.5%, 5% and 7.5% as well as plain water. The test results show that the addition of a mixture of fiber, husk ash and cement can improve the physical and mechanical properties of clay. For testing of physical and mechanical properties, where the cohesion value increased with the addition of 7.5% cement of 43.78 Kpa with a shear angle of 17.30o.
