Abstract

The rapid development of information technology, informationization of education has become inevitable. Starting from the necessity of information-based teaching, this paper introduces the basic structure of the BOPPPS model and analyzes the content of each stage of the model. On this basis, the BOPPPS model is applied to the teaching of basic properties of fractions with the help of Hawgent dynamic mathematics software, in order to provide a theoretical basis for teachers to improve the teaching and methods of elementary mathematics, enhance the efficiency of classroom teaching, and help the implementation of "double reduction".

Abstract

Learning models appearing in the classroom are psychologically far from students’ daily lives, despite the fact that there are numerous traditions available to students that might form the basis for the development of a learning model. This study was intended to produce a model of Project Based Learning (PBL) based on Batobo. The Batobo tradition performed by Kuantan Singingi people in Riau is a tradition of working together on an agricultural land. This study used research and development (R&D) proposed by Borg and Gall stages to develop the tradition based learning model. The data collection technique started from conducting a literature review, interviewing groups or community leaders and designing models. The results of the research revealed that Batobo based Project Based Learning model was conducted in five stages in learning included the initiation (manyamulo), followed by project planning (mancangkul/manugal), project implementation (mananam), discussion (manuai) and the last stage was evaluation (closing). The Batobo based Project Based Learning model described the learning activities carried out by referring to the Batobo tradition. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the PBL model based on the batobo tradition which consists of five stages of learning developed is suitable for use in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effects of the Project Based Learning model on students' creative thinking skills in Civics subject on Concepts, Values, Morals and Norms topic. This is a quantitative research, using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. Subjects of this research were 74 second year students in class A and B of Elementary School Teacher Education Program, Nusa Cendana University. Results were analyzed and tested for its t value through independent sample t test using IBM SPSS Statistics v.16 for Windows. Data analysis result showed that the value of independent sample t-test was 0.020 <0.05. This indicated that there was no enough evidence to accept Ho. Therefore, it could be concluded that there was a positive and significant effect of project based learning model on creative thinking skills in Civics subject comprising Concepts, Values, Morals and Norm material of PGSD Students at Nusa Cendana University, Kupang.

Abstract

Teachers’ mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge has been a central issue for the last few decades. Therefore, this study investigates and compares prospective teachers’ mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge referring to gender, year of study, and academic major. This study used an online survey through online questionnaires. The population was prospective elementary and mathematics teachers from a public university in Riau province, Indonesia. The questionnaires were distributed via WhatsApp, and LMS integrated in courses in the University. There were 195 prospective teachers participated in this study. A non- parametric statistical analysis was used to compare teachers’ knowledge based on gender, year of study, and academic major. The findings reveal that there were no significant differences of teachers’ mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge based on gender, year of study, and academic major. Therefore, mathematics learning at university has no impact on prospective teachers’ self- evaluation of their knowledge.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to identify the impact of Team Assisted Individualization models on the academic results of primary school students on the topic "environment is our best friend." The above research was quantitative and employs a quasi-experimental situation design. The design of a non-equivalent Control Group is being used in the study. The grouping sampling method had been used to sample the population, which was composed of 3 SD in Cluster I, Kec. IV, Jurai. The study was undertaken at Class VA had 16 students in it as an experiment group and Class VB had 15 students in it as a control group. Preconditioned test results in the form of normality, homogeneity tests, and hypothetical tests using the t-test were also used to analyze the data for this research. The experimental class's pre-test average was 46,25, and the post- test average was 80,5 after implementing the Team Assisted Individualization learning models. Meanwhile, after being taught using the traditional approach of 64,13, the control class received an average of 49,06 There is a pre-test and a post-test. Then there's the t- test both had a significant level of 0,05. This ttable = 2,045 > tcount = 3,605. It can be concluded that the Team Assisted Individualization model has an impact on students' learning outcomes when it comes to the topic "environment is our best friend.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of video learning media on fourth- grade students’ mathematics learning achievement on fractions. The study aimed to determine if video learning media could enhance students’ understanding and improve their mathematical performance in comparison to traditional teaching methods. The subject of this study is 62 fourth-grade students from a public elementary school in Jakarta. The students were divided into 2 classes which an experimental class and control class. This study used quasi experimental design with quantitative method and non-probability sampling. The results indicated a positive influence of video learning media on fourth grade students’ achievement on fractions, with tcount(8.034) ≥ ttable(2.0003). This study implies that the video learning media is an effective teaching tool in mathematics education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of comic strip media on the ability to write stories for third-grade students at a private Islamic school in Porong. This research uses quantitative research. sampling with non-probability techniques to obtain 1 class, namely class III, following the data taken by the researchers. The data collection technique used the test method to find out the results of writing essays using a pre-test and post-test to find out how much influence the use of comic strip media had on the ability to write essays. In this study, the pre-experimental design was used with the one-group pretest- posttest design. The population that became the object of this research was 20 third-grade students of a private Islamic school in Porong. Based on data analysis using the N-Gain formula, it shows that the average result of the pre-test is 67.7, and the average result of the post- test score is 85.55. Based on data processing from the Eta Squared test, it was 0.871 in the pre-test and 0.882 in the post-test. If t 0.14 indicates that this comic strip medium has a significant influence, the results of the paired sample pre-test sig. (2-tailed) in the study are.000, then the decision-making is following the t-test. If the value of sig. (2-tailed) is below 0.05, then there is an increase or a very significant effect on the research variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of comic strip media on the ability to write stories by third-grade students greatly affects their writing ability of students.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low ability to solve mathematical problems in geometry materials (square, rectangle, and triangle). An effort to overcome this problem is to conduct learning using the PREMIER model, which combines Project Based Learning, Realistic Mathematics Education, and Course Review Horay. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out with four meetings. The subject of the study was a grade IV student of a public elementary school in Banjarmasin City in the academic year of 2021/2022, with a total of 13 students. The data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study show that student activity has increased, which at meeting one only reached 38.5% until at meeting four, it increased to 92.3% with a very active category.
