Appropriate technology learning must be able to touch all levels of society. In this research, we combine formal education with informal education inthe form of participatory education for adults. Participatory education isintended to involve the community directly participating in theimplementation of this research by seeing, doing, and observing the process. The aim is how to utilize liquid smoke from coconut frond waste as avegetable insecticide as well as a repellent or insect repellent because itcontains phenol or phenolic, antioxidant, antimicrobial in coconut plants inthe people of Aceh Besar. Based on the results of chemical analysis in liquidsmoke found elements or chemical substances, such as acetic acid, carboxyland phenol. This study aims to determine how the effect of temperature andduration of combustion on the yield (final product), such as the degree ofacidity, acetic acid content, and phenol content. This research was carriedout using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two mainfactors, namely: Factor-1 burning for 2-3 hours and Factor-2 with variationsin temperature 200oC, 250oC, 300oC, 350oC, 400oC. The best result forliquid smoke is 25% (w/w) of 20 kg of dry matter from coconut fronds. Theaverage content of acetic acid (CH3COOH) is 6.45 mg/ml. And the contentof phenol (C6H6O) is 3.76 ppm.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences in the improvement of mathematical reasoning abilities of students who received learning with genius learning strategies and students who received conventional learning at SMA Negeri 1 Runding, Subulussalam City. This study used a pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study were class X students, which consisted of four classes and two classes were taken randomly to be the sample, namely class X2 as the experimental class and class X1 as the control class. The instrument used to obtain research data is in the form of a mathematical reasoning ability test. The statistical test used to analyze the data on increasing mathematical reasoning ability was the free sample t test. The results showed that the increase in the mathematical reasoning ability of students who received learning with the genius learning strategy was significantly better than students who received conventional learning

Thepurpose of this study was to determine the content of sodium benzoate andthe levels in packaged mayonnaise. This research was conducted at theChemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education,Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh to improve the student learningexperience in basic chemistry courses, using five samples of packagedmayonnaise. The results showed that the five samples of packagedmayonnaise were positive for the preservative sodium benzoate.Determination of the preservative content of Sodium benzoate wasdetermined using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method at max 280 nm. Fromthe measurement results, the sodium benzoate content of sample M1 = 68mg/kg, sample M2 = 35.5 mg/kg, sample M3 = 85.5 mg/kg, sample M4 =95.5 mg/kg and M5 mg/kg = 30.5 and the use of preservative sodiumbenzoate in the packaged mayonnaise does not exceed the maximum limitthat has been set.

This study aims to know how patterns and ways to integrate science values with character and how students' attitudes change after the learning process at SMP Negeri Banda Aceh. The population in this study were all public junior high school students in five regions in Aceh whose character represented the area. The sample consisted of 102 third grade students who were taken randomly. They follow the learning process by integrating character values in three meetings with teaching materials on ecosystems and the interaction of living things with the environment which ends with a post test to get the value of student learning outcomes. The data processing method uses t-test statistics. the results of the study showed that there was an increase in student achievement after using the integration model in learning with ecosystem and environmental teaching materials. We also believe that the model of integrating local wisdom values is able to shape the character of students, so it needs support from all parties for implementation in the field.

Abstract

The Covid-19 disaster has prompted the adjustment of the learning process at various levels of education from basic to tertiary levels. The adjustments of the teachers to the disaster included the use of Distance Learning (PJJ). Therefore, a research was conducted that aimed at how prepared the teacher was in the use of the intended PJJ technology; case study of learning during the covid-19 period in Banda Aceh. The research sample of primary school teachers and madrasah Ibtidaiyah amounted to 55 people. Data collection tools are interviews and questionnaires containing statements with answers provided. The data were analyzed using the percentage method. The results of the study indicate that in general school/madrasah teachers have limitations in using online software for the learning process. Even though the teachers have good readiness manually in preparation for learning, they have not  able yet to compile well in soft copy as learning material to be presented in PJJ. Therefore, continuous training and mentoring is needed so that teacher competence continues to increase, especially in the use of technology for PJJ.
