Abstract

In the Society 5.0 era, information technology skills are increasingly crucial for Vocational High School (SMK) students, particularly those focused on Software Engineering (RPL). This study aims to enhance students' collaborative skills in software project development through training in GIT, a distributed version control system. The training was conducted at SMK Badan Perguruan Indonesia, Bandung, with the primary goal of improving students' abilities to work as a team using GIT. The implementation of the community service program (PkM) consisted of four stages: preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. During the preparation stage, the team identified specific needs ofstudents and teachers through discussions with the school. The training stage involved introducing the basic concepts of GIT, hands-on practice, and case studies on its application in real projects. The mentoring stage ensured the smooth implementation ofGIT, followed by evaluation through pre-tests, post-tests, and participant satisfaction surveys. Results showed a significant improvement in both students' and teachers' understanding. The average increase in teachers' understanding reached 16.19%, with the highest improvement of 40% in understanding how GIT works. Additionally, 26.67% of respondents found the training to be very clear, enjoyable, and beneficial. The implications of this program include improved collaboration quality in students' software projects, as reflected in more structured and well-organized project outcomes. The implementation of GIT also contributed to curriculum enhancement, particularly in project-based learning, aligning more closely with the current demands of the technology industry. This training is expected to be continuously implemented to enhance students' competitiveness in meeting the challenges of the information technology sector.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of santri in managing waste, both organic and inorganic, as well as introduce the concept of waste banks and the benefits of magot in waste management. Through a series of educational materials and hands-on practices, participants were invited to care more about the environment and trained to turn waste into valuable resources. The pretest results showed that most participants already had a basic understanding of waste management, but their knowledge of magot and organic waste processing practices were still low. After the mentoring activities, the posttest results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, especially in distinguishing between types of waste, understanding the benefits of magot, and awareness of the importance of waste management. As many as 93% of participants felt more confident to process organic waste in the boarding school environment, and 96% of participants were committed to inviting friends or family to participate in waste management activities. This shows that this service activity has succeeded in increasing environmental awareness and empowering santri as agents of change in preserving the environment. This activity is expected to be sustainable, with santri as pioneers in waste management in the pesantren environment and surrounding communities, and become an example for similar programs in the future.

Abstract

TOGA is a type of medicinal plant of choice used for first aid. TOGA can be planted hydroponically to overcome limited land. TOGA that has been cultivated can be used as a learning resource for students by presenting digitized information in the form of a QR-Code. Counseling regarding TOGA, Hydroponic training and digitalization outreach aims to provide broader knowledge to pharmacy students regarding TOGA and procedures for growing TOGA hydroponically so that it can support classroom learning. Students can obtain information by scanning the QR-Code from each TOGA. Yappan Pasir Pengaraian Vocational School has limited vacant land, while the pharmacy department requires TOGA in the school to support learning activities that are listed in the pharmacy department syllabus. Meanwhile, the presence of TOGA in schools is very minimal, there are only a few plants planted in pots. Apart from that, there is no complete information regarding TOGA, so students have difficulty utilizing the plants around the school. Therefore, it is necessary to present a TOGA hydroponic garden and also be equipped with digitalization of information in an effort to make it easier for students to obtain information. The results of this training are additional knowledge regarding TOGA, how to plant TOGA hydroponically and how to access information via QR-Code.
