Abstract

The training on strengthening school leadership competencies in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is a community service program aimed at supporting school principals in addressing new challenges in the field of education. The Independent Curriculum emphasizes more flexible learning and focuses on developing the individual potential of students, requiring adaptive and innovative leadership from school principals. The service method used includes workshops, group discussions, and case studies involving the active participation of school principals from various educational levels. The results of the training show an improvement in principals' abilities to manage change, effectively implement the Independent Curriculum, and enhance the quality of learning in their respective schools. In conclusion, strengthening school leadership competencies in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is an essential step to support the achievement of high-quality education that is relevant to current developments. Keywords: competence, leadership,principalship, Merdeka curriculum Abstrak Pelatihan penguatan kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mendukung kepala sekolah dalam menghadapi tantangan baru dalam dunia pendidikan. Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pada pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel dan berfokus pada pengembangan potensi peserta didik, sehingga membutuhkan kepemimpinan yang adaptif dan inovatif dari kepala sekolah. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah pelatihan berbasis workshop, diskusi kelompok, dan studi kasus yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif kepala sekolah dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam mengelola perubahan, menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka secara efektif, serta meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah masing-masing. Simpulan bahwa penguatan kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan langkah penting untuk mendukung tercapainya pendidikan yang berkualitas dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Abstract

The empowerment program implemented in Tapuhahi Village, Bombana Regency aims to equip the partner group with knowledge and skills in handling and processing fish into high-quality dried salted fish according to Indonesian national standards. This empowerment utilizes the ABCD method to transfer information and skills to the partner groups to ensure the quality and safety of the dried salted fish produced. The empowerment program showed that 40% of participants had the knowledge and skills to produce quality fish. The results of the post-training evaluation showed that the training successfully imparted essential skills while identifying specific areas for improvement. These insights provide a basis for refining the training to better meet the needs of processors and improve future training outcomes, ensuring the program remains effective and relevant. The implications of the program are reduced post-harvest losses, increased group income, improved product quality and safety, and replication to other processing groups.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi menuntut penguasaan literasi data sebagai kompetensi esensial bagi siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Literasi data berfungsi membantu siswa memahami, menganalisis, dan memanfaatkan data untuk pengambilan keputusan berbasis bukti sekaligus mendorong keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kolaboratif. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam tema "Suara Demokrasi" melalui pelatihan literasi data yang terintegrasi dengan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila pada Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini meliputi pemaparan materi, diskusi kelompok, praktik pencarian data, analisis data, dan presentasi hasil. Evaluasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata 4,05 pada relevansi materi dan 4,01 pada kejelasan materi, dengan 83,51% peserta memberikan penilaian positif. Namun, tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa lebih rendah (3,96), menunjukkan perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan analisis dan argumentasi siswa, mendukung partisipasi aktif mereka dalam proses demokrasi. Rekomendasi meliputi pengenalan perangkat analisis data yang lebih canggih, perluasan program ke lintas disiplin, serta kolaborasi institusi untuk memperkuat dampaknya

Abstract

Banyuwangi has immense potential in terms of natural tourism and cultural heritage, which greatly attracts both domestic and international tourists. This presents an opportunity for Banyuwangi's souvenir businesses to continuously develop their enterprises. Blimbingsari Creative Craft (BCC) is one of UMKM in the craft industry, established in 2003. Its products have been marketed internationally, and BCC frequently receives financial support from the government to expand its business. Although BCC has already reached international customers, it currently lacks a website to showcase its company profile and products. The Community Service Program (PKM) conducted by lecturers and students from Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi focuses on building a website to manage information on activities and product catalog. The program also includes training for BCC staff to manage data, ensuring that the displayed information is always up-to-date and available in real-time. The outcome of this project is a web-based platform with bilingual features, serving as a digital promotional tool for BCC's products. BCC staff expressed that the website has greatly facilitated the management of information and product catalog, making it easier to organize and store the data in a database

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PKM) carried out at Graha Yatim (GRAY) Cempaka Putih, Jakarta, aim to help students in grades 5 elementary to 2 high school to have better English language skills. The activity begins with an assessment of the English language skills as well as the interests and talents of students assisted by the GRAY orphanage in learning English. Followed by activities to improve students' English skills through the language learning application "English with Noni". This activity was attended by GRAY students and accompanying teachers. Interest and talent mapping was carried out in 1 session by the Psychology Faculty team, language learning was carried out by the Teacher Training and Education Faculty. This activity will be carried out in June – July 2024, organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, and the Faculty of Engineering. The results obtained were changes in English language skills by GRAY students. This can be seen from the English language ability scores, which were measured before and after participating in training with the English with Noni application, where the values ​​that increased were the vocabulary scores for understanding short videos, and the courage to use English in conversation. The sustainability of this program is that volunteer teachers continue learning English using the English with Noni application

Abstract

This article was developed based on a planning program that involved undergraduate students using Participatory Asset Mapping technique at a private university in Yogyakarta. Engaging 12 students across educational programs at Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta, the program aims to identify environmental assets that, according to the participants, contribute to academic performance and recommend strategies for decision-makers at the university to improve the campus environmental quality. Integrating the PAM technique, Focus Group Discussion, and structured interviews at the data collecting phase and employing Excel for data calculation and NVivo for coding at the analysis phase, the program found nine critical assets in improving academic performance along with their meaning that are defined by the functions of the assets. The recommended strategies revolved around improving the assets’ facilities, accessibility, and service quality. The findings highlight the importance of engaging students in the university’s attempts to enhance the quality of its educational services.

Abstract

Cassava is one of the primary food commodities with a strategic role in supporting food security. In Riau Province, cassava production centers continue to grow annually. One of the cassava-based products with increasing demand in both national and international markets is cassava flour. RH Laksmana Cassava Flour is a producer located in Kampar Regency, relying on sunlight for drying cassava chips and manually sieving flour using a 40 cm kitchen sieve, which is inefficient. Marketing efforts are limited to personal social media accounts. This community service project implemented two machines, provided a website and its training, and conducted digital marketing training. Results showed a 41.6% improvement in sieving time efficiency and a 140% increase in sieved production output. Drying processes also became more hygienic and weather-independent, with a capacity of 160 kg/day

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) was carried out by lecturers from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Ngurah Rai University with the aim of improving the infrastructure of Keraban Langit Temple through the planning of wall fences, retaining foundations, and parking areas. The methods used include field surveys, measurements, infrastructure design with AutoCAD. The results are in the form of technical designs that support the aesthetics of Balinese culture and improve the security and comfort of the temple. This program supports the preservation of local cultural heritage while strengthening academic and community collaboration. The results of this PkM are in the form of a design drawing of a wall fence with a length of 80.9 m and a height of 1.75 m, a plan for a retaining foundation with a length of 38 m and a height of 0.8 m, and a plan for installing paving in a parking area with an area of ​​213.5 m2. Thus, with PkM, accessibility, security, and comfort can be improved, with an aesthetic traditional Balinese fence design and a stable retaining foundation. This program not only supports the preservation of local culture but also creates a model of collaboration between academics and the community for the development of sustainable infrastructure.

Abstract

Training in creating Virtual Reality (VR)-based teaching media aims to improve teachers' pedagogical competence in implementing the Independent Curriculum. The use of VR technology in teaching media provides an interactive and immersive learning experience, thus encouraging students to be more active and creative. This activity program involves the Lhokseumawe City Teacher Communication Forum (FKGPL), namely 30 teacher leaders as participants. The implementation of the activity uses a training method in creating VR media for 2 days, namely September 11-12, 2024 in the hall of the Lhokseumawe City Office branch. Participants are able to produce one VR media according to the field of study taught by each participant. The results of the activity, although they have difficulties and require time in the process, the participants managed to compile VR media according to their field of study and improve the participants' pedagogical abilities by 30%. This training program is a basic skill for participants in virtualizing teaching materials, so that they can design virtual-based learning.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru dalam membuat komik berbasis kearifan lokal berbantuan aplikasi Pixton. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian yang digunakan yaitu persiapan dan sosialisasi, pelatihan, refleksi dan evaluasi. Instrumen evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu sebanyak 93% guru dapat merancang materi bermuatan karifan lokal, menyusun naskah cerita komik berkaitan dengan kearifan lokal, dan membuat komik berbasis kearifan lokal menggunakan aplikasi Pixton. Berdasarkan hasil angket yang disebar dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata keterampilan guru dalam membuat komik berbasis kearifan lokal berbantuan aplikasi Pixton sebesar 4,23 yang berada pada kategori sangat tinggi (ST).
