Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive examination of how the surrounding environment can be utilized as a learning resource in Social Studies (IPS) at the elementary school level. Beyond discussing theoretical foundations, this research also offers practical guidelines for teachers to design learning activities that are more contextually relevant to students’ real-life situations. Using a literature review approach, the study compiles various references that highlight the effectiveness of environmental-based learning and its contribution to improving the overall quality of instruction. The findings reveal that students’ engagement significantly increases when the local environment is integrated into the learning process. Activities such as direct observation, exploring social conditions in the community, and examining geographical phenomena make the learning experience more dynamic and meaningful. Students gain a deeper understanding of the material because they can connect academic concepts to real situations they encounter daily. However, several challenges arise, including limited instructional time, insufficient supporting facilities, and varying levels of teacher readiness in implementing environment-based learning. These obstacles can be addressed through careful planning, strong institutional support, and collaboration with the local community. Overall, this study emphasizes that incorporating the environment as a learning resource can create a more interactive and student-centered classroom atmosphere. This approach not only enhances students’ comprehension but also fosters critical thinking, creativity, and social awareness. With consistent application, environment-based learning has the potential to offer substantial benefits for students, teachers, and the broader community.

Abstract

Revolusi digital menuntut integrasi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam pendidikan, termasuk di tingkat Taman Kanak-kanak (TK). Namun, guru TK Plus Tunas Rimba Cabang Purwakarta mengalami kesenjangan kompetensi digital, di mana perangkat yang ada hanya terbatas untuk komunikasi, sementara pembelajaran masih mengandalkan media fisik. Kondisi ini mendasari perlunya intervensi untuk memanfaatkan tools digital sederhana. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendokumentasikan dan merefleksikan proses, respons, dan pembelajaran dari penyelenggaraan workshop pengenalan LearningApps.org bagi guru-guru TK tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang berfokus pada intervensi singkat (3 jam) ini sebagai first exposure. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi partisipan, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa workshop tersebut berhasil menciptakan pengalaman interaktif pertama dan memungkinkan semua guru mengoperasikan dasar-dasar platform hingga menghasilkan produk media interaktif sederhana. Mayoritas guru memilih template "Pemasangan Pasangan" dan "Kuis Sederhana" karena relevan dengan aspek perkembangan anak usia dini. Meskipun terdapat kendala teknis dan personal, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan awareness dan self-efficacy guru, mengubah perspektif mereka bahwa teknologi dapat menciptakan pembelajaran interaktif dan tidak membosankan. Laporan ini berfungsi sebagai rujukan program pengenalan teknologi serupa dengan sumber daya dan waktu yang terbatas.Abstrak ditulis maksimal 250 kata yang menggambarkan masalah,tujuan penelitian, metodologi dan hasil yang diperoleh. Abstrak ini dapat ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dengan semua tulisan dimiringkan. Ditulis dengan menggunakan huruf Arial 12 dengan satu spasi. Abstract

This research is based on the low critical thinking skills of students in the science subject of grade IV at SD Negeri 22 Tulang Bawang Udik. Students tend to be passive and less active during the learning process, thus having an impact on low learning outcomes, especially critical thinking skills. To overcome this problem, the ASSURE learning model combined with STORYBOARD media was applied in the hope of increasing students' activeness and critical thinking skills. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the use of the ASSURE learning model assisted by STORYBOARD media is effective on students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the model in grade IV students.The research uses a quantitative approach with the type of Quasi Experiment Design and Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample amounted to 43 students, namely 20 students of class IV B as a control class using the PBL model and 23 students of class IV A as an experimental class using the ASSURE model assisted by STORYBOARD media. The data collection instruments were in the form of pretest and posttest with 10 description questions. Data were analyzed using a t-test after meeting the prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so there was a significant difference between the posttest value of the experimental and control classes. Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The study concluded that the ASSURE learning model assisted by STORYBOARD media was effective in improving the critical thinking skills of grade IV students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang penerapan teknik behavior contract untuk mengurangi cyber aggression siswa SMP Negeri 25 Makassar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran perilaku cyber aggression pada siswa SMP Negeri 25 Makassar? (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran pelaksanaan teknik behavior contract pada siswa SMP Negeri 25 Makassar? (3) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana teknik behavior contract dapat mengurangi perilaku cyber aggression siswa di SMP Negeri 25 Makassar? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi-eksperimen design pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 36 siswa SMP Negeri 25 Makassar yang teridentifikasi memiliki perilaku cyber aggression tinggi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa, yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 10 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan 10 siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala cyber aggression typology questioner dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis independent sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Gambaran perilaku cyber aggression siswa sebelum diberikan treatment yaitu mengirimkan stiker tidak senonoh karena merasa itu hal yang lucu, memberikan komentar buruk pada postingan random, ketika marah siswa menggunakan sosial media untuk membalas orang lain: 2) Penerapan teknik behavior contract terdiri dari 6 tahapan yaitu rasional, analisis perilaku, penentuan jenis penguatan, pemberian reinforcement, intervensi khusus, evaluasi: 3) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum diberikan intervensi berupa teknik behavior contract siswa yang awalnya berada pada kategori tinggi mengelami penurunan yang signifikan setelah diberikan intervensi dan berada pada kategori rendah. Dengan demikian pemberian intervensi teknik behavior contract teruji dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi perilaku cyber aggression siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari urgensi keterpaduan visi dan misi sekolah dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar. SDN 017 Samarinda Utara dipilih sebagai lokasi kajian karena pelaksanaan nilai-nilai karakter dalam Kurikulum Merdeka masih menunjukkan perbedaan antar guru dan keterlibatan orang tua yang belum berjalan secara konsisten. Tujuan penelitian adalah menelaah tingkat keselarasan antara visi-misi sekolah dengan praktik pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran, lingkungan sekolah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, sekaligus mengidentifikasi hambatan serta strategi penguatannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis dokumen, observasi lapangan, serta wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa visi–misi sekolah telah diwujudkan melalui sejumlah praktik pendidikan karakter, seperti pembiasaan 5S, kegiatan yang mengacu pada Profil Pelajar Pancasila, penilaian sikap, serta aktivitas kerja sama baik di dalam kelas maupun dalam kegiatan luar kelas. Lingkungan fisik sekolah turut mendukung internalisasi nilai karakter melalui keberadaan poster, slogan, dan media visual lainnya. Meskipun demikian, beberapa tantangan masih dijumpai, antara lain ketiadaan instrumen evaluasi karakter yang baku, tingkat pemahaman visi–isi yang belum merata di antara pendidik, serta keterlibatan orang tua yang masih kurang optimal. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian merekomendasikan sejumlah penguatan, seperti penyelenggaraan pelatihan guru secara berkelanjutan, pengembangan rubrik penilaian karakter yang terukur, pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter ke dalam asesmen, serta penguatan program parenting guna meningkatkan kolaborasi sekolah dan keluarga. Secara keseluruhan, visi-misi SDN 017 Samarinda Utara terbukti relevan dan memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape learning practices, including Informatics subjects in vocational high schools, where teachers are required to be increasingly adaptive to modern technologies. However, the level of AI utilization in vocational education remains varied and is strongly influenced by teachers’ perceptions as the key actors in classroom implementation. This study aims to analyze vocational school teachers’ perceptions of AI integration in Informatics learning, focusing on perceived usefulness, ease of use, readiness, and the challenges they encounter. The research employed a quantitative descriptive survey method involving Informatics teachers from several vocational schools. Data were collected using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire,and analyzed with descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that most teachers hold positive perceptions of AI, recognizing its potential to support material preparation, assessment processes, and personalized learning. Nevertheless, actual implementation remains limited due to constraints such as insufficient technical skills, lack of structured training, and inadequate school facilities and connectivity. These results highlight the need to strengthen teachers’ literacy and competencies through practice-oriented training and the provision of supporting infrastructure to ensure effective AI integration in Informatics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the school principal’s digital leadership and its implications for the performance of productive teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Ampek Nagari. A mixed-methods approach was employed by combining quantitative analysis from questionnaires completed by 12 teachers and the principal with qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews. The findings indicate a noticeable difference in perceptions between the principal and teachers, especially regarding digital infrastructure, technical support, and industry collaboration. While the principal perceives the digitalization process as progressing well, teachers believe that its implementation remains uneven and constrained by limited facilities. Triangulation of data reveals that this perception gap stems from differing role perspectives in understanding digital transformation. The study underscores the need for needs-based training, improved digital facilities, and continuous evaluation to optimize digital leadership in vocational learning environments.

Abstract

Technology continues to evolve rapidly, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) becoming increasingly utilized across various sectors. Currently, AI technology has permeated the sphere of human social interaction, functioning as companions or partners, typically manifested through chatbot-based conversational applications. The progression of time, culture, and technology presents new challenges for the development of social skills in young adults. Given the prevalence of AI-based chatbot applications, this study aims to explore the role of young adults' perceptions of Character Artificial Intelligence on their social skills. This research utilized a quantitative method employing simple regression data analysis techniques. The findings indicate that young adults' perceptions of Character Artificial Intelligence contribute positively and significantly, accounting for 9.9% of the variance in social skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Quizizz-based gamified instruction and students’ learning motivation in improving reading literacy among fifth-grade elementary students. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved 46 students divided into an experimental group using Quizizz and a control group taught conventionally. Reading literacy tests were administered before and after the intervention, and motivation data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring interest, attention, persistence, and participation. The findings reveal significant improvement in both groups, as indicated by paired sample t-test results. The experimental group achieved higher posttest performance, marked by an increase in minimum achievement and a higher maximum score, suggesting stronger overall learning consistency. Although the control group showed a higher numerical gain due to the ceiling effect, the independent sample t-test demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups, confirming the substantial influence of Quizizz on learning quality. High motivation scores, especially in interest and attention, further support the role of gamified learning in enhancing students’ affective engagement. The study concludes that Quizizz and learning motivation simultaneously contribute to improved reading literacy. The results emphasize the relevance of gamification as a strategic pedagogical tool for literacy instruction in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) elements into freshwater aquaculture production within the Teaching Factory (TEFA) model at SMK Dzakiyyun Cianjur. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving productive teachers, industrial instructors, and students directly engaged in the production cycle. The findings indicate that SEL competencies are embedded in all stages of the TEFA workflow with different emphases on self-management, responsible decision-making, social awareness, and relationship skills. Furthermore, the role of teachers has shifted from technical instructors to emotional coaches through the consistent mechanism of briefing–action–debriefing and authentic assessment of soft skills. The integration of SEL noticeably strengthened students’ engagement, self-initiative, and team collaboration under pressured work conditions. This research provides new insights into vocational education by demonstrating that embedding SEL within TEFA constitutes an effective strategy to reduce soft-skill gaps among vocational graduates and enhance holistic job readiness in the context of modern freshwater aquaculture industries.
