Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan materi siklus rantai makanan secara mendalam melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 009 Hutaraja. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep rantai makanan yang selama ini hanya diajarkan secara teoritis tanpa media konkret sehingga menyebabkan siswa sulit memahami alur perpindahan energi antarmakhluk hidup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas V tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Media piramida rantai makanan digunakan sebagai alat bantu visual tiga dimensi untuk memudahkan siswa memahami peran produsen, konsumen I, konsumen II, konsumen III, serta predator puncak dalam ekosistem. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, tes hasil belajar, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media piramida dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, terlihat dari peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan hasil tes. Presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 57% pada pratindakan menjadi 78% pada siklus I dan 93% pada siklus II. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan antusiasme dan keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi dalam pembelajaran berbasis media konkret. Dengan demikian, penerapan media piramida dalam pembelajaran materi siklus rantai makanan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, hasil belajar, serta motivasi siswa. Media piramida dapat dijadikan alternatif inovasi pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar untuk memperkuat pembelajaran berbasis visual, konkret, dan berpusat pada siswa.

This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students in Indonesian language learning. This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 002 Tanjung. This study is a classroom action research, conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. Based on the results of the research conducted through two cycles, in cycle I meeting 1, the number of students who completed the test was 36.8% with a very low category, and in cycle I meeting 2, the number of students who completed the test was 47.4% with a very low category. In cycle II meeting 1, the number of students who passed increased to 63.2% in the low category, and in cycle II meeting 2, the number of students who passed was 78.9% in the moderate category. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that the application of the CIRC model with the help of pictures can improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 002 Tanjung in Indonesian language.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sering terjadinya kesalahan berbahasa dalam tulisan karangan narasi peserta didik, terutama pada penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca sesuai kaidah Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia yang Disempurnakan (EYD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca, serta mengetahui kesalahan yang sering muncul dalam karangan narasi peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Salamjajar Kecamatan Cisitu Kabupaten Sumedang Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi karangan narasi hasil tulisan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik masih banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca. Total keseluruhan kesalahan yang ditemukan adalah sebanyak 88 kesalahan, yang terdiri atas 42 kesalahan huruf kapital dan 46 kesalahan tanda baca. Hal ini mencerminkan rendahnya pengetahuan peserta didik terhadap kaidah penulisan yang baik dan benar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembelajaran yang lebih terarah dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik, khususnya dalam penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca yang sesuai dengan kaidah EYD.

This study aims to analyze the historical development of the philosophy of sciencefrom the classical, medieval, modern, to contemporary periods, as well as toexamine the contribution of each period in shaping contemporary scientificparadigms. This study is based on the understanding that the philosophy of sciencecannot be separated from the dynamics of human intellectual history and the social,cultural, and intellectual contexts surrounding it. The research employs a libraryresearch method with a historical-philosophical approach through comparativeanalysis of the thoughts of philosophers and key works in the philosophy of scienceacross different historical periods. Data are obtained from relevant academicliterature, including books and scholarly journal articles. The findings indicate thatduring the classical period, the philosophy of science emphasized the search for theessence of knowledge through rationality and logic as the foundation of scientificinquiry. The medieval period was characterized by a synthesis of Greek philosophyand theological traditions in both Islamic and Christian thought, resulting in anunderstanding of knowledge as a unity of reason and revelation. The modern periodmarked a significant shift toward rationalism, empiricism, and the development ofscientific methods based on observation and experimentation, leading to theseparation of philosophy from science. Meanwhile, the contemporary period ischaracterized by criticism of positivism, the emergence of methodological pluralism,and critical reflections on ethical, social, and cultural dimensions of scientificpractice. This study concludes that the development of the philosophy of science isdynamic and contextual, making historical understanding essential for building acritical and reflective scientific framework.

The ability to solve mathematical problems is an essential aspect of mathematics learning, influenced by affective factors such as self-efficacy and learning interest. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and learning interest in supporting students’ ability to solve mathematical problems. The method used is a systematic literature review of scientific articles published between 2022 and 2025, with searches conducted through Google Scholar, and SINTA using the keywords “self-efficacy,” “learning interest,” and “mathematical problem solving.” A review of 30 relevant articles shows that self-efficacy affects students’ confidence and perseverance, while learning interest enhances motivation and active engagement in the problem-solving process. Overall, both factors contribute positively to improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Low reading interest among elementary students in Indonesia is often exacerbated by rigid, non-ergonomic, and visually unappealing library conditions. This study aims to analyze the impact of child-friendly library interior design innovations on the formation of educational behavior among students in Tegal Regency. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted in three elementary schools participating in the Child-Friendly Library program. Data were collected via participatory observation, structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that interior design transformations focusing on physical elements (vibrant colors, zoning, ergonomic furniture), environmental aspects, and inclusivity successfully created a more stimulating and comfortable library atmosphere. This spatial transformation significantly impacted students' educational behaviors, evidenced by increased independent visit initiatives (reading interest), longer reading focus duration (persistence), and collaborative social interactions during literacy activities. It is concluded that library interior design serves not merely as an aesthetic improvement, but as a vital pedagogical instrument in fostering a sustainable literacy culture in schools

National education currently faces complex challenges in the globalization era, where technological advancements often outpace the emotional and moral maturity of the younger generation. The phenomenon of character degradation and the erosion of cultural identity necessitates a reinforcement of value education, which is frequently sidelined by purely academic targets. This study aims to deeply analyze the concept, implementation strategies, and impact of value education within the Indonesian national curriculum, as well as conduct a comparative study with education systems in developed countries. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study examines literature related to educational policies, pedagogical theories, and global practices. The results indicate that the implementation of value education in Indonesia does not stand alone but is integrated through the synergy of the "Tri Pusat Pendidikan" (school, family, community) and internalized within various subjects and school culture. Comparative analysis reveals significant philosophical differences: while Finland is based on trust and flexibility, and Japan emphasizes strict discipline through moral subjects (Doutoku), Indonesia is characterized by a foundation of religious values and the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong/Pancasila). The study concludes that value education is not merely a curriculum supplement, but a fundamental instrument to control the flow of globalization and ensure the educational process continues to humanize individuals. Its long-term impact is the formation of a civilized, tolerant society and a workforce with high integrity to support sustainable national development.

In the digital era, elementary school students possess high technical fluency (digital native) but are not balanced with ethical maturity and digital responsibility, triggering negative behaviors such as cyberbullying and the spread of false information. Previous research on TPACK has focused more on teacher competency and cognitive outcomes, without addressing the systematic management aspect for strengthening students' responsible character. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) management in improving digital literacy and strengthening student responsibility in elementary schools with different environmental contexts. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study at SDN Cikaret Cianjur (rural) and SDN Cibeureum Sukabumi (urban). Data were collected through in-depth interviews (informants: principal, teachers, students), participant observation, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña as well as triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the study show that systematic TPACK management through the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling has proven effective in improving students' digital literacy and strengthening digital responsibility. Cibeureum Elementary School (urban) achieved higher performance than Cikaret Elementary School. Implementation challenges include limited technology infrastructure in rural areas, low TPK competency among some teachers, and a weak data-based evaluation system. The study recommends a sustainable TPACK training program, equitable distribution of ICT resources, and the development of a data-based evaluation system

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is expected not only to develop students’ religious knowledge but also to foster religious behavior and internalization of Islamic values. However, assessment practices in PAI learning remain predominantly focused on cognitive-based summative evaluation. This study aims to analyze the gap between students’ summative assessment scores and their religious behavior from the perspective of Marzano’s Taxonomy. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students at SDIT Izzatul Islam Muaro Jambi. Data were collected through documentation of summative scores, observation of religious behavior, and supporting interviews. The findings reveal that although most students achieved high academic performance in PAI, their consistency in religious behavior and intrinsic religious awareness was not yet optimal. From Marzano’s Taxonomy perspective, this condition indicates achievement in the knowledge acquisition dimension, but limited development in meaningful knowledge utilization and the self-system dimension. The study emphasizes the need to reorient PAI learning and assessment toward a more holistic and reflective approach to achieve authentic and sustainable religious character development. This study aims to determine the use of interactive digital media Padlet on descriptive writing skills in grade IV of UPT SDN 206 Gresik, and to determine the obstacles teachers face when implementing descriptive writing skills learning using interactive digital media Padlet. This study uses a qualitative approach with 23 research subjects in grade IV. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of interactive digital media Padlet can improve students' skills in learning to write descriptions. Students become more active in expressing ideas, composing sentences, choosing vocabulary, and composing descriptive paragraphs coherently. Of the 23 students, 16 students were able to write descriptive paragraphs according to the topic in the very good category, 12 students understood the paragraph structure well and correctly in the good category, and 10 students were able to use appropriate vocabulary in the fairly good category. In addition, Padlet facilitates collaborative learning through reading and commenting on friends' writing. Obstacles faced by teachers in using Padlet include limited internet network and low motivation for some students to learn to write descriptions. Overall, the interactive digital media Padlet is effective for learning to write descriptions and can be an alternative medium for learning Indonesian in elementary schools.
