Abstract

This research is motivated by the low creativity of students in Arts and Culture learning at SDN 06 Kodo, Bima City. Learning that is still centered on the teacher causes students to be given less opportunity to explore ideas and innovate in their work. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the application of the Discovery Learning learning model on increasing the creativity of fifth grade students in Arts and Culture subjects. The type of research used is a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were 14 fifth grade students. Data collection was carried out through practical tests and creativity tests covering aspects of refinement, flexibility, uniqueness, and idea development. Data were analyzed using normality tests, reliability tests, and hypothesis tests with the help of the SPSS version 26 program. The results showed an increase in the average student score from 75.00 in the pretest to 90.00 in the posttest. The peered sample t-test produced a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Abstract

This study aims to identify the strategies used by second-grade teachers in overcoming early reading difficulties at SDN Sidoharjo 02 and to explore the challenges encountered in their implementation. The research arises from the low early reading ability among lower-grade elementary students. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation involving one teacher and ten second-grade students. Data analysis followed an interactive model through data reduction, presentation, and verification.The findings reveal that teachers apply several key strategies, including daily reading habituation, turn-taking and group reading, individual guidance, and collaboration with parents. These strategies effectively improve students’ fluency and letter recognition. However, teachers face challenges such as varying reading abilities among students, limited instructional time, insufficient learning media, and minimal parental involvement. The study highlights the importance of collaboration among teachers, schools, and families in fostering early literacy skills. The results contribute to strengthening collaborative-based reading instruction practices in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Strategic Plan and Operational Plan in improving educational quality in the era of deep learning at one public elementary school in Tanah Laut Regency. The background of this research is the importance of strategic and operational planning as fundamental instruments to ensure schools remain adaptive, effective, and oriented toward meaningful learning in response to the demands of 21st-century education. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the implementation of Strategic Plan and Operational Plan supports school management, instructional leadership, and continuous quality improvement. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed through data triangulation to ensure validity and reliability. The findings reveal that the effective implementation of Strategic Plan and Operational Plan is strongly influenced by visionary and instructional leadership of the principal, participatory communication, collaborative school culture, systematic monitoring and evaluation, and efficient resource management. Furthermore, the integration of strategic planning with instructional practices encourages adaptive curriculum development, professional growth of teachers, and improved learning processes aligned with deep learning principles. Continuous monitoring and evaluation enable schools to identify challenges, improve program effectiveness, and sustain quality improvement. In conclusion, the implementation of Strategic Plan and Operational Plan supported by strong leadership and systematic evaluation significantly contributes to sustainable school quality improvement in the deep learning era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan retribusi daerah pada bidang perhubungan di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), mengevaluasi arah kebijakan yang diterapkan dalam rangka peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD), serta merumuskan formula penetapan tarif retribusi alat angkut yang proporsional dan berkeadilan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods) dengan mengombinasikan penelitian hukum normatif dan analisis ekonomi. Data diperoleh melalui studi dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan retribusi daerah di bidang perhubungan di PPU telah memiliki dasar hukum yang memadai, namun implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan optimalisasi aset, efektivitas pemungutan, dan penyesuaian tarif dengan nilai ekonomi riil. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kebijakan retribusi berbasis digital, penyesuaian tarif berbasis biaya dan manfaat (cost–benefit), serta optimalisasi aset daerah sebagai instrumen peningkatan PAD yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Speaking ability is one of the essential language skills in Indonesian language learning; however, in practice, students’ speaking ability remains relatively low due to a lack of confidence, fluency, and active participation in the learning process. This problem was also found among eighth-grade students of SMPN 3 Natar, South Lampung, who demonstrated limited participation and difficulty in expressing ideas orally. This study aimed to improve students’ speaking ability through the implementation of cooperative learning strategies. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were eighth-grade students of SMPN 3 Natar, South Lampung. Data were collected through speaking ability tests, observations of students’ and teachers’ activities, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques to identify improvements in students’ speaking ability in each cycle. The results showed that the application of cooperative learning strategies significantly improved students’ speaking ability, as indicated by increased confidence in speaking, fluency, clarity in expressing ideas, accuracy of pronunciation, and vocabulary mastery from the pre-cycle to Cycle II. Therefore, cooperative learning strategies are effective in enhancing students’ speaking ability in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Morph PowerPoint in improving the learning outcomes of seventh grade students in Arts and Culture at SMP Negeri 3 Panca Rijang. This study used a true experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was 67 seventh grade students, while the research sample consisted of an experimental class (VII.1) and a control class (VII.3), each consisting of 23 students. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test given before and after the treatment. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 50.43, which increased to 91.52, while the control class experienced an increase from 48.04 to 81.52. The N-Gain analysis showed that the experimental class had a score of 82.94% (effective) and the control class 63.33% (quite effective). Thus, it can be concluded that Morph PowerPoint is proven to be effective in improving students' learning outcomes in Arts and Culture.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the basic economic literacy of third-grade students at SD PLUS IT Padangsidimpuan through the application of the GALUR learning model integrated with contextual learning activities. The study involved 23 students and was carried out in two cycles following the Kemmis and McTaggart framework of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations, interviews, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The implementation of contextual activities—such as canteen observation and a mini-market simulation—enabled students to experience authentic economic situations, thereby strengthening their understanding of needs and wants, goods and services, and simple transaction processes. The findings indicate a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 55 in the pre-cycle to 69 in Cycle I and 84 in Cycle II, along with an increase in mastery from 61% to 91%. These results demonstrate that the integration of the GALUR model and contextual activities effectively enhances students’ economic literacy and supports more meaningful thematic learning in elementary education

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often hampered by students' difficulty understanding non-concrete concepts. This situation requires the use of more diverse and interactive learning aids, one of which is PhET Simulation. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of PhET Simulation in influencing students' mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary school level. The method used was a literature study using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to relevant scientific articles published in the last five years. The findings of this study indicate that the use of PhET Simulation has a positive influence on the development of students' learning outcomes and understanding of mathematical concepts. In addition, the use of this media can also increase student participation and learning interest during the teaching process. Therefore, PhET Simulation can be an alternative choice of effective learning media to support mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Terumbu karang merupakan ekosistem laut yang kompleks, terbentuk dari endapan kalsium karbonat yang dihasilkan oleh organisme laut kecil yang dikenal dengan polip karang, dan memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekologi laut. Selain berfungsi sebagai habitat berbagai spesies, terumbu karang juga memiliki nilai ekonomi strategis, khususnya dalam mendukung sektor pariwisata bahari. Kawasan Gili Air, Gili Meno, dan Gili Trawangan (Gili Matra) dikenal sebagai destinasi wisata unggulan di Indonesia berkat keindahan ekosistem bawah lautnya. Namun demikian, aktivitas pariwisata yang tidak terkendali serta tekanan perubahan iklim telah mengancam kelestarian terumbu karang di kawasan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pengelolaan terumbu karang berbasis teknologi Biorock dalam mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan di Gili Matra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan terumbu karang dilakukan melalui kolaborasi masyarakat lokal, organisasi nirlaba, dan yayasan. Teknologi Biorock terbukti efektif mempercepat pertumbuhan karang dua sampai enam kali lebih cepat dibandingkan kondisi alami ataupun menggunakan metode manual. Selain itu, berbagai program pendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan juga dilakukan, antara lain pemberian beasiswa bagi perempuan lokal untuk mengikuti pelatihan menyelam dan konservasi, pelaksanaan pendidikan dan penelitian, pengembangan kemitraan dengan pemangku kepentingan, serta kegiatan pembersihan sampah secara rutin setiap minggu.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the regional development strategy of Bukittinggi City based on the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for 2024 and its budget allocation changes. The main problem of the research is how APBD changes reflect development priorities and their implications for the regional economy. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with financial ratio analysis and comparative evaluation between the budget before and after amendments. Secondary data was obtained from official documents of the Amended Regional Budget Regulation for Fiscal Year 2024 of Bukittinggi City. The research findings indicate an increase in regional revenue of IDR 17.42 billion (2.30%), primarily from intergovernmental transfers which increased by IDR 19.17 billion (56.90%). Capital expenditure experienced a significant increase of IDR 3.36 billion (5.00%), particularly in road, network, and irrigation spending which increased by 86.52%. These findings indicate that the Bukittinggi City Government prioritizes infrastructure development as the main strategy to enhance connectivity and regional economic growth, consistent with regional development theory emphasizing the importance of capital investment in stimulating long-term economic growth.
