Abstract

This research was motivated by the low listening skills of students in folklore lessons in Indonesian Language subject at grad VB of SDN 004 Salo. One solution to overcome this problem is by applying the Storytelling learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media. The purpose of this study is to improve students’ listening skills in folklore learing in Indonesian Language subject. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings and four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was carried out in August 2025. The subjects of this study were 14 fifth-grade students consisting of 8 boys dan 6 grils. Data collection techniques included observation, written tests, and documentation. Before the action was taken, the students’ listening skills in folklore were 29%. In cycle I meeting I, itu increased to 36%, and in cycle I metting II, it further increased to 43%. In cycle II meeting I, it rose to 57%, and in cycle II meeting II, it reached 86%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Storytelling learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media can improve students’ listening skills in folklore in the Indonesian Language subject at SDN 004 Salo.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effect of the Make A Match learning model on student learning activity in Social Science lessons (IPAS) in grade V at SDN 100216. The analysis results show that the implementation of this learning model significantly increases student learning activity, with the average activity score in the experimental class reaching 85%, compared to 70% in the control class. These findings indicate that the Make A Match learning model is effective in attracting students' interest and motivation to learn, and can be used as an alternative in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of Mindfulness-Based Learning (MBL) in enhancing emotional regulation and learning concentration among elementary school students. The research is motivated by the declining attention span and emotional stability of students in the digital era, which affects the learning process. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed in this study. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation conducted at SD Negeri Kranggan 02, Batang Regency, Indonesia. The research participants consisted of the principal, a fifth-grade teacher, and fifteen fifth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the implementation of Mindfulness-Based Learning, through activities such as mindful breathing, self-reflection, and brief moments of silence, helps students calm themselves, become aware of their emotions, and improve their learning concentration during classroom activities. Both teachers and students reported a calmer and more conducive classroom environment. These findings indicate that Mindfulness-Based Learning has the potential to be an effective instructional approach to support emotional regulation and learning concentration in elementary education, in line with the social-emotional development goals of the Merdeka Curriculum. Abstract

This research aims to explore human theory, potential, and management from the perspective of Hadith. This journal uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Humans are the most noble creatures created by Allah compared to other creatures. Every human being certainly has their own potential or strengths. Potential can support every educational process, as education is one of the fundamental aspects of human life that plays a crucial role in shaping character, developing potential, and preparing future generations. In the Islamic perspective, education is not just a process of transferring knowledge, but a holistic process that encompasses the development of the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social aspects of humans. This study will discuss the concepts of human nature, educational potential, and management in depth, analyzed from the perspective of the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low narrative writing skills of students in Indonesian language lessons in Grade III of SDN 006 Pasir Sialang. One solution to overcome this problem is the implementation of the Critical Incident learning approach assisted by serial picture media. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ narrative writing skills in Indonesian language lessons. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings and four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was carried out in August 2025. The subjects of this study were 15 third-grade students, consisting of 6 boys and 9 girls. Data collection techniques included observation, written test questions, and documentation. Prior to the implementation of the action, students’ narrative writing ability was 26.6%. In Cycle I Meeting I, it increased to 46.6%, and in Cycle I Meeting II it increased to 66.6%. Furthermore, in Cycle II Meeting I it increased to 80%, and in Cycle II Meeting II it increased to 93.3%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Critical Incident learning strategy assisted by serial picture media can improve students’ narrative writing skills in Indonesian language subjects at SD 006 Pasir Sialang.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that elementary school students must develop. However, observational findings at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 014 Pulau Payung indicate that students' achievement in this area remains low. This study aims to examine the effect of the PQ4R learning model assisted by mind mapping on the reading comprehension ability of fifth-grade students. An experimental method was employed using a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of class VA (26 students) as the experimental group and class VB (25 students) as the control group. The research instrument was a reading comprehension test. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed improvement in both groups, but the increase was significantly greater in the experimental class. The average pretest and posttest scores in the control class were 9.08 and 14.28, respectively, while those in the experimental class were 7.65 and 19.04. The data met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity, and the t-test revealed a significance value of less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. It is concluded that the PQ4R model supported by mind mapping is effective in enhancing students’ reading comprehension skills across all measured indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence profile of young adult women who grew up without a father. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the emotional experiences of the participants. There were ten participants, all young adult women who grew up without a father. Data collection was conducted through observation and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis used the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the participants' emotional intelligence was still developing and was greatly influenced by their life experiences without a father. An unstable childhood also contributed to different emotional adaptations in each participant. The participants' emotional intelligence showed positive development, but had not yet reached the ideal level. This fatherless condition presented emotional challenges that shaped the participants' adaptive abilities in early adulthood.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of inclusive classroom management in elementary schools to support the learning of students with special needs. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review related to inclusive education and classroom management practices. The results of the study indicate that effective inclusive classroom management requires a systematic process of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling that is oriented towards the needs of students. Teachers apply various learning strategies, such as learning differentiation, collaboration between educators, project-based learning, and cooperative learning to increase student participation. In addition, the role of teachers as facilitators, motivators, and mediators, as well as the support of an inclusive school environment, contributes to creating a conducive learning atmosphere. Thus, inclusive classroom management needs to be implemented comprehensively and collaboratively in elementary schools.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the era of Society 5.0 has encouraged the education sector to adapt through the utilization of technology-based learning media, one of which is Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, the shift in learning paradigms from conventional to digital approaches often results in decreased student learning motivation if it is not accompanied by appropriate instructional strategies. This study aims to analyze the utilization of Artificial Intelligence as a learning medium in enhancing students’ learning motivation. The research method employed is a library research approach, examining various scientific journals, research articles, and academic sources relevant to the topics of AI and learning motivation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the use of AI as a learning medium such as chatbots, educational games, instructional videos, interactive quizzes, and AI-based adaptive media positively contributes to improving students’ learning motivation across various educational levels. AI is able to create learning experiences that are more engaging, interactive, personalized, and aligned with learners’ needs, thereby increasing interest, active participation, and learning persistence. Therefore, Artificial Intelligence can be regarded as a relevant and effective innovation in learning media to support the enhancement of students’ learning motivation in the digital era.

Abstract

This research investigates how philosophical hermeneutics, particularly in language philosophy (philosophy) can be used to evaluate the nature of text interpretation in an age where artificial intelligence is at its core. The research focuses on understanding how much AI-generated texts show real understanding, and how this process differs from human interpretation based on history, purpose, and the exchange of meaning. Using a qualitative and philosophical approach, the study explores classical hermeneutics and modern digital text creation. Information was gathered from hermeneutic writings, language philosophy research, and examples of outputs from AI language models to compare the structure of human meaning with computational processes. The findings show that AI can create coherent language patterns, but lacks the depth of experience, meaning horizon, and reflective thinking that are essential in hermeneutics. The study also found that machine-generated interpretations are often disconnected from context and are based on existing data rather than meaningful dialogue. The unique part of this research is combining classical hermeneutics with digital interpretation methods to create a model for evaluating the limits of AI interpretation. The study’s findings highlight the importance of critical literacy when using AI-generated texts and the value of keeping human interpreters in areas like academia, education, and religion where deep understanding is necessary.
